I am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded.

Why is President Trump threatening to veto a $1.3 trillion spending bill?
Not because of too much spending....

Trump taking over a brand while doing the right thing elsewhere.
Anything described as "omnibus" in Washington is generally bad. I don't like taking the bus, let alone multiple busses.
And, there is way too much fucking spending in the bill.
But, you take the good with the bad. That is life.
Neither party has gotten control of government spending. Gramm-Rudman in the 80s actually made some progress, but it was overturned by SCOTUS on legally esoteric grounds.
What a cluster F. Shame on both houses.
If the D-party are happy about it, it's a 100% cluster F.
Doing the right thing for the less persuasive reason is still right.
He gets to veto the bill that doesn't fund the wall (making his base happy) while claiming he's doing it over the failure to address DACA (making their base happy).
It's a fucking 13% increase in spending, thats why. Trump is treading water, but occasionally his face slips below the swamps surface.
It only took 6 months to add the latest 1T to the debt.
We're sunk, I'm afraid.
Thank God. I hope Trump will Veto. Its ridiculous. He was elected on building the wall, Ryan and McConnell SAY they want to build a wall - but refuse to fund it.
They even refused to defund sanctuary cities or give the INS more $$$.
Meanwhile, they gave Chuckie Schumer all the pork he wanted, and funded every other Democrat program.
Eh. Looks like he thinks it is time for one of the many fights we've been ignoring as a country.
Trump must have been watching TV this morning and realized how badly his base is responding to the spending bill.
That's the work of a stable genius.
Republicans: We are fiscal conservatives.
Skims the new omnibus bill.
Me: Fool me 614 times, shame on me.
"Considering" a veto? If he doesn't make a stand against a budget that explicitly prohibits a real wall, his presidency is effectively over.
The Congressional Republicans have been getting away with their CON for too long.
Tell voters their going to do X, then once in DC refuse to it.
Blame the Democrats. "We don't have the Senate" "Obama will veto" and now "Chuck Schemer made us do it"
We're going to get massacred in Nov 2018 - if this continues.
I haven't been keeping up, but I thought Mexico was going to pay for the wall?
Because he sees it was a congressional ploy to weaken Trump and separate him from his base. Rush said this yesterday and DJT either learned of the argument or figured it out on his own.
There's 1 billion in there for destroying part of our chemical weapons stockpile. Let's keep the WMD and use the money to pay for illegal alien benefits instead.
Shut down the education department, the EPA, commerce and energy without retroactive pay when the government comes back up.

Here's Ryan doing the give and take with the Dems. Chuck would be proud.
Trump wants the increase in military spending. To get that, he is acquiescing in the increase of all the other spending.
That's how the swamp operates.
Maybe, the base will rise up and save him from the mistake. Veto the Bill!
And when are they going to stop funding the Government with continuing resolutions and 2,000 page omnibus budget bills - that 99% of them don't read?
Its obvious they don't want to do their job. They just want accept bribes from Big Business and then hand out the pork.
BTW,Trump could get money from Mexico - but Congress would still have to authorize spending it. The money isn't the problem, they have the money, they just don't want to use it to build the wall.
First, he lets them try to humiliate him. Then, by waiting for them to pass it, he lets them reveal their disgusting legislative instincts, and can humiliate them by vetoing it. Much more powerful than quiet, backroom negotiation.

That's the home of the National Weather Service. Do you want Tornado Warnings?
How about Hurricane forecasts? Are those valuable? Satellite Imagery? Data derived from Satellites that is input into Numerical Models?
Forecast skill at 7 days is roughly where it was for 1-2 days back in the 80s. That's an incredible scientific revolution that has happened in your lifetime.
That's the home of the National Weather Service. Do you want Tornado Warnings?
Private market.
Radio is constantly being interrupted by bogus storm warnings. Good riddence.
Where does the Private Market get their data? National Weather Service.
It would be fantastic if he vetoed this, but he won't.
It worked great not long ago. A shutdown that forces Democrats to put illegals ahead of American citizens. Trump can play this card as often as the Democrats give him the opportunity.
Notice our soyboy Chuckles avoids this post like it had herpes? Surprise surprise.

Yep.
And Paul Ryan says "This is how the process works." I guess "the process" is giving the Dems everything they want and then telling the people back home that it's too complicated for them to understand.
Paul Ryan is a yuge disappointment.
1) Move the national weather service to NASA.
2) I hope Trump vetoes the bill. It was bills like this that got Trump elected.
And Paul Ryan says "This is how the process works."
