Writes Senator John Fetterman to President Trump, quoted in
"Fetterman calls on Trump to fire Noem: 'Americans have died'" (The Hill).
When I first read that line — "Americans have died" — I thought he meant to say the entire nation has lost its soul.
But he meant the simpler, concrete reality: Renee Good and Alex Pretti have died.
There's also this:
"Trump Holds 2-Hour Meeting With Noem Amid Backlash to Minneapolis Shooting" (NYT): "The meeting came after Ms. Noem requested to see the president.... Ms. Noem has been the face of the administration’s immigration crackdown, and she has been among the most vocal in spreading false accusations against Mr. Pretti, including labeling him a 'domestic terrorist.' The Oval Office meeting also included several of Mr. Trump’s top aides.... The meeting came the same day Mr. Trump announced he was sending Tom Homan, his border czar, to oversee the operation in Minneapolis. The move was seen as a way to elevate an official who is steeped in Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s longstanding practice of prioritizing targeted arrests, rather than the kinds of sweeping raids that the Trump administration has carried out in cities across the country."

Walz and Frey and even many Dems outside of MN - called for criminal insurrection against ICE.
Period.
Framing it as a mistake that Biden made was pretty smart and effective persuasion on Fetterman's part.
Mayorkas was commiting treason for his chinese masters noem is following the law
Walz leads a murderous insurrection against law-abiding Americans, and therefore Noem must be humiliated?
The pentium chip seems to be glitching
The media - in concert with their lying political masters - told us that the 'border was secure" - while we watched as day after day - month after month - year after year - the corrupt big money foundations aided and trucked millions of illegals to the border - where agents were scaled back and told to stand down.
More anonymous sources
Shall we forget the all of the after mid-night flights that carried illegals to every corner of the nation for 4 Biden/Myorkas years? All of which was part of the grand plan to help the democrats increase their numbers in the census, and get the illegals drivers licenses and a mail in ballot.. If that didn't do it - the dems also banned Voter ID requirements all together.
When you lose John Fetterman...
Democracy cannot survive if facts become optional. The case of Alex Pretti makes that painfully clear. What happened in Minneapolis is a stark warning sign. How the system responds now will reveal a great deal about the future of American democracy.
The two deaths are at least partly, and many would say mostly, as a result of the actions of the deceased - however misguided or misled. And they were made more likely by the active opposition of the state and municipal political class, who also share partial responsibility as a result of their posturing.
Stay the course, and if in doubt, review the results for similar activities in other locations, where well-funded professional resistance isn't being applied.
Didn't the Trump administration place ANTIFA on the terrorist organization list?
If so - how is she wrong? Most or all of these "protestors" - actual Rioters are aligned with Ellison's approved brownshirt clubs like Antifa.
Harassment is not protesting. Invasion, occupation of private property is not a Constitutional right. Attempted murder with SUV, scalpel, gun, etc is not peaceful.
Of course Biden approved of what Mayorkas was doing. Here is what Biden did while in office:
"On his first day in office, Biden stopped construction of Trump’s border wall and ended the “Remain in Mexico” policy. He dismantled virtually all Trump immigration policies, exempted most illegal immigrants from deportation, granted protected status to about 1 million illegals, boosted refugee admissions, issued green cards to immigrants who required public benefits, allowed Title 42 authority to lapse – increasing illegal immigration by nearly one million migrants each year, distributed free cell phones and housing subsidies to entice even more illegal immigration, and, in the dead of night, flew hundreds of thousands of migrants from the southern border into American cities and towns."
Mayorkas wasn't incompetent. He was carrying out the policy goals of Biden and the Democrat establishment.
So much detail left out of Fetterman's missive. How exactly is Neom "grossly incompetent" in comparison to "Mayorkas, who oversaw the 10+ million illegal border crossings"? How are the raids "sweeping" rather than "targeted"? Besides calling him a 'domestic terrorist," how has Noem been "most vocal in spreading false accusations against Mr. Pretti"?
Indeed, isn't Fetterman advancing the case for Noem's characterization with the following quote?
“The operation in Minneapolis should stand down and immediately end. It has become an ungovernable and dangerous urban theatre for civilians and law enforcement that is incompatible with the American spirit,” he added.
I do not think it is Noem fault. However, calling the protesters terrorist is a bridge too far. They are misguided useful idiots. They are live action role players who mistakenly think they are safe to harass and impede ICE. For the most part they are safe, but the situation can get complex and a chain of bad decisions can lead shooting.
And yet even if he approved, he should have signaled that he did not approve...
The Biden Administration didn't tell enough lies in this whole sorry business, is your contention? I guess I don't get it.
"Democracy cannot survive if facts become optional."
That's rich, coming from you.
Being John Fetterman.
AI: "Craig (main character in Being John Malkovich) is a master puppeteer who views his art as "becoming someone else for a little while". This skill becomes a unique "power" when he discovers he alone can eventually control John Malkovich’s body like a marionette, rather than just being a 15-minute passenger like other portal users."
