"President Trump is, Joe Manchin believes, the 'most charming person in the world.'"

"'I wish that people could see that part of him,' the former Democratic senator told The Times. 'And I wish he could show more of that compassion. He’s a tremendous host and he talks to you and he listens to you and he engages with you. He might do whatever he wants, but he still engages.'"

quick - Mob rule Soros dems - have Manchin killed.
that's how you all roll, now.

I met Trump well before his presidential aspirations and he is certainly charming and even sincere. He’s nothing like his political persona in real life. Good dude.

Pat Paulson ran for president on a platform of "charm" and "brightness" I just saw that on a YouTube clip from the Smothers Brothers.

I guess only in the fevered brains of the Murdochs was Manchin one of "Biden's most vital allies (I guess Kystern Sinema was his most vital ally)"

That's the thing about politicians. To be successful they have to have some kind of charm. Supposedly, Bill Clinton was charming enough in personal encounters to win over skeptics. Politicians without any charm have a tough time. I was going to cite Nixon, but even he was said to win people over in one-on-one encounters, so I'll have to use Hillary Clinton as an example. Maybe Katie Porter or Amy Klobuchar too.

And yet because of the tariffs, the Greenland idiocy, and just general boorishness the Democrats are on track to retake Congress in 2026.

Here is a clue - outside of the MAGA bubble people hate the retarded tariffs, want to support Ukraine, do not want to blow up NATO over Greenland, hate lawfare, and want the President to follow the Constitution.

The housing affordability crisis will not be stopped by allowing millennials and GenZ to raid their retirements to buy houses at even more cost because the stupid idea does nothing to address the supply of houses, especially starter homes.

People have said the exact same thing about Clinton.

Trump could be a combination of Mother Theresa and Bob Weir in private and it wouldn’t matter because 99.9% of the people only see the narcissistic flaming a-hole.

Trump was elected because the Democrats went off the rails.

When faced with a choice between going off the rails one way or another they will tend to go with the person who is not a flaming a-hole.

AMDG -
• off year elections usually always swing to the party not in power.
• With blue state gerrymandering - US is F*ed anyway.
• Walz and Newsum Blue state fraud - somehow that gets a pass - because Trump is icky to you.

AMDG - While the corrupt Soviet Dems ruin whole states - How luxurious it must be for your to concentrate and care so much about Trump's persona.

btw- I don't always appreciate Trump's strange methods and manner of speaking (as it only hurts him) but I also SEE a image of the leftist Democratic assassin who MURDERED Charlie Kirk and I see the same evil that tried to Kill Trump. and I think - No matter what Trump says - FUCK THE LEFT.

• off year elections usually always to to the party not in power.
• With blue state gerrymandering - / BUILT-IN VOTER FRAUD -US is F*ed anyway.

1. The danger will be in losing the Senate.

2. I have no confidence that the administration has the competence to successfully address the fraud issue. If the botched prosecutions of Comey and James, as well as the bumbling of the Epstein issue doesn’t convince you that the DOJ (outside of Harmeet Dhillon who should be AG) is run by idiots I don’t know what to tell you.

Peachy said...

I too am wondering about the competence of some of Trumps picks.

Former Senator Joe Manchin, who voted to convict Donald Trump in both of his impeachments believes that Americas' most authentarian president is "the most charming person in all the world." Trump turns into an octogenarian in June and Manchin is a year behind him. Dementia creeps up on weak-minded old people.

What an idiot munchkin is. Doesn't he know that the reflexive fanatical overreaction to everything that Trump does has been nothing but pure golden success for the Democrats. He must be demented.

I’ve never voted for the most charming person to be my president. Our president is our agent, and their charm is just a useful factor to getting s*t done that needs to be done.

I don’t see how anybody doesn’t wanna drive a fist through Hillary Clinton’s face. Katie Porter is easily the most repulsive looking political current day. I mean, how hideous can one female be? I’m sure kobachar is horrible, but she ain’t in that class hideousness.

AMDG--exactly where are Trump's tariffs having a significant negative effect on American consumers?

What do you propose as a solution to the housing affordability crisis (and you cannot suggest what Trump has proposed, which is a ban on ownership of single family homes by hedge funds)?

And regarding the first question, I will concede that the price of infant bicycle helmets has skyrocketed by 16%.

Some expert testimony, right there.

Juxtaposing the positive data about the economy against falling poll numbers for Trump supposedly based on the economy it is likely that Americans, not just Democrats, have lost their way. If so, we deserve Democrat destabilization and corruption.

You cure the affordability crisis by addressing supply issues.

Giving money to people to buy houses with no change in the supply will just drive up prices. Think of the impact all the available student loan money had on the cost of college.

The things that Trump can do are end the retarded tariffs and propose legislation to incentivize builders to build less expensive housing through tax credits.

For housing his suggestion for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to losses this up is idiotic. It was tried and the financial crisis of 2008 was the result.

So you give tax money to the builders instead of to the buyers? Sort of like Obamacare giving money to the insurers rather than the taxpayers? (I fully agree with you about the student loans--although arguably if they were dischargeable in bankruptcy the situation would be radically different).

And I'm still wondering what specific "retarded tariffs" you are talking about. The U.S economy is doing pretty damn well. Real wages are up*--which means real money to purchase homes.
*About 1% for non-supervisory and production workers for 2025--not a lot, but not losing ground.

Standard stupidity that wasn't logically thought out by someone looking for a reason to hate Trump.

Trump is addressing the 2 things that are restricting supply.

The first is unchecked immigration. The only thing we got from you nevertrump fucks was amnesty so we don't take you seriously on anything.

The second problem is Blackrock/State Street/Vanguard buying homes with free money they get from The Fed. We notice that the usual cast of shitheads is siding with The Fed and Jerome Powell against Trump.

We notice that Nevertrump is particularly upset when Americans have more money for any reason or that the government ever thinks about ways to help Americans.

That is why there are about 100 of you left and the Venn diagram with Nevertrump and NAMBLA is heavily overlapped.

Manchin is correct. However, if he was still in office, and trying to REMAIN in office, he would never say those things, because those "gone-too-far" or "too-far-gone" Democrats would primary him in that situation.

People outside of politics don’t like high prices and will hate tariffs if they think are the cause. They also don’t care at all about Ukraine, Greenland or NATO, and lawfare.

The Constitution, unfortunately most people haven’t read it.
