Said French President Macron, quoted in "‘Stupid’ of Trump to blame immigration for riots, suggests Macron/French president singles out ‘those in campaign mode’ in swipe at Donald Trump and Binyamin Netanhayu’s comments on migrants and Muslims" (London Times).
What Trump said was: "France is burning. The immigration of people from an entirely different world, people with hatred in their hearts, has shattered that once great country. Close your Borders and take control, before it is too late!"
And, at a campaign rally, he said France is being “conquered, looted, and burned to the ground by migrants, jihadists, and communists.”
Meanwhile, Netanyahu attributed the rioting to an “invasion of extremist Islam.”

So the videos were just cheap fakes? Pretty good ones.
Good Lord, Mac, open your eyes... none are so blind as those who will not see.
President Macron does not have what it takes to save his country. Hopefully someone with more steel in her spine comes to power and sets things to right, before it's too late.
When leftists don’t like what someone is saying they tend to criticize the person expressing the opinion rather than offering a valid counter argument. This is a perfect example.
How dare you draw attention to our fires.
Dear Manny. All the people who speak ill of me don’t like me too. I know how you feel.
Stick a fork in her. France is done.
It's like he called the DNC and ask them what to say.
He just admitted to the French people that he's the reason they have to accept this crap.
If Le Pen can't get elected now, then I don't know about France. She's not perfect. In the US she would probably fall left-of-center but she knows that unfettered immigration without assimilation or some standards is a disaster for any country.
The equivalent of Macron sitting inside a burning cafe, sipping his tea or coffee and stating "c'est bien"
Your lying eyes, people. Your lying eyes.
Ah, Mon-sewer Macron? Those Palestinian flags I see in the news? They are what your gendarmes would call “un indice” if they had the courage to do their job. And if you can find a tiny big of courage perhaps you can fo your job, too.
Or are you planning to assert that the flags are photoshopped?
Le Pen will never be elected. It is nuts she keeps running.
When you lose over and over for decades - get the message.
France needs a right of center candidate without baggage.
The pro-Hamas, anti-Israel /Jew hate is baked in Europe's cake.
Sadly. Ignoring the neo-Nazi arson is insanity.
I still regard it as funny that the riots broke out he was in Spain discussing the debunked Anthropogenic Climate Change theory as though it was real, and now thanks to his”leadership” carbon dioxide is being released into the French atmosphere by the hundreds of metric tons.
Macron and all those who assisted in letting all the migrants into France think they will still be in charge once the Red/Green Alliance takes over. Au contraire mes amis!
“invasion of extremist Islam.”
I always love when that phrasing implies there's another kind.
"President Macron does not have what it takes to save his country."
Maybe his wife has the balls to do what's necessary.

The French version of the "this is fine" meme in real life.
Meanwhile the cheese eating surrender monkey Prime Minster lets more illegals in.... and watches the fires from his vacation spot.
I happen to agree with Mr. Trump's statements. Do conservatives really believe these bastards are rioting against an authoritarian, centralized state? They want freedom! They want to open up small businesses without all the bureaucratic red tape! What a bunch of nonsense.
They hate White people, they hate the Joos and they hate work.
i'm sure that Macron DIDN'T say this in English..
did he say it in Arabic? or did he use a foreign language?
The French are quick to take to the street to protest against the status quo and against any attempt to change it.
we are at war with the Islamic Republic of Iran, to keep Persians from getting nukes..
BUT 2 of the large nuclear forces in the world (UK and France) are now Arab controlled.. FUN! FUN! FUN*

Big Mike @ 8:55 - thread win.
Macron doesn't understand that these radicals want him dead and if given the chance -they would kill him.
Macron is being obtuse
Once again for the slow French President....Please tell us what it is then, because nothing you give them is working.
Rob Schneider 🇺🇸
@RobSchneider
France has FREE health care, paid parental leave, paid family leave, FREE child care, FREE preschool, 5 weeks paid vacation, a 35 hour work week, generous unemployment and housing benefits, and heavily subsidized higher education.
Everything the left says they want AND THEY'RE STILL PROTESTING AND BURNING SHIT DOWN.