John Fetterman could run circles around John McCain, and McCain was called a "maverick".
Noem is living with her Deputy, Corey Lewandowski.
Fire both bedmates.
Who would have thought a woman famous for shooting a dog would hire people who would fire first and analyze later.
Someone needs to remind ICE that in this country we are not presumed guilty until proven innocent.
Sanctuary City Denver Mayor Mike Johnston also promised that his Denverites would fight ICE - and he also promised to force the local police to stop ICE.
All of the Dems in CO have signed onto legislation that does everything possible to thwart ICE. Including letting criminal illegals with violent records who are in prison - OUT of prison. Just letting them go.
So the corrupt left demand she be fired for... "words"
All while the corrupt left leadership in power demand their broken and often psychotic rage fueled base (using dark money and Signal chats) go out and riot and place their bodies in front of ICE legal operations.
Heck - bring a gun and find out.
Was Pretti handed coffee and donuts by the MN National Guard, who were called up to "support the MN state police" by Walz? Is it the job of the MN state police to hand out snacks to protestors? Were the state police, who so far have proven completely incapable (whether by lack of skill or by command from on high) to deal with the continuing civil unrest in Minneapolis, also incapable of handing out coffee and donuts without assistance?
Mayorkas fired? That corksoaker should’ve been shot, then hung and then burned.
New York ******* Times can shove it. Nothing out of their mouth is trustworthy.
"I thought he meant to say the entire nation has lost its soul."
The American soul is not lost, it's just grated... a little bit.
Americans second? Et tu, Fetterman?
Why would Biden fire Myorkas? Myorkas was doing what he was told to do.
tommy said
"Was Pretti handed coffee and donuts by the MN National Guard, who were called up to "support the MN state police" by Walz"
right?
Walz ORDERED the National guard to hand out comfort food to his precious brownshirts.
That the local MN police are following Walz orders is a disgrace. The Police chief is as dirty as Walz.
Okay, maybe you're saying that if Trump fires Noem to signal his disapproval of her tactics it would be a like Biden firing Mayorkas, a lie, basically.
I'm a little slow.
“I find it very interesting that Tim Walz called President Trump to work with him on ICE less than 24 hours after all the 5,000+ donors to the anti-ICE domestic terror network were indexed and exposed by Data Republican.”
Anarchists + Democratic Socialists (Commies) are fast-walking to a reckoning.
The exposure of the corruption in MN is huge and it better not go unanswered.
So a Nurse cannot also be a member of antifa?
Did Fetterman call for Mayorkas to be fired during Biden’s tenure? If he didn’t, I’ll ignore his concerns.
n.n.
and Teeth.
"The U.S. Supreme Court has consistently ruled that the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments protect all "persons" within the United States."
Granting the preeminent "presumption of innocence" to illegal aliens is probably a mistake.
Myorkas was a successful and integral part of the Puppet-Soros/Dark overseas Doner/ Biden regime's master plan.
Peachy, and teeth, yes. Close mouth, don't bight. Exactly.
A cynic would say Biden approved of what was happening - Why is cynicism required to see the obvious motivation as to why Biden, Myorkas, and Democrats opened the border to flood in illegals? They did it to increase congressional and electoral college representation, and to bribe these people with corrupt benefits in exchange for their loyalty and illegal votes.
This is illustrated by how easily Trump closed the border right after he took office in 2024. That's not cynicism. That's just reality. The border couldn't be closed under Biden? We all know it's bullshit.
It might be four years away, but the 2030 census with all the blue state flight will be really bad for Democrats. They're just playing long ball. They will remain violent against deportation and extraction, even protecting the criminal element.
It's really social extortion. "We will remain violent until you grant amnesty and give us the head count and new voters we imported." The motivation is not that hard to see.
How are the raids "sweeping" rather than "targeted"?
The raids are targeted, in every instance ICE has gone into a city with a specific set of individuals they intend to take into custody. Because of the Biden/Mayorkas massive, unvetted influx, the list of targets in these cities is actually fairly high, but it is still a list of specific individuals. ICE is not simply asking people to show proof of citizenship and hauling away anyone who cannot.
Further, ICE has done the same in cities throughout the country without nearly the pushback and opposition - in 2025, ICE arrested 1773 people in Minnesota; in that same year, ICE arrested 23,443 people in Florida, 19,914 in California, 5,129 in Massachusetts, and 54,267 in Texas, states that cover the left and the right, with little to no violence, because only Minnesota - from the Governor on down - seems desperate to fight ICE.
Now what over the past month or so could be so unique to Minnesota? Also, completely unrelated, why did Kamala pick Walz to be the VP candidate, and how did Walz raise a record $36 million overnight upon being nominated
"The Biden Administration didn't tell enough lies in this whole sorry business, is your contention? I guess I don't get it."
I'm just trying to evaluate the evidence of whether he approve of the vast influx of migrants. He didn't fire Mayorkas, but what does that mean? With respect to something about which there will be lots of lying, it helps to look at actions, but actions must be interpreted.