The point of electing Republicans was to change the process.
Democrat : Republican :: Coke : Pepsi
He wants Wall Street to have a total and complete melt down? He just wants a shut down for shits and giggles? Who knows?
In my humble opinion, he must veto it. He needs to draw a line in the sand with Congress, or be considered complicit in their fiscal mismanagement. I can see why he chose the DACA position as the public stand, but whatever gets him to a veto has my support.
DaTrump Master is playing for time. He wants smooth sailing until the the arrests of half of the DEMs and RINOs for corruption and mass bribery starts. There is always time to fix it later.
But meanwhile back at the ranch, he is necktying the DEMs with deporting the DACA kids. Trump may be Kenyan too...he uses Mau Mau tactics.
He cries big fat tears for the DACA kids. What a tender heart he has.
Stephen Green says:
"And what they did of course was lard up the Omnibus with enough leftwing pork to make Democrats croon. And on bonuses for themselves. And which rejects Trump's cuts to the EPA and DOE. Zero funding for that yuge border wall. Hell, they wouldn't even defund Planned Parenthood.
You know what the difference is between this week's Omnibus and 2009's Stimulus? When the Democrats were spending us into oblivion, they delivered the goods to their own constituents instead of the other side's. They didn't load up their bill with GOP priorities. Instead, we got Obama's "I won" and "elections have consequences" and all that.
Well, apparently some elections don't have consequences, because we have a Republican Congress spending like Democrats on Democratic interests. "
Say hello to corruptocrat rule in 2018. oh joy.
Trump you magnificent bastard, do it for the children!
Why--because he watched fox and friends and the bill was criticized by a guest. He's that simple.
Better veto it, POTUS, or there will be hell to pay.
This is the hill to die on.
Trump also wants to testify under oath to Mueller. I'll believe he wants to veto this bill or talk to Mueller when he does.
Rand Paul has been all over this bill, as perhaps the only Senator that read the whole thing. And his take makes it clear how bad this bill is. Funding border walls in Egypt and Tunisia but not USA. It's big FU from Congress to Trump so he should veto it.
The DACA recipients are protected under a February 27th court order, so Trump isn’t fooling anyone that he is veto-ing it because of DACA.
“A federal judge in California ruled Monday that the government can't revoke DACA recipients' work permits or other protections without giving them notice and a chance to defend themselves.”
Immigration is the other hill to die. There are two hills. No retreat no surrender. Win or die.
... to die on.
Plus, per Rush Limbaugh, every single agency Trump wants to eliminate as redundant was given funding--in most cases, MORE funding than previously. It's a deliberate slap in the face to Trump from the swamp dwellers.
I hope he vetoes it.
He cries big fat tears for the DACA kids.
Chuck and Nancy: [looking at all the loot for them in the bill] "DACA? What's DACA?"
Only funding for 65 more ICE agents and only about one million for the border wall while there is funding for Obamacare and planned parenthood. The Republicans caved again.
“A federal judge in California ruled Monday that the government can't revoke DACA recipients' work permits or other protections without giving them notice and a chance to defend themselves.”
The second it is overturned - and it will be - they'll begin to be deported. The Dems will cry for more time, and Trump will say they had plenty of time and they did nothing to help those kids with it.
Better he veto this and settle it now. He can be the one who cared enough to end their limbo. He can be the one who doesn't kick problems to the next administration, but forces the two sides to get together and get something done.
CNN reporting that Sibyl is going to sign it despite the tweet.
“Chuck and Nancy: [looking at all the loot for them in the bill] "DACA? What's DACA?"”

The Republicans are playing a stupid game because the GOPe is full of stupid people. It's called, "we'll use our money to pay for the military, and you can use yours on whatever you like".
It's like mom getting dad to pay for all the home repairs out of his allowance while she spends hers on shoes.
The chess game moves are for the 2018 and 2020 elections. And Trump repeatedly pointed his spotlight at how the Dem's splashed the Dem's hispanic voters. And the Black voters watched that happen.
Checkmate!
The DACA recipients are protected under a February 27th court order, so Trump isn’t fooling anyone that he is veto-ing it because of DACA.
I already responded to that. You don't get a judge to make an unconstitutional ruling to buy time so you can pretend the problem is "fixed".
Unless you're unserious about fixing it.
The point of electing Republicans was to change the process.
Exactly.
I'd like to bitch slap Paul Ryan until he cries like a girl. Because I can't stand the look on his face.
Can I get arrested for saying that?
“CNN reporting that Sibyl is going to sign it despite the tweet.”