Again - the globalist communist left have a lot more money that Elon - and they are feeding the rage and funding it.
Really? They ***annoy*** you? That's pretty weak language.
Plus the French have been annoying the world for like 400 years.
"There are none so blind, as those who will not see."
Gallia deletur.
Macron famously described himself as “Jupiterian” but I think the more apt comparison is to Saturn eating his children.
The entire purpose of the French state is to extract resources from working people and redistribute it to (a) the elderly (in the form of outrageously generous pensions) and, to a lesser extent, (b) foreigners (in the form of welfare).
While some candidates on the right propose reducing (b), not one of the leading candidates for President across the entire French political spectrum dare to seriously deal with (a), which is the far more expensive problem.
France is in serious trouble.
It's never one thing that triggers a crisis, it's usually a confluence of factors, and France is suffering a combined bout of economic, political, social and civic crises.
"It’s like déjà vu all over again", no -- this time it is different, but such crises can take several years or months to go "gradually, gradually and then suddenly".
The EU insurer of last resort, ie Germany, is now in no mood to write a pension check for France.
A former client of mine was a very sharp old lady who told me that mental health was the ability to tell yourself the truth.
Europe's ruling class can't seem to do that, and until they do, the problem can't and won't be solved.
Reports, if accurate, leave little doubt that Arab immigrants are participating in the riots. Is anybody stupid enough to believe Macron is in charge of anything but the foundering. And “Bismillah” is what, colloquial French? LOL!
IEE above blames “outrageously generous pensions” in France.
I’m certainly no expert, but if Google is at all close to accurate, it looks like the average pensioner receives, converted to dollars, slightly less than $2000/month. Yes, cost of living is lower there, but is this sum really outrageous?
I’m not persuaded.
France, and pretty much all of Western Europe, is in a "doom loop". A doom loop is a self-reinforcing downward spiral where one negative condition worsens another. There is no leader in sight to pull them out of it. We're going to watch them crash and burn in real time.
And if the Democrats regain control here, we are too. Their policies, values, and life choices literally create a doom loop.
"Bismillah" has Arabic roots.
From what I've read of history, the French conquest of Algeria didn't happen all that long ago, and the conquest was accompanied by widespread atrocities and massacres. The Algerian minority have their grievances, and they're entitled to some of them. Nonetheless, the way they are acting out those grievances will only tend to engender more prejudice and more grievances......I don't know how it will end, but France doesn't have a happy record when it comes to these things.
After all the excuses play out, the Marxists and the Islamists emerge as the “cause.” To claim otherwise is delusional. The upside is when the dust settles the Islamists will behead the Marxists. The downside is our granddaughters will be wearing burqas. Although the feminists will finally be stifled.
"In these moments you see who likes France and who does not. "
For example, Muslim immigrants appear to dislike France.
Yeah? Well…

I understand that DeGaulle's reputation has risen sharply in France. He was no particular friend of America, but, all in all, he was a pretty good guy. He went to church on Sunday, never cheated on his wife, and made mostly right decisions that were in the interest of France. The left hated him. He was a war hero who wore a uniform and went to church on Sunday. Prior to WWII, he wanted to equip two tank battalions to give the French army mobility against Hitler's forces. The left vetoed it. They thought that he would use those tank battalions to stage a Fascist coup. It was Fascistic to take up arms against Hitler.......DeGaulle was never a Fascist. He stepped away from power three times and was the one who extricated France from Algeria. He never got any credit for this from the French left. They despised him and thought Sartre was a hero. Go figure.......Anyway, I don't see anyone of DeGaulle's stature in France, but maybe they won't go full on sans culottes.