’…she has been among the most vocal in spreading false accusations against Mr. Pretti, including labeling him a 'domestic terrorist.'
He was a member of ICE Watch, an organization coordinating the interference with law enforcement, and he brought a loaded weapon to an anti-government riot. Seems like an appropriate label to me.
>Democracy cannot survive if facts become optional.
The big problem nowadays is that the facts are basically unknowable. Professional activists and politicans lie all the time about eveything. Reporters amplify those lies in exchange for access and clicks. Social media is 75% AI bots that endlessly repeat those lies.
Walz ORDERED the National guard to hand out comfort food to his precious brownshirts.
That the local MN police are following Walz orders is a disgrace. The Police chief is as dirty as Walz.
The National Guard leadership should have refused and sent their troops back home as well. Shameful all around.
Whether or not you can describe what Pretti did as domestic terrorism is beside the point. This is a PR game and Noem is losing it.
What difference would a different DHS Secretary make? Would they somehow keep the riots from happening? Would they not enforce the law and ignore their boss? We had an election. You lost. There will be another one soon enough, and you can vote to return to the lawless policies that got us here in the first place.
Why did so few of either party demand the resignation of Mayorcas? It should have been unanimous after the first set of lies under oath about "the border is secure."
Personally, I think Noem is doing a great job protecting us from all the domestic terrorism! Way better than Mayorkas did protecting us from all the insurrectionists. How many insurrectionists were shot in the face? Only one! Noem is already presiding over two public executions.
MN is a unique situation relative to all other States, so my guess is Trump changing Bovino for Homan is a targeted strategy for that one case. The other 49 States seem to be relatively cooperative, and Noem can/should continue to manage them plus FEMA plus TSA. I think. She’s generally a very good and clear communicator, imho.
The department is being very successful in 95% of the country safely and quietly doing what people voted for. I think that's an "A".
A gigantic LE agency has 2 possibly - possibly - dodgy shootings, so you fire the boss? By that logic, every big city should get a new police chief 4 or 5 times a year. CC, JSM
Lots of the same people who think Noem is a disgrace also think Walz is a masculine hero with principles, so...
"Okay, maybe you're saying that if Trump fires Noem to signal his disapproval of her tactics it would be a like Biden firing Mayorkas, a lie, basically."
Yes, that is essentially what I'm saying. It's expressive to fire somebody, and it may be a way to appease the public.
"A gigantic LE agency has 2 possibly - possibly - dodgy shootings, so you fire the boss?"
No you fire the boss because she is a retard with zero competence and the public has lost faith in her ability to lead. It's her response to the shooting. It's the fact that she is a bubblehead that showed up to the WH yesterday with her *fuck buddy*! Who even are these clowns.
Gusty - ###### 1
The democrats spent OUR money housing Illegals, and gave illegals all sorts of free stuff Americans don't get. All while Americans struggle.
The cynicism is the left's cry for "affordability!"
What a crock of cynical shit that is.
Other than antifa-brains and loyal D-cultists - most Americans are not cool with Tax payer fraud that aids one party.
Social media is 75% AI bots that endlessly repeat those lies.
Worse, in both instances, people quickly created AI videos of the shootings showing what they wanted the videos to show, and refer to them as "enhanced" video. In the Pretti case, I have seen videos and stills of exceptional clarity showing a pistol in his hand, a cell phone in his hand, and nothing in his hand. I have seen video of the gray-jacketed guy running from the scrum only to have the pistol discharge what looks to be a flamethrower-type fireball, magically without the slide on the gun travelling rearward, which is not possible. I have seen video of the Good incident, purportedly from a drone (and again of ridiculously sharp quality) showing a similar colored and sized car, but the creator put in the wrong make of vehicle.
Give AI another few years and ascertaining truth will be completely impossible.
Cynicism is expecting bad behavior.
Fetterman is just an honest coward.
There are a lot of people who are willing to let evil barbarians have their way to avoid conflict. That is why most of the world is a shitty place.
The democrats lost an election on illegal immigration and they refuse to accept the results.
Some democrats are going to have to be killed in order for us to have a democracy.
The democrats are the party that is destroying the democratic system. Walz is pretty obviously getting his Big Guy 10% and is willing to get some people killed to change the subject.
There have been 16, Mosby.
"Lots of the same people who think Noem is a disgrace also think Walz is a masculine hero with principles, so..."
And then there are lots of us who think they are both lightweights and losers so....
Correction, there we 16 shootings that were declared 'no problem' before the investigations finished.
I suppose you are still in trauma about the sandwich assault last summer.
"...it helps to look at actions, but actions must be interpreted."
In Biden's case inaction spoke to his capacity, we now know. In Trump's case, inaction also says something, what exactly, I believe the verdict is not going to be in for a while... not until the Minneapolis smoke clears, or a deep throat spills everything.
Everything you need to know about Noem's intellect in one short (hilarious) clip:

Democrats wanted these two recent Minneapolis deaths. It's no different than 2020.
They wanted COVID death numbers to go through the roof. That's why they sent infected COVID patients into nursing homes. They wanted as much violence and destruction during the 2020 George Floyd riots. They needed the fraudulent absentee votes to oust Trump. They want you to feel anxious and threatened if you don't capitulate. Nothing has changed. Same playbook.
These are the same people who lined everyone up for the COVID clot shot and wanted it forced on children. They haven't changed, nor will they.
We're supposed to feel guilty and ashamed for two people who got themselves killed doing something really stupid. And we are supposed to condemn ICE agents who are enforcing the law, and now Secretary Noem.
There is a network coordinating and funding all of it. Just like in 2020.
"Okay, maybe you're saying that if Trump fires Noem..."
Has Trump ever fired a woman... a woman in Government, not a woman in The Apprentice.

That's some Socrates level shit right there. Thomas Aquinas couldn't have said it better. We witnessed it in 2020 and are reliving it today.
Okay, maybe you're saying that if Trump fires Noem to signal his disapproval of her tactics it would be a like Biden firing Mayorkas, a lie, basically.
To do a fair comparison we need to consider all the known murders committed by the illegals Biden let in via Mayorkas. I mean if you try to lay the two dead terrorists at Noem's feet, you have to account for the dead and injured directly traceable to Mayorkas' flood of illegals.
I wonder if Noem is just worn out with the abuse, horrifying accusations and hysteria. I wouldn’t take that kind of abuse for any salary. This isn’t really a partisan thing, either. I think people burn out on these high levels jobs frequently.
I sympathize with the ICE people. It's a tough enough job without people screaming and throwing things at you. I don't think the officers involved in the Preti shooting should be held criminally liable, but it was a screw up. The Good case much less so. Don't rev your engine and aim your car at an agent. Most especially don't do this to an agent who has previously been dragged across concrete on a previous occasion.....I think Trump should wind down the operation in Minneapolis. He's not winning the propaganda war there. Leave Minneapolis to Waltz and the Somalians. Let them explain the fine points of their child care programs instead of having this administration explain the fine points of the Preti shooting.
Seriously, my hope was that Trump would cut her PR budget so I won't see her playing dress-up on TV every day, in yet another overproduced advertisement. What's the point of that shit?
Noem shit canned and Walz and Omar in prison is the right move. Give Homan the Cunts job and get on with it
Also, give all ICE police drug tests for steroids nicotine and speed
Trump fires Noem... Alaska, to make room for an Iceland star in the Stars and Stripes.
Myorkas followed orders -and was impeached for allowing illegals to flow in. Chuck Schumer - dutiful paid soldier, canceled the impeachment.
Noem - says stuff that some people don't like.
Why are R's expected to knuckle under at the slightest mis-step - but D's are allowed full externalized obvious corruption?
"I wonder if Noem is just worn out with the abuse, horrifying accusations and hysteria."
The horrifying allegations that two citizens were shot in the face and major US cities look like Ruby Ridge every single day? It *could* be those "allegations"? People get so hysterical when masked thugs take innocent life. Could be the lip fillers and the botox rotted her brain. Who knows?
Poor Kristi Noem! Can't she just have a spa day for once?
Equal treatment is not politically congruent ("="). Throw another baby on the barbie, take a knee, it's over.

So how do you interpret those actions? It's not like they were recent, or there hasn't been time to contemplate. Letting 15 to 20 million cross the border was no accident. Neither were the massive migrant parades. Even if Biden's senility let him off the hook, it was all coordinated and funded. As is the blue state pushback to keep these people in the country.
Does anybody really believe all this bullshit was organic? Come on!! Really. Do the resident liberals here even believe the Biden border influx was an accident? What joke.
Noem terminated Cricket because he messed up the hunt and made her look bad, so if she gets essentially the same treatment for the same offense...I guess don't come crying to me about it.
Biden this and that. No. Biden was a potted plant. He did what he was told.
Mike Wolf - Good point.
Our partisan hack D media do not care AT ALL about the massive increase in traffic deaths caused by illegals and outright murder committed by Bidens' illegals.
The Dems don't care about a pretty young Ukrainian girl simply trying to ride home on public transport - murdered by someone that should have been in jail.
De-fund the police trickles down like blood - and the left and their hacks in the media.. who built it all... DO. NOT. CARE.

guess who called BS on this? That's right,

Noem should tone down the rhetoric, but the policies are Trump’s. Technically, the obstructionists are domestic terrorists, but only the leftmediaswine and Democrats get to fling the term about. The shootings do not reflect incompetence on Noem’s part. She is just an easy target.

…all parts I guess. They think it’s a political game. People died for fuck’s sake.
Renee Good and Alex Pretti have died.
… of stupidity. And out in the real world stupidity is often fatal.
I have no idea what Renee Good was thinking when she drove her car into the federal officer, but he has the same natural right of self defense and he exercised it. Good for him.
Pretti was committing a federal felony — and we now know that he planned to commit a federal felony — in front of armed federal law enforcement officers while he himself was armed. He had a legal right to be there and he had a legal right to carry a sidearm, same as he had a legal right to jump off a tall building. There’s legal and then there’s common sense. Which is highly uncommon among lefties.
There are claims that the ICE agents are poorly trained. In fact law enforcement officers, from beat cops to FBI are trained — to take no chances in a fraught situation. If you figured that you could mess around with them while armed — or try to run them down with a two ton SUV — they will do their best to see to it that they get home safely that night, even if you don’t get home at all.
Illegal criminals have killed 100s of Americans.. so where is the outrage over that? The two killed in ICE incidences were obstructing and in the case of Good... trying to kill an ICE officer.
Secretary Noem should not be fired. We don't need to volunteer a sacrificial lamb. The left already sacrificed Charlie Kirk for us.
Go through the video footage of the shooting—almost frame by frame—and it's clear what actually happened, and whose account holds up.The WH and Department of DHS claim Alex Pretti had a gun and imply he brought it to the protest intending to cause mass casualties. But if you watch the available videos closely, Pretti approaches the ICE situation holding up his phone to record. He never touches or brandishes his firearm. During the scuffle, an officer discovers the gun, pulls it away, yells "gun," and at that point Pretti is already on the ground, subdued. Officers had been pepper-spraying him and other protesters.According to the NYT, about 10 shots were fired at him. There's a lot of conflicting information out there. Interestingly, the Wall Street Journal has called for ICE to halt these operations and pull back, arguing the situation is spiraling out of control. That's where things stand factually.
My sense is that Trump is concerned about this. He's posted about sending Tom Holman to Minneapolis. A significant number of people on the MAGA right aren't happy, as seen in a number of the comments on Althouse. Gun owners and Second Amendment groups are speaking out because Pretti was legally carrying under Minneapolis's open-carry laws. As the Minneapolis police chief has confirmed—and contrary to what FBI Director Kash Patel has said—there's no law prohibiting carrying a firearm to a protest.
Trump now faces a choice: Unless he wants this to become the Stephen Miller administration rather than the Donald Trump one, he'll have to rein in these aggressive tactics. I think this incident is damaging him and the Republican Party.
The administration's position seems to be: Minnesota is a blue state, corrupt, with illegal immigrants stealing Medicare and other government funds. They're treating this as a cause célèbre to fuel the culture war, energize the base, and win the midterms. In their war room—Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, Corey Lewandowski, and others—they're planning a major media spectacle: Send in masked "jackboot" agents, confront liberals, expose fraud, and highlight blue-state theft of federal money. To them, this is a culture-war battle, even if it has now led to two deaths. That's their playbook.
Of course, it's backfiring.
From what I understand, Trump dislikes the images coming out of Minneapolis—especially DHS's handling of the shooting and the killing of Alex Pretti. He reportedly thinks Kristi Noem has mishandled her role, and her position may now be more precarious. That's likely why he's sent Tom Holman: to assess the situation, possibly change the narrative, and regain control.
This is a rare moment when parts of the Republican Party are pushing back. Loyal Trump allies like James Comer (chair of the powerful Oversight Committee) have issued strong warnings that federal agents should leave Minneapolis. Sen. Pete Ricketts from Nebraska called the situation "horrifying." Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt said Americans don't like what they're seeing. Even some MAGA influencers are comparing Pretti's killing to that of Ashli Babbitt on January 6, arguing both should still be alive and this kind of thing shouldn't happen.
With polls showing 63% of Americans disapproving of ICE's actions, Trump will likely climb down. As he hinted in his Truth Social post—he praised ICE and DHS for doing a "phenomenal job" but suggested they'll eventually leave. It's similar to his Greenland negotiations: frame it as a "win," push the exit into the future, and move on.