Hahahahaha! Even he doesn’t know from one moment to the next what he’ll do. What a man, what a man what a man, what a mighty good man! At the very least maybe he’ll have a meltdown at the press conference. That would be very entertaining.
So now I hear he won’t take questions, hahahahahaha!
A court order that cannot stand, and will expire/be overruled.
The DACA people have a stay of execution thereby, not a pardon.
The only way they stay, with any security, is through legislation.
Good thing they voted raises for themselves. They love spending our money on themselves!
If Ryan is the only legislator to read the whole thing, I'm wondering who it is that wrote the whole thing. Is it a pretty fiction that many lawmakers wrote, or had their staff write, the bill? Or is this omnibus bill a product of the deep state?
Dear Donald: The late Tom Petty left you a message before he died.
And about that 12/21/2017 Executive Order declaring a forfeiture of the assets gained world wide by entities and politicians that have engaged in political corruption schemes and in the Human/Child Trafficking industry. That Munchkin guy at Treasury has total authority to seize those assets. That may be enough loot to pay off the Debt. It comes from the Saudis bribe network and the CIA run Afghan Heroin Industry.
Just think of it as the State nationalizing private businesses. That will make the Marxists do a double take.
"Is it a pretty fiction that many lawmakers wrote, or had their staff write, the bill? Or is this omnibus bill a product of the deep state?"
All of the above, certainly. As we all saw with the Obamacare bill, it was a collection of desiderata from all sorts of lobbyists and Congressional staff. This thing is easier as it does not even have to pretend to fit together into something that can be construed as a system.
Hey Donald, the word on the street is that Congress plans to make you its punk-ass bitch.
"Dear Donald: The late Tom Petty left you a message before he died."
Earnest Prole! You can't blurt out "Tom's Petty's dead" just like that. Have some compassion for the many here who are still rolling around in the 90s and have hella catching up to do. For the love of God, if anybody starts singing Purple Rain, just be quiet and let them!
stated reasons and real reasons may not equate
Here's a fun website. I spend the morning writing a Perl script to parse a enormous csv file of government contractors acquired from it so it can be put into a database.
Sometimes an operating system gets so clogged with accumulated background startups the best fix is to start with a reinstall of the operating system and selectively add software.
Sometimes a swamp becomes so fetid, the best fix is to shut off all inflow of water, and selectively re-open the necessary ones.
Sometimes a Government gets so clogged with accumulated bloat, the best fix is to shut it down and selectively open funding for essential activity.
The weeding out [supposedly being done?] of every department for redundancy and waste should precede any increase in spending. Ron Paul was on Varney this morning suggested the budget should be frozen for the time being.
Whatever, Hammond will continue to vote Libertarian this Nov. If every Libertarian on every ballot were elected, things could not be worse than the present situation - unless Hillary! were running as a Libertarian.
"Hey Donald, the word on the street is that Congress plans to make you its punk-ass bitch."
It might. Like I have said, over and over, Trump is unlikely to win, he is effectively alone against all the earthly powers. Which is why, as I also said, once in Washington he will have every mans hand against him. As in any decadent society, the earthly powers are in complete charge of your leadership, both political and cultural.
For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places.
Ephesians 6:12
I see Rand Paul is endorsing a Convention of States as well.
A balanced budget ammendment will help these tools do their jobs correctly.
And right after that, term limits for congress.
Hammond,
By referring to yourself in third person, are you distancing yourself from your actions?
Here in southern AZ, Mexicans come across the border every day--legally--to shop, seek medical care, have babies [!], etc. Does anyone actually keep track of whether or not they ever leave? Seriously? The wall might stop some of the criminal traffic and drugs [because the border patrol uses dogs who are pretty good at detection] but certainly not all. Not that I'm not in favor of a wall but there are other measures necessary if we are serious about stemming illegal immigration.
He's signing it. I'm outta here. Fucking government.
On the big picture, Yes, Government Spending is a bear.
Of course, our leftist friends, don't give a shit about it, they just want more. Any Democrat who talks about the National Debt or Deficits must be ignored.
The problem, which I hate to admit, is that most Republicans are of the similar mindset. Not necessarily in their words, but their deeds. Expand the state and bring back pork to their home states.
The only solace is that the few elected folks who tend to be non-spenders (maybe 12-15 of them) are conservative Republicans or libertarians. But so what? They don't carry enough sway, and don't have the numbers to effectuate policy.
And the beat goes on.
Because of the people on the TV that talk to him.
https://www.mediaite.com/online/did-this-fox-friends-diatribe-from-pete-hegseth-lead-to-trumps-last-minute-scuttling-of-swamp-budget/
I did email the President this morning asking him to veto the bill.
