"One statement from the ministry urges people to be wary of strangers wearing masks or goggles, driving pickup trucks and carrying large bags or filming around military, industrial, or residential areas."

"Elsewhere, a poster published by the state-affiliated Nour News – which is close to Iran’s security apparatus – singled out for suspicion people who wear 'masks, hats, and sunglasses, even at night' and those who receive 'frequent package deliveries by courier.' The poster asks people to report 'unusual sounds from inside the house, such as screaming, the sound of metal equipment, continuous banging' and 'houses with curtains drawn even during the day.'..."

From "Iran’s Mossad paranoia grows, amid fears of Israeli spies wearing 'masks, hats and sunglasses'" (CNN).

"The fears of Israeli penetration only amplify the anxieties felt by the increasingly isolated leadership of the Islamic Republic, which has been rocked in recent years by anti-regime protests sparked by the death of a young woman in the custody of the country’s so-called morality police. The same force used to crack down on those protests, the Basij (a paramilitary wing of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard) has been deployed in night patrols to increase 'surveillance' in the wake of the Israeli infiltration, according to Iran’s state-controlled media. In a video statement Monday, Iran’s chief of police Ahmad-Reza Radan urged 'traitors' to come forward, suggesting those who realized they had been 'deceived by the enemy' might receive more lenient treatment and be 'honored' by Iran – while those who were caught would be 'taught a lesson that the Zionist enemy is being given now.'"

I wondered why the Israelis were able to plant spies so easily in Iran and the reason is Iran is a multi-ethnic country. Only 50 percent is persian. You have a whole bunch of Kurds and Azerbajianis and some other tiny ethnic groups.

Its more like the old Russian Empire than a more homogeneous country like Eygpt. And that was the downfall of the Russian Empire in 1917-1918. You had people speaking Russian who had no alligence to the Russian nation. Lenin - part Kazan and Jewish. Trotsky - Ukrainian Jewish. Kamanev and Zinoniv - Polish and Russian jews. Stalin - Georgian. Most of the early Cheka were Latvians.

Colin Sullivan: [laughs] Why am I not fucking surprised? Look, I gotta tell you...

Frank Costello: You're getting re-assigned. I know.

Colin Sullivan: How the fuck do you know that?

Frank Costello: Where'd they put you?

Colin Sullivan: Hey Frank, I gotta find myself.

Frank Costello: You're telling me, sonny boy.

Colin Sullivan: I gotta find the guy you got in the department.

Frank Costello: With everybody looking up their own ass, and you looking for yourself, I'd put my money on nobody finds nothing.

Got to love that bit! Especially when you figure that they'd normally ignore screaming, etc. because they've been told by the authorities to 'mind their own business' for most of their lives.

Pro tip: The glasses have their own eyebrows, and there's a fake nose involved too.

They left out the old Jewish stereotypes of big noses, not to mention being very sharp traders, but that is probably somewhat due to Iranian stereotypes following along the same lines but also including carpet sales.

I suspect that Mossad agents are hiding in plain sight. The stunning success of their operations so far certainly points to plenty of local support.

The pager/phone thing was the stuff of fiction.

"Paranoia"

That's their favorite propaganda trope. They can literally report on an assassination attempt, such as when one of Putin's limos blew up by bomb, and call Putin "paranoid."

I am sure Qaddafi was paranoid too, right up to the moment he had a Kalashnikov rammed up his but, like that sword that Richard III's skeleton showed was rammed up his, by NATO's head-chopping allies who turned Libya into a place where women were chained to walls and delivered to the highest bidder.

I am sure that we won't do the same thing in Iran, we wont deliver the country to easily bribed head chopping war lords, like we did in Syria. Oh no! We care about Iranian women!

It's almost like countries like Iran are not that good at being the locked-down authoritarian states that we are told they are. It's almost as if most Iranians have far more freedom than we are told.

Antifa wouldn’t last long in the current Iran, even though they seem like kindred spirits.

Are you Instapunditeers so young you don't remember "Weapons of Mass Destruction [TM]" and that we were carpet bombing Iraqi cities with B-52 and dumb bombs, "to help the poor Iraqis"? Smart bombs were just showing up in that war, and it was a gradual introduction.

Iran should go full Stalin: Anyone who has not been killed by the Israelis is presumably a Mossad spy & should be shot in the neck. It’s the only way to be sure.

The Mossad does to Iran what our intelligence agencies do to Americans.

The White left Islamic Supremacist Ayatollah of Iran needs to go. Regime change - stops this.

No.

Well, there is that matter of not picking up the signs Oct 7 was going to happen. Even when 18-year-old female draftees, with technical intel to back them up, reported the pre-attack indicators.

I was a participant in the Iraq war.

What is happening in Iran now is way different than that.

Bush went in with an idiot plan and intentions to see it fail. All of the COIN crap and Nation building stuff was added on later and obviously stupid.

What is happening here is clearly an attempt to give the Iranian people every opportunity to pull the Supreme Leader out of his house themselves and take ownership of this.

It will interesting to see how much help the Persians ask for but this time if there is help provided it will almost certainly be bought with cheap Sweet Iranian Crude Oil.

Creating paranoia is a very valid war aim. The Ukes have done it in Russia, and slowed down their already precarious overextended transportation system as everything is checked for drone carrying containers or gain cars.