So now I'm sending David Gardner up there. I'm sure he'll reach out to the Governor and Mayor to hear their views. Then he'll do what he thinks best.
Who is he? I should have been more expansive on my introduction.
He is Major General David Gardner, Commanding Officer of the 101st Airborne Division of the United State Army. They will arrive in helicopters."

Whistles - you forgot the whistles. The confusion. You forgot that Pretti could have surrendered instead of fight. He chose to RESIST AND FIGHT. AND HE HAD A GUN.
Also - the footage is not clear - and the investigation will shed light. Leftists who assume they know it all - pfft.
I was hoping for the 82nd Airborne, but okay…
If illegals are all deported democrats lose 30-40 house seats because of the census apportionment. California in particular will lose 10ish seats and billions of federal dollars.

Walz and Frey are dancing on the grave of the Trump presidency. They have played Trump masterfully. How you can claim their leadership is broken is beyond me. They are experts at what they are doing. And what they are doing works.
Terrorism works.
Just look how fast Donald Trump is retreating.
Iryna Zarutska died.
Laken Riley was killed.
Rachel Morin was murdered and raped.
Jocely Nungaray was strangled.
Kaya Hamilton was strangled and raped.
Megan Bos was decapitated.
Luis Lopez was killed protecting his own mother from a rapist.
Debrina Kawam was set on fire and killed.
Lizbeth Media was stabbed to death.
Nobody in the media. Nobody in the Democrat Party. Nobody in the White House gives a fat rat's ass about these dead women and men.
Only Pretti and Good.
It's masterful how Walz and Frey and Obama are playing Trump and don't you forget it, missy.

So far- Trump's DOJ is a disappointment. Not completely - there are glimmers. but... yeah.

Thanks to whomever it was that hacked into their Signal account, we know that their “protest” activities are carefully planned, coordinated, and, above all, calculated to engender violence. I think this supports labeling the participants as domestic terrorists. If getting your way through violence or the threat of violence isn’t terrorism then what is?

ICE Watch - domestic terror network built by democrats and their creepy donors.
All of the op eds in the world don't matter. Everything changed on Sunday because of two things. First, the revelation of the Signal chats and the extent to which various people in MN government are involved, up to and including the lieutenant governor, Peggy Flanagan. That completely destroyed the notion that what we're seeing in Minneapolis (and it's really just Minneapolis) is some sort of spontaneous outpouring of conscience against a dictatorial government. Good and Pretti were both part of it and they ended up getting killed in the service of a lie.
The second - the information that Data Republican put out on X, which essentially spelled out who is paying for this psychodrama. Walz and co. are trying to put a brave face on things, but Trump has him, and lots and lots of other people, by the short hairs now.

When you lose John Fetterman
You lose lose an a** hole who, as mayor of a small town in Pennsylvania, once chased down a black jogger and stuck a loaded shotgun in the poor fellow’s face. I thought “driving while black” was bad enough, but since when does “jogging while black” rate a shotgun pointed in your face?

Very cool, narc. And the same division as Jimi Hendrix. :)

Uh-huh. Sure, Marsha. I've seen the fucking videos. They are no more "terrorists" than the January 6 protesters were "insurrectionists." These are just lies that retarded democrats and retarded republicans believe over their own retarded eyes.
"That completely destroyed the notion that what we're seeing in Minneapolis (and it's really just Minneapolis) is some sort of spontaneous outpouring of conscience against a dictatorial government. "
I suspect the reason it's only Minneapolis and not the rest of the country is that this group doesn't have the resources for it. They are concentrating their firepower.