I can't wait for the uniparty to absolutely erupt when Trump vetoes this train wreck.
It is fun to watch idiots like readering and inga pretend their swamp heroes are smarter than Trump. The same dumb shits who believed Trump would be impeached for "collusion."
Achilles said...I can't wait for the uniparty to absolutely erupt when Trump vetoes this train wreck.
You CAN wait; it won't happen. I'm surprised he's even willing to pretend like it's a real threat. I mean, I agree it'd be great, but it won't happen.
I'm done. I have marched, called, written voted ect...and they still ignore us. They can take my vote and shove it. What difference does it make really?
You guys are all wrong about Paul Ryan. He didn't cave. He is on the other side.
By the end of this the GOPe will be dead. Flake and McCain will be gone. The republican party will be the party of the middle/working class. There is no constituency for open borders/stupid wars/crony corruption outside of the big cities.
The uniparty will retreat to the democrat party temporarily where all the neocons/plutocrats are currently hiding. It will be a fringe regional party living in coastal enclaves dominated by plutocrats and illegal voters.
“He's signing it. I'm outta here. Fucking government.”
“I'm done. I have marched, called, written voted ect...and they still ignore us. They can take my vote and shove it. What difference does it make really?”
“I did email the President this morning asking him to veto the bill.”
He loves all that military money, so does NSA Director Bolton.
What did you seriously expect?
I'm done.
I didn't vote for Pelosi and Schumer to run the government. Also, Trump is full of shit. His approval rating is about to tank.
Nevermind that sucks.
This is not a good day.
“I'm done.”
“Nevermind that sucks.
This is not a good day.”
Sorry, but I’m laughing at you who were such Trump sycophants. This must be very painful for you, I should be more sympathetic.
This may be the turning point for Trump. If he loses his base over this (not to mention his trade war), he's basically toast. He'll almost certainly end up being impeached without the support of his base. I'm uncertain if he fully grasps the gravity of the situation.
He is clever, whether we like it or not. A veto would be appreciated whatever the stated reasons. Only profligate Democrats and their parasites can love this bill.
Democrats voted 100% for this spending.
What a terrible choice.
Trump just hammered in his own nail.
“Democrats voted 100% for this spending.
What a terrible choice.”
And you people voted for Trump.
Apparently Trump doesn't really mind when Schumer grabs him by the pussy.
“Trump just hammered in his own nail.”
Hahahahaha! From Ms Trump Sycophanta herself! What a day!
The unsustainable deficit crowd are happy.
Inga laughs. Well you should be happy - your Schumer and your Nancy win!
Inga- the Hillary Clinton Sycophant, laughs and laughs.
I stuck with Trump through the election and up to now. No more. That's it for me, sports fans. Mueller can have him. JPG
Trump is worried about 800,000 Dachau "recipients?" Can he name one? Trump just brought into his administration Heinrich Himmler's body double John Bolton to bring some much needed joy to the State Department. The ravages of Trump's presidency may be unprecedented in human history. I would move to Chile if I had the wherewithal to do so. I studied Spanish for five years, so that would make the transition easier. Well, I can go to my local Chili's instead. Take a look at their eye-popping menu here:

"And you people voted for Trump."
"Hahahahaha! From Ms Trump Sycophanta herself! What a day!"
Heh, let the leftwing gloating begin!
Yes, I voted for Trump. Yes, I will vote for Trump in 2020. And, Yes, this spending bill fucking sucks.
That's how life operates - particularly in the political world.
“Inga- the Hillary Clinton Sycophant, laughs and laughs.”
Wrong, I voted for a third party candidate, but you bragged about how you voted for Trump and it was you who continued to enable him and make excuses for him. What’s your excuse for him now? Hmmm?
Yes, I will vote for Trump in 2020.
Yes I do believe you will. Hahahaha.
Ah..took the "Don't blame me" route.
The guaranteed gloat route. Give a hi-5 to Gadfly.
Figures.
"But you pissed down my neck and told me it was raining."
"That's how the process works."
Trump: I am Become Deep State
On Drudge, Trump said, "Never Again!"
Heh, that actually made me laugh. "Always more spending!" is the reality.
Trump's gotta be careful politically, though. He's not in a position to piss away political support while Mueller and the "Get Trump" Squad keep lurking about.
Most importantly, though, is not losing the House. With that, comes impeachment and more circuses.
Inga- Nobody buys that you didn't vote Hillary.