Marine Le Pen pledges to rein in public spending. Sure, she’ll just balance the budget and cap borrowing while simultaneously raising pensions, lowering the retirement age, fixing the housing crisis, and handling deportations.
Realistically, she has no choice but to try and tackle the deficit first. The second she does, her popularity will crater, paving the way for the French electorate to panic and vote in some leftist lunatic who will finish off whatever’s left of France.
France knows what it needs to do, but won't do it obviously. Funny that Greece (supervised by a few French leaders) now runs a primary surplus.
When The Troika is appointed to manage France, might Yanis Varoufakis be available to chair it?
This is what’s wrong with men.
Macron has been president for almost ten years. He has a 16% approval rating. France just had its worst riots in years. His answer is that the people complaining don’t love France.
This is how men argue. At a biological level they can’t hear criticism of anything they are in charge of without taking it as an insult to their honor.
He is not a serious person. He has been programmed to act like this. Probably college “educated.” But he doesn’t have the self awareness to figure that out yet.
At least 30% of a generation of men have been turned into Macron.
This is why most men shouldn’t be running countries. They just cannot discuss these issues honestly or seriously.
If the universe is waiting for effete, stupid European leaders to admit their mistake and complicity in the Muslim invasion and take steps to reverse it, the universe will be disappointed. Take heed Democrats.
Eva Marie: “This is what’s wrong with men.” Absolutely. Male leaders should be shrieking, wearing pink pussy hats, getting facelifts and killing their babies
Not so much fun when the shoe is on the other foot, is it? You need to grow up.
Bloc Lives Matter
Eva Marie: “Not so much fun when the shoe is on the other foot, is it? You need to grow up.” Fun? Shoe? Foot? Grow up? Seriously? From glittering generalities to illogical idioms.
Don and Bibi are both correct. Mr. Macron less so.
Le stupeed! I do not love France either but mon Dieu i would not burn it down either! Think harder Macrón!
History will remember him as more Micron than Macron.
"Netanyahu attributed the rioting to an “invasion of extremist Islam.”"
Has he proposed a 2 state solution for France?
When your guests burn down your house and you criticize your neighbor for pointing out the pyromaniacs in their midst. I’m old enough to remember when that was cringe-worthy.
“Glittering generalities and illogical idioms.”
Precisely.
I found no ill logic in that old idiom. It is almost always was phrased as Eva wrote it. But I find generalities useful because they are generally true. (Yes I stole that from 1990s shock radio personality Tom Lykis.)
"I’m certainly no expert, but if Google is at all close to accurate, it looks like the average pensioner receives, converted to dollars, slightly less than $2000/month. Yes, cost of living is lower there, but is this sum really outrageous?"
Well, France's per capita GDP is around $50k. So $23k/year/retiree could constitute a huge economic burden on non-retirees (i.e., working folks), depending on how many retirees there are compared to how many working folks.
That said, I doubt very much that these riots are primarily about economic issue.
Ack I employed is/was in the same sentence! I regret the error.
"I’m certainly no expert, but if Google is at all close to accurate, it looks like the average pensioner receives, converted to dollars, slightly less than $2000/month."
The problem is they retire much earlier even than other Europeans, and spend many more years collecting those pensions.
This link says the average years collecting pensions in France is 23.3, versus 18.8 in Germany. France spends over 14% of GDP on public pensions. By comparison, the US spends about 6%.
** History will remember him as more Micron than Macron **
Excellent! Chicken Little brings the heat.
"Has he proposed a 2 state solution for France?"
From Vichy back to Vandal Regime in less than a century.
This might be an appropriate time to read Nathan Pinkoski's excellent review of French novelist Jean Raspail’s controversial "Camp of the Saints":

A free pdf copy of the book is available online:

Like our own Federal judiciary, the French Constitutional Council gutted a recent French Immigration bill, stating that the Parliment had no right to set immigration quotas, restrict birthright citizenship, or put limits on welfare benefits for immigrants and illegals.
Macron seems to be the one who keeping the borders open, and refusing to restrict migration in anyway. This is due to his globalist Big Business stance. IOW, the french version of invade the world, invite the world. Let in the poor, sick, and old, and put them on welfare. Then, cut benefits to the native born Frenchmen, because "we cant afford it". LOL.
Of course given their puny military, the French cant do much "invading" except in Africa. Mostly their globalism is foreign aid, and Macron mouthing off.
The future of France that showed up, did not show up in sufficient numbers to keep France French. This is sad but germane to the West.
Macron is just using a version of Romney/Bush's "thats not who we are". And criticizing any attempt to rein in French immigration as "not liking our country". In USA, it would be labeled as "assaulting our Democracy". Or "trying to destroy our Constitution".
I read "camp of the saints" back in the 80s and thought it was a little too extreme and fantastical. And now its reality.
Here's another foreigner's opinion-
"German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt on Monday blamed the riots on the fringes of protests in France on "left-wing extremists" and migrants."
I'm seeing a big push today by the media, led by the AP, to convince me that the riots have nothing to do with migrants or Islam.
"Stupid and unacceptable comments"?
They aren't smart and acceptable like, you know, violent riots.
"German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt on Monday blamed the riots on the fringes of protests in France on "left-wing extremists" and migrants."
Good. Someone is waking up.
“This is why most men shouldn’t be running countries. They just cannot discuss these issues honestly or seriously.”
In truth, most PEOPLE shouldn’t be running countries. If you’re thinking women would improve things, you’re not living in reality. It’s a fantasy.
I truly fail to understand how the French can stand by and watch their culture and nation be destroyed. The French have always seemed to have great pride in their country and its culture but here, they're allowing, some even participating, in the destruction of a once important country.