Of course biden approved of "Open borders"! That's not "cynical" its a fact. He and everyone in the DC Uniparty establishment knew that Mayorkas was deliberately letting in millions and millions of illegals. And when the House impeached him, the Senate R's did zero. Except to pass an Amnesty Bill.
The biggest supporter of Myorkas in the Senate, was good ol' Mitt Romney. Other big supporters were Mitch the Bitch, and Miss Lindsey.
NYT/MSM position on Biden's immigration policy:
2021-2022 We don't have have open borders - that's crazy!
2023 - 2024 We do have open borders and that's good.
2025 - We never had open borders - that's crazy!
The referenced "grossly incompetent" Biden DHS Secretary was Alejandro Mayorkas, who oversaw the 10+ million illegal border crossings. Why didn't Biden fire him? A cynic would say Biden approved of what was happening. And yet even if he approved, he should have signaled that he did not approve, and firing the Secretary is a showy way to express disapproval.
Except the next one would have done the exact same as Mayorkas, which would have then pinned all responsibility on the White House (not Biden, since he was a dementia patient, and not in charge)
Julie Kelly 🇺🇸 on X: "NEW: CNN reporting that Alex Pretti broke a rib during a separate altercation with federal officers a week before he was fatally shot attempting to obstruct an immigration operation. According to sources, Pretti was already known to federal authorities for his involvement in" / X https://share.google/HiI3cQdAunDU6Fnfm
But he meant the simpler, concrete reality: Renee Good and Alex Pretti have died.
Criminal thugs who set out to trample on democracy and the rule of law by preventing ICE from following their lawful orders, were killed while violently resisting arrest.
The only "tragedy" here is that Democrat continue to be in insurrection against the US.
Which I was told by the Democrats was quite a bad thing
Biden was all for what Mayorkas was doing -- at least up until the point when reelection became a concern. Even then, the idea was to trade border control for "comprehensive immigration" legislation. The idea must have been to get Republicans so concerned that they'd compromise while keeping Democrats from caving to the other sides demands. At any rate, Biden wasn't upset or disappointed or angry about what Mayorkas was doing, so why go through the drama of firing him?
Mayorkas was actually impeached (though not convicted -- Schumer wouldn't have a trial), wasn't he? Yet that didn't really make an impression on the public's consciousness. Firing Mayorkas would have stirred up more trouble for the administration and move the (intentional) mismanagement to the front pages.
"A cynic would say Biden approved of what was happening."
I don't understand. Are you denying Biden's culpability?
I saw your replies and still don't understand.
He knew and approved. How can there be another interpretation?

Criminal thugs or useful idiots? Or both? The Minnesota circus reminds me of Washingtonians heading off to Bull Run in 1861 with picnic baskets to watch the show. Or troops in 1914 going off to war singing with crowds cheering them on. Somehow, people like Renee Good got the idea that getting in ICE's way was harmless cosplay and that the federals weren't using real bullets.

They were killed after assaulting law enforcement agents during organized riots.
They died resisting arrest not the same thing
“Outrage over ICE has spilled into typically apolitical online spaces”
By this, they mean the TikTok and Instagram pages on cooking and dancing and interior decorating that are run by female "influencers". They have been threatened into compliance by the mean girls of the Longhouse, and fear losing followers more than anything else on earth.
Apolitical spaces run by men, by and large, have stayed that way. When the "silence is consent" crowd show up clamoring for political pollution, they are instantly shown the door.
Breaking: Trump was just asked if Noem was resigning. He said, “No”.
ICE Watch is clearly a terrorist organization, attempting to use violence to subvert federal law, no different from the SLA or the Weather Underground back in the day. Its members are terrorists. There isn't really any gray area here.
@Althouse, why do you emote all over lawbreakers like Renee Good and Alex Pretti, who basically caused their own deaths by their actions? I do not recall a post by you about little Secoriea Turner, a little black girl who’d be 13 and entering high school this year, except that her mother pulled into an empty parking lot ”claimed” by BLM and the BLM members opened fire.
How about Doty Whitaker, murdered in Indianapolis six years ago for saying “all lives matter”?
What about Jocelyn Nungaray? A Hispanic girl this time, who did not live long enough to be a teenager? Or Laken Riley? Or Mollie Tibbetts? Or Sarah Root?
You can mourn whomever you like, Professor, but I care a lot more about ordinary people who ran afoul of BLM or illegal immigrants than I ever will care about people who get their jollies by breaking laws.
Sloppy work today from the driver and the cook.
"...have died" is passive case? Sure, Jan.
I don't know what planet people are living on who think firing Noem is going to change anything. People on the left will hate and lie about the next person just the same, except they will have new fresh lies rather than having to run with the old stale ones. I don't see that as an improvement. Everybody else, like the "centrists", are just falling for those lies, and will again. It's a worthless exercise that rewards lies and false media narratives.
"...have died" is passive case?’
He should have said died doing what they loved the most…
""The passive case makes their deaths appear to be mere tragic accidents of circumstances."
The honest and neutral phrasing would be: "They got themselves killed."
A cabal of Somali businessmen and Democratic politicians are whipping armed, mentally ill malcontents into a furor. If this goes unpunished, it will be the first successful coup d'état in our nation's history.
"Americans died" because they were obstructing federal officers. This is, sadly, their own fault. I know better than to refuse an order from law enforcement and attempt a runner driving my car in the direction of a LEO, or to try to stop law enforcement from detaining someone - to get in the middle of their enforcement, even to 'help someone'. Clearly these two were utter fools. And the 'partner' of Renee Good complained, "why are you using real bullets?". These people are fools.
And Biden didn't make a mistake. There was no point where he regretted picking someone who would do anything the Democrats wanted to innocent Americans. He was surprisingly loyal and ruthless in service to his boss, like an unethical lawyer defending a guilty man. Just what's needed.
I think the families of both Good and Pretti have a decent civil case against Walz and the Mayor. It could be argued that neither would be dead today, if they acted responsibly and according to their oaths.
If you can’t see the difference between burning people alive in a church and a violent armed protester getting shot while assaulting law enforcement officers during a riot you are just being a dishonest piece of garbage.
True. But Waco was even worse than that. The use of CS tear gas on infants and young children, even outdoors, is strictly out of bounds due to its lethal effect on the narrow airways of youngsters. The Waco church was pumped full of the stuff, and every young child and baby was horribly tortured before the fire broke out. Mercifully, most of them would have been killed by it before they were roasted alive.
This operation was meant to be Hillary and Janet Reno's coup de grace against the NRA and American gun culture. But they badly miscalculated, and lit a prairie fire of hatred and mistrust against the government that echoes to this day.
I was a good-government John McCain Republican before Waco. Since then, it has been my fondest wish to see the Federal government brought low, and the FBI totally abolished. You can imagine how happy I was to see Donald Trump begin that process.