As always, the truth is out there.
For all of you disappointed, Angelo Codevilla -
Codevilla - Ruling Class
They are not on your side. Paul Ryan is as much as bought man as any of them (ask me about the private pensions legislation of 2012). But this does not resolve the paradoxical situation, as this all is not sustainable, yet there is no path to resolution.
"How the country class and ruling class might clash on each item of their contrasting agendas is beyond my scope. Suffice it to say that the ruling class’s greatest difficulty — aside from being outnumbered — will be to argue, against the grain of reality, that the revolution it continues to press upon America is sustainable. For its part, the country class’s greatest difficulty will be to enable a revolution to take place without imposing it. "
DB@H: You'll be back on your knees for Trump lickity Split
@Inga,
Me: "Yes, I will vote for Trump in 2020."
Inga: "Yes I do believe you will. Hahahaha."
Hey, I'm just being honest:) I'm still glad Hillary's not president -- it's like a daily dose of Colorado oxygen that immunizes me from the inevitable disappointment of politics.
Beautiful young actress: "I came to your room because you said I was perfect for a breakout role and you raped me!"
Harvey Weinstein: "That's how the process works."
Trump will be cleared by Mueller in 1-month once he signed his get out of jail free card today
There were reasons I supported Scott Walker first, Ted Cruz second and finally voted against Hillary Clinton.
If only I could remember what the reasons were.
Nonapod said...This may be the turning point for Trump. If he loses his base over this (not to mention his trade war), he's basically toast. He'll almost certainly end up being impeached without the support of his base. I'm uncertain if he fully grasps the gravity of the situation.
Seems like there's a "good of the country" argument in there somewhere--for grudgingly supporting the GOP & Trump I mean.
I agree with you that if the Repubs do badly enough at the midterms the Dems are nuts enough to push hard for impeachment & removal even absent really credible evidence of a high crime.
Such a move would "hurt" the country in a way that's hard to fully imagine.
If people care about "healing the nation" or (whatever bullshit I'm always hearing about) they ought to oppose that outcome as strongly as possible now, oughtn't they? That would mean voting for Repubs or at the very least refusing to support Dems who would vote for impeachment & removal (which...is almost all of 'em).
Personally I'm leaning more towards the "burn it all down" position. An impeachment & removal that was supported by less than half of the nation and helped fatally undermine our current political institutions sounds juuuuust about right.
What did that accomplish. Tillerson said it best.
Hillary is still not president. We have that.
Suck on that, Howard.
If I had voted for Hillary, I'd lie about it, too. So many people swear they voted for Jill Stein, it's a miracle she isn't President.
Trump bamboozled you folks, so how many more of you will vote for him again?
Dear Resident Leftist Collectivists:
Is the spending your party supports (but only 100% supports) sustainable?
It's fun to watch the all leftists who care so deeply about the deficit, wake up and cheer.
If I had voted for Hillary, I'd lie about it, too. So many people swear they voted for Jill Stein, it's a miracle she isn't President.
Exactly.
Trump said he didn’t want to get into any more foreign wars...lol. All that money for the military and his choice of Bolton says otherwise. How many more lies did you folks believe?
Inga is out of commenting retirement.
She wants it known that she hates Trump for signing legislation that her party supported at a clip of 100%.
Remember, leftwing democrats who voted for Hillary, they care deeply about massive deficits and are very troubled by this spending.
John Bolton is the next frontier within the hivemind conspiracy. According to the hivemind, John Bolton is a Russian spy.
Looks like the noises the left was making about pretending to care about deficits is down the memory hole.
If you want a U.S.Space Force to shoot down the Chinese Space force at high noon, then Trump's Mighty Men need the money NOW. Later is too late. Which is another reason Putin needs to be our ally.
One war at a time is all we need, said Abe Lincoln when Great Britain demanded return of captured diplomats.
And that is your conundrum - you require a revolution, it is a necessity to avoid falling further into a tyrannical state and a paralytic economy. But there is no path to revolutionary change through normal politics, without an actual revolution, and even that is out of the question (for the foreseeable future) until you are irrevocably down the slide. There will be no shooting until some are truly desperate.
There is no exit path here. Your ruling class is not reformable, its training grounds, the universities, and the home of your intellectual class, are hopelessly decadent.
The only hope I see is external discipline, from abroad. This will however take a long time, if it does happen before a crisis. In the meantime the US itself is the most significant global threat, through its own politico-cultural conflict. A US crisis will have devastating global consequences. Personally speaking, there is no certain shelter from such a situation.