The Branch Davidians were openly defying and interfering with the duties of the federallies attempting to lawful serve arrest and search warrants signed by judges. By you people's definition, they were treasonous traitors and seditious seditioners who invited death by jackboots.
In January 2026, a Minneapolis family, including six children ranging from 6 months to 11 years old, was hospitalized after ICE agents deployed tear gas near their vehicle during protests. The incident highlights the severe risks of, and health effects on, children exposed to crowd-control chemical agents.
Incident Details and Medical Emergency
The Event: On Jan. 14, 2026, a family driving home from a basketball game was caught in a confrontation between ICE agents and protesters in North Minneapolis.
Exposure: A tear gas canister was deployed near or under the family's vehicle, which subsequently filled with gas.
Immediate Health Crisis: The 6-month-old infant in the vehicle lost consciousness and stopped breathing. The mother, a trained EMT, performed CPR to revive the baby.
Hospitalization: Multiple children, including the infant and children with asthma, were treated at a hospital.
Aftermath: The 6-month-old was in serious condition but stable, and continued to suffer from congestion days later.
I heard a long segment of recorded statements of prominent democrats on places like CNN - trashing ICE and calling them every name in the book including Nazis, criminals and Gestapo...etc.

Biden, on the rare instances when he knew what was going on, followed orders. He didn’t pick his cabinet - the people running him like a puppet, did. I question whether he even picked AG Garland, who got the post as a consolation prize, for not getting a confirmation vote in the Senate, to take over the seat of the late sainted Justice Scalia (whose death remains questionable). Garland, too, was a figurehead. The real power was held by his DAG and AAGs.
’The ATF should have deescalated instead.’
Arresting Koresh isn’t deescalating, it’s solving the problem. And doing so easily and without loss of life.
Here is a breakdown of the situation regarding ICE agents in Minnesota:
Massive Rapid Hiring: ICE has more than doubled its workforce, adding over 10,000 new agents within a year by January 2026,, often using accelerated training programs.
Concerns Over Inexperience: Internal DHS and official reports indicate that this rapid expansion has led to the hiring of candidates who might have been rejected during normal, slower hiring processes.
"Untrained" Recruits: A reported AI error in the hiring system miscategorized some applicants with little to no law enforcement experience as having it, leading to shorter training periods for them. Some recruits were found to have failed to meet standard physical or academic requirements.
High-Risk Operations: Following the fatal shooting of two civilians in Minneapolis by federal agents in January 2026, critics, including lawmakers, have called the agents "untrained" and "lawless," arguing they are operating outside normal law enforcement constraints.
Anyone who watches videos of what the ICE agents are dealing with in Minnesota will be shocked by the restraint being shown.
Democrats are doing everything they can to get people shot.
It works to make stupid people who don’t want to think about the consequences of letting barbarism run wild.
People like Howard need to live in Somalia until they figure it out.
A cynic would say Biden approved of what was happening.
Nothing wrong with bent cynical, especially as regards Democrats.
One of the most intriguing comments I read last week came from a European head of state, who claimed that the main reason Trump backed down on Greenland was pressure from the CEO’s of the Magnificent 7 tech companies. According to this account, they warned him that the plan wouldn't work—it would harm everyone involved, trigger an economic catastrophe, damage the global economy, and hurt the U.S. economy in particular. This intervention was reportedly a key factor in his decision to step back. It’s a reminder not to underestimate the influence of markets and corporate leaders, as we saw play out with Greenland. In a similar vein, even CEOs who have historically been reluctant to criticize Trump might feel compelled to speak out if public backlash grows too intense—such as over events in Minneapolis. If they sense they're out of step with the American public—where polls show 63% disapproving of ICE's actions—that pressure could contribute to Trump climbing down again.
Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt put it well: Americans don't like what they're seeing right now. They won't tolerate mass deportations, especially when reports indicate that U.S. citizens have been caught up and even deported in the process. The operations seem out of control—like the monkeys have taken over the zoo and are running wild.
That's part of what the Kristi Noem situation reflects. If you listen closely to her interviews, she's framing protesters as being in cahoots with the hard left, vowing to expose and weed them out. But Trump appears to be shifting blame elsewhere to deflect criticism, putting her squarely in the crosshairs. In my view, she's now leading the "departure sweepstakes"—ahead of figures like Hegseth and others—because Trump could easily replace her with someone like Tom Holman in that role without much trouble. She was already in a vulnerable spot before this.
The bigger question now is: Who's going to push back against Trump and hold him and his team accountable? Is there anyone in Washington willing to step up?
You know what else I didn't know?
The very generous offer from Ms. Noem to illegal aliens.
Noem is not leaving as per Trump a little while ago.
"The very generous offer from Ms. Noem to illegal aliens."
Sure, but what's in it for the Democrats?
The offer to self-deport with free flight and something like $2500. Plus chance to com back legally, was made months ago. Originally $1000.00 but increased a bit about 3 months ago iirc.
Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt put it well: Americans don't like what they're seeing right now. They won't tolerate mass deportations …
That’s interesting because elsewhere I’ve read that 64% of US citizens not only favor mass deportations, but want all illegal immigrants deported. That’s almost 2/3.
Howard is emoting furiously about ICE but will not say a word about Obama's FBI murdering Lavoy Finicum by lying in wait and the FBI shooting at his car. For the crime of protesting against Obama. Or Joe Biden's FBI sending tanks and a battalion to invade Craig Robertson's home to kill him, a man who couldn't even walk.
For Howard, those were all fantastic uses of force by the government. But ICE defending themselves against violent organized leftwing terrorists is bad.
Also: The Signal chats reveal that the left in Minnesota is engaged in organized sedition if not treason, which consists of levying war against the United States. IceWatch and the rest are, in fact, levying war against the US.
I think Trump would be totally justified in carpet bombing every single one of these protests. Just like Lincoln was justified in killing the last set of Democrats engaged in open war against the United States in an attempt to protect their slaves.
Heh, Democrats think they might impeach Noem. Yes. Open that flood gate, so Republicans will get on with impeaching the judges protecting these criminals.
You know why ICE is successful with recruiting?
Police in Blue-zones who have been treated like SHIT by the corrupt democrats - walked away from that shit show on their own.
Police want to be supported. leftists want to defund them.
Simple solution here. ICE should just start spraying the scent of soap and handing out job applications. The leftist terrorists will run screaming.
Kak says; “Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt put it well: Americans don't like what they're seeing right now. They won't tolerate mass deportations, especially when reports indicate that U.S. citizens have been caught up and even deported in the process. Mostly correct but there are a faction of people who do want mass deportations. They, like Trump said, want all of them out. Some have told me they wanted them out to the point they never have to press 1 for English again. And if that means classifying all of them as criminals, so be it. If it means conceding democracy, fine. If it means a few citizens get caught up in it, that’s the price we pay. And I think there’s a deal of people who actually applaud the sadistic way it’s being done.
ICE support had plummeted prior to the Pretti shooting. Most Americans snowed in over weekend watching the videos and listening to the lies further eroded that support.
But there will always remain those who never want to press 1 again. Many have seemed to have found a home at Althouse.
Firing Neom would have been politically advantageous for Trump because it would have given him a reset. Looks like he plans to keep her. November is looking more and more like a bloodbath.
"DO NOT make the mistake President Biden made for not firing a grossly incompetent DHS Secretary."
Where was Fetterman's vote to remove Mayorkas during the impeachment proceedings? I see the votes regarding his impeachment went down on a party-line basis in the Senate.
’I think Trump would be totally justified in carpet bombing every single one of these protests.’
That’s a little extreme. He should use drone strikes like Obama, who bragged that he was really good at killing people, including American citizens.
when reports indicate that U.S. citizens have been caught up and even deported in the process.
Who are these purported people? Why aren't they being profiled on CNN and The View? Why aren't they famous?
The reason is that the rumor is more valuable to the people spreading it than the facts, which can only serve to undermine it.
Until then we have to file this under the "Americans who were deported hoax".
’If it means conceding democracy, fine. If it means a few citizens get caught up in it, that’s the price we pay. And I think there’s a deal of people who actually applaud the sadistic way it’s being done.’
Ronald’s mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives...
Ronald is like those leftist posters in my local paper who scream they would prefer any illegal alien, any of them, over any Republican. I.E. they want the most vicious evil mass murdering child rapist here, over the most innocent church going grandma.
Someone needs to remind ICE that in this country we are not presumed guilty until proven innocent.
What do you mean, "we?"
As was pointed out Yesterday on this blog, immigration enforcement is a civil matter, not a criminal matter. No "presumption of innocence" applies. No presumption of "guilt" applies, either--just a reasonable basis to believe that the person subject to deportation is in fact subject to deportation--i.e., is not legally present in this country.
"You know why ICE is successful with recruiting?"
Because they hire any vape lord loser living in his mom's basement. Derp!
When ICE hire agents, they’re not hiring best and brightest. They’re not hiring *you.* They’re not hiring *you.* They’re hiring people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems to us. They’re drug users. They have criminal records. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.
In MN - the Police are not expected to SERVE AND PROTECT the public.
they are expected to serve Walz and Frey.
Noem is not leaving as per Trump a little while ago.
Forward-looking. Good. Turning on people because they lack political congruence in handmade tales and em-pathetic appeals would render his administration nonviable. A Choice equal to self-abortion.