Trump to Supporters
Trump alleged on Twitter that Republicans “had to waste money on Dem giveaways in orde to take care of military pay increase and new equipment.”
"If people care about "healing the nation" or (whatever bullshit I'm always hearing about) they ought to oppose that outcome as strongly as possible now, oughtn't they? "
They hate you. It is existential. It is Muslim vs Jew in intensity.
Nope.
Lulz.
“You fucked up, you trusted us!”
But I feel certain that Scott Adams will explain the hypnotism involved in the Master Persuader’s four-dimensional checkmate. Trump got ‘em; he sure did.
God, there are going to be such great tell-all books that will come out of this White House. They will all be available on Amazon, through the Althouse portal.
Now, although the "Ominbus" Budget undeniably sucks, in fairness to Trump, I don't recall that he ever campaigned as a deficit hawk (i.e., cutting spending.) My recollection is that he took Social security and Medicare off the table, and wanted a buncha big infrastructure projects.
It's not fun to be hosed, but I guess I am not surprised by said hosing.
Thank you Sir, may I have another?
DB@H: What? It's hard to hear what your saying with all the slurping
I feel certain Chuck, noted fopdoodle, will tell us how Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan didn't get rolled by their Democrat counterparts.
Then Chuck will tell us that voting for eGOP politicians is so much smarter than voting for conservatives.
Mitch McConnell's website is down.
The Senate Leader, Chuck Schumer, probably restricted McConnell's bandwith in the Omnibus Spending Bill.
“You fucked up, you trusted us!”
LOL, oh lordie.

In case you didn't hear me the first time.
What a relief to Inga..the stock market not threatened by veto.
Whew!

John Bolton is the next frontier within the hivemind conspiracy. According to the hivemind, John Bolton is a Russian spy.
He’s our (the Republicans’) Susan Rice.
And maybe that’s an okay thing.
What is up with the story that Trump told a year ago; that the reason that he could not nominate Bolton for anything was because Bolton had “chased a woman through a hotel one time”? I had never heard that story until Trump brought it up.
The left are delighted that conservatives are pissed, but have no comment on all the Nancy Pork.
Trump bamboozled you folks, so how many more of you will vote for him again?
And the other choice will be whom? In 2016, we didn’t have any.
Winning never gets old
1) Move the national weather service to NASA.
You'd probably have to move all of NOAA. (I've seen this suggestion before, FWIW).
NOAA and NASA at present don't always play well together, but if DOC is torpedoed -- along with DOEducation, if I'm King -- then maybe they'd have to if combined. Would probably have to change NASA's name though.
The conservative Never-Trumpers, finally, after 14 long excruciating months of the wretched Trump Administration are vindicated!
“What is up with the story that Trump told a year ago; that the reason that he could not nominate Bolton for anything was because Bolton had “chased a woman through a hotel one time”? I had never heard that story until Trump brought it up.”

He signed it. Wish he hadn’t. Matt is may have persuaded him that the military needs the money.

Bay Area Guy - you do have a good point. Trump never promised small government. Trump did promise infrastructure spending and to take care of our troops. That makes democrats very very angry.
Democrats prefer shovel ready to nowhere.
DB@H: Good. The Dems would be seriously fucked if Hitlary had won. The Trump wrecking Ball has put the republicans back in the closet where they belong
Here comes Chuck to remind us all that he was right all along. How utterly tiresome. But at least you have Inga and Howard on your side.
No, Chuck, you’ve been wrong all along, except this time. I’ll grant you this one.
Here's the winners and losers from the stupid ass, I mean, "Omnibus" spending bill.
Well, hey, at least the military got a raise. [Ducks and runs to the hills]
Ann Coulter Tweets:
Threatened veto NOT over the ‘F– You’ on the Wall — but over the DREAMERS. Can I sign up with Mueller?
I'm only happy if you stupid cucks get a clue that Trump is a POS that will do anything to save his ass, else this crazy stupid bill and associated crushing debt will be in vain
Best quote of the day re stupid ass, I mean, "Omnibus" Spending Bill:
“I just think the Dreamers were thrown under the omnibus,” said Rep. Luis Gutiérrez (D-Ill.).
“You fucked up, you trusted us!”
We're used to hearing that Chuckles...the Republicans have been telling us that since 1988.
“Trump never promised small government.”
“Trump, known to be a regular “Fox & Friends” viewer, responded to Ingraham on Twitter, writing that “we are not looking to fill all of those positions. Don't need many of them — reduce size of government.””
LOL.
The good news from all this bullshit is that Trump is more scared of Mueller than Putin
Fifth Avenue Trumplicans sound a little shaky today. Just look at "never again" as a figurative veto and not a literal veto. Maybe that will ease your minds. You know, he crowed about being uniquely qualified to fix the system because he knew how it worked! "Not a politician," he said! Kinda like that last guy, with the exotic name, who was uniquely qualified to make the rest of the world love us.
Well at least he's making good on the trade war promise. I can hear the Trumplicans now, "what happened to my 401K?"
Markets don't seem to like the bill.
Howard,
"I'm only happy if you stupid cucks get a clue that Trump is a POS that will do anything to save his ass, else this crazy stupid bill and associated crushing debt will be in vain"
Who, or what, are you FOR?
He's for gloating..like Inga
Reportedly Mattis pressured Trump to sign the bill. Mattis, you may remember, is even tougher than Joe Biden.
Then:
"Juan and Pablo gotta go AND they gotta pay for a wall to keep them out!"
Now:
"Juan and Pablo can stay AND we'll make jacksonjay pay a wall!"
Bwaaahaaaaaaaa!
HoodlumDoodlum said...If people care about "healing the nation" or (whatever bullshit I'm always hearing about) they ought to oppose that outcome as strongly as possible now, oughtn't they? That would mean voting for Repubs or at the very least refusing to support Dems who would vote for impeachment & removal (which...is almost all of 'em).
Sure, in a more sane and reasonable world, people still would vote against Democrats even given today's events. As has always been the case ultimately, if you want a smaller government (less spending) you're out of luck, and you're delusional if you think it could happen (short of a bloody revolution, which is highly unlikely for a number of reasons I won't get into).
Personally I've understood this since young adulthood and have opted for the approach of voting for people who would (in theory) accelerate the spending at a slower rate. Generally that meant voting for people with (R)s after their names. It's basically the lessor of two evils theory. If you're being driven toward a brick wall and you're only choices for drivers are the absolute lead foot and the partial lead foot, the rational decision is obviously the partial lead foot.
I'll continue to vote for whom I believe to be the least destructive person, or more specifically, the person I believe will destroy us more slowly. I believe this is rational. But I also understand that most people don't operate exactly that way. They're prone to tribalism, revenge seeking, gloating, and spitefulness. This is why I believe Trump may have nailed his coffin shut today. For a lot of voters, they'll be so angry they'll feel that it's more important to punish Trump than to do what may be less destructive.
As always, I could be wrong though. That's just how I currently see things.
Senate voted 65-33.
Almost all Dems voted for it, so ignore them. They like big spending.
The Nays:
Manchin (D-WV)
Markey (D-MA)
Merkley (D-OR)
Sanders (I-VT)
Tester (D-MT)
Wyden (D-OR)
These Leftists voted Nay, because they thought the bill wasn't big enough. Manchin will claim that he's a deficit hawk. May have saved this seat, who knows?
Inga - democrats live to waste money and are very successful at it.
We shall see if all this infrastructure spending is worth it . Chuck Schumer just got a huge pile of our dollars for HIS New York rail project.
I doubt you care in any meaningful way. You're really just a hack, Inga.
The House voted 316-113 -- almost all Democrats voted for it.
House Omnibus VOTE BREAKDOWN:
GOP: Yea-150 // Nay-95
DEM: Yea-166 // Nay-18
Thank you, Paul Ryan, May I have another?
Trump wins the small government award when he doesn't fill unnecessary bureaucrat flunky jobs.
Trump' s game playing to get the best deal is frightening Buwaya. Seven years to go. Hold on tight. And remember Trump's better tweet to date:, " ..many fear that a meeting with Kim Jong Un will require skill in dealing with an unpredictable user of military power. But that will be Kim's problem, not mine."
One year ago:
Omnibus bill signed by Trump, WH said wait until we do a budget, tnen we'll .....!
6 months ago:
"I just reached a deal with Chuck and Nancy"
Today:
"Never Again"
Fool me once, ............

Markets don't seem to like the bill.
They prefer it to the trade war of yesterday.
All you need to know about this fiasco is that more Democrats voted in favor of it than Republicans.
Proving once again that the Republican Establishment prefers to work with Democrats rather than their fellow Republicans.
buwaya: Us. It's not a contest between sports teams.
He signed it. He can go to Hell. Fuck it.
Where's Drago? Cat got his tongue?
Hugh Hefner called, he had to sign it...
That's the spirit, Tim! Fuck Him and the whores he rode in on
Elect 60 Trump supporters in the Senate, or threaten McConnell to allow a 50 vote rule, and then blame Trump for. Being ineffective. Until then, get real.
“Where's Drago? Cat got his tongue?”
He always makes himself scarce when he thinks things aren’t going his way.
Talk about dipping your pen in the company ink.
It is difficult to see what function congressional Republicans play at this juncture (beyond lining their own pockets). They have blown out the budget with tax cuts and spending, so they are not deficit hawks, but they don't support any of Trump's agenda either. Trump, as a four time bankrupt, cannot reasonably be expected to be a deficit hawk.
Inga: the poor boy's still not over when you threw him over for Trad Guy last night
“He signed it. He can go to Hell. Fuck it.”
Lord have mercy! Tim is disillusioned. Hugs.
The PTB posters have no positive vision.
This is not a surprise, as elsewhere in PTB-land there are no positive visions either.
This is a huge difference between the US and almost any other foreign country, even the most conflicted, even the most ideologically left, in that there never were any positive ideological world-views -no progress in the progressive ideology, it is all, wall-to-wall, resentment of something or someone, even of the majority of the population in some conceptions. And there is always some new cause of resentment.
Its really jarring. I have dealt substantially with Maoist radicals and they, at least, had a society-wide program for national development, which of course involved their state owning everything and having their guys plan it all, but it was there - the message was help us overthrow this rotting capitalist system and you (well most of you, those we don't get rid of) will live better lives. And so with others of all flavors - Chavez for instance.
Wrong they were, but that was their promise.
But this is not the case in the US. The radical consensus is pretty much along the lines (and paraphrasing the implications) - kill all these people and wipe out their culture. And then... nothing. That's it.
Inga, you got it wrong, Tim has woke
As for what the ever alert Stock Market likes, that is 100% the FED either sending or not sending messages that it plans to crash the price of stocks intentionally. After all stock prices themselves are "inflated" says the Rothschild owned economy assassinator, provided that they can't assassinate Trump first.
I am sad.
I am always right, but that does not make me happy.
I am like (all engineers are like, if they are any good) the Princess Cassandra.
Cursed with the gift of prophecy, but never believed.
X will go wrong, it is inevitable. It does not satisfy, however, when it does.
What I can't understand are those whom it DOES satisfy.
There is no objective good in this of any sort.
Tim...watch out. Inga is a honey trap. Keep trusting Trump.
“Inga, you got it wrong, Tim has woke.”
The first of many, hopefully. The coffee has been brewing for quite a while now, it’s strong. Have some with a donut, you’ll thank yourself, unless you’re a dummy like Bimbo.
The radical consensus is pretty much along the lines (and paraphrasing the implications) - kill all these people and wipe out their culture. And then... nothing. That's it.
Identity politics being effectively zero sum, the only logical end point is cultural oblivion. You ostensibly elevate selected grievance tribes by suppressing others, which paradoxically devalues the aggrieved themselves.
The market doesn't crash, the 0.001% just take their cash out and drive the prices down so they can buy low again. Trump's running a pump & dump for the deep state.
Watching Schumer and McConnell smile ear to ear is... disturbing. They just gave themselves a big raise and we had no say.
Nobody on either side of the aisle should be happy., Instead the leftists show their true colors. Giddy glee at the big fuck-over.
I mean, he threatened the veto to try to get Stormy Daniels and Guccifer off the front page. Sorta worked, I guess, but those stories have legs, and a veto threat he will never, ever carry out doesn't. The stunts are getting more and more desperate.
“Tim...watch out. Inga is a honey trap. Keep trusting Trump.”
Now, now Trad Guy. The honey is sweet and warm, come on in.
Well, now that the dust has cleared from this political ass-fucking by the Omnibus monster, we can assert the following:
1. On substance, the Dems are happy because they got a lot more government spending.
2. On politics, the Dems are happy because the conservative GOP types are unhappy.
3. On substance, the GOP is happy the Military got a boost, but unhappy about the rest.
4. On politics, Paul Ryan is happy there's no government shut down.
5. On substance and politics, the Freedom Caucus is very unhappy.
On politics, it's hard to say if Trump is happy or not. If we all forget about this in 3 days, he'll probably he happy. IF he erodes his base, they stay home in Nov, and the House goes Dem, he will be very unhappy.
But, even if Trump gets impeached, he won't get removed by 2/3 of the Senate. So, he survives and maybe emerges from the ashes as "the New Trump"to win in 2020? Who knows, it is too far away.
I guess being a patriotic conservative, means you have to take it up the ass every now and then.
Thank you Sir, May I have another?
