Did "Saturday Night Live" do something good with the Will Smith incident?

I've reviewed the clips from last night's show — hastily, I admit — and I think the only really entertaining thing was this long rap about the unwillingness to put up with lengthy movies:

That was a great sendup of WAP.

A couple weeks ago I was scrolling on Amazon for a movie. Thought Druve My Car looked interesting but said no way with its 3 hrs runtime. Chose Pig instead at 1 hrs and 40 min.

You watch so we don’t need to. Maybe nobody should watch.

Can’t take the chance joking from big media like SNL could be interpreted as… you guessed it… racist.

Here’s an example from The Guardian: “White outrage about Will Smith’s slap is rooted in anti-Blackness. It’s inequality in plain sight”

SNL = NBC = Propaganda for The Party + boring.

Aversion to long movies might explain why I spend more time scrolling YouTube than I do watching movies.

It is pity SNL's clips from today aren't 10 seconds long.

Imagine if SNL mocked the corrupt Biden family. Hunter alone offers mountains of material.

Imagine.

Biden admin given a good leaving alone last night.

Even the Weekend Update segment that alluded to Psaki's departure was redirected away by Michael Che to... himself.

I scroll past movies that are too long, then end up binging the whole first season of a TV show.

OK, not funny and...that Pete guy is one seriously skeevy dude.

The closed environment that contains the movie and television industries can be as self referential as they want, in any way they want. They are still full of truly scummy people.

From the co-writer of King of Staten Island (137 mins)!

Somehow every skit last night, plus the hosts monolog and the musical guest were equally lousy. It was a 10 way tie for last place.

I recently watched the last Weekend Update host who seriously did not give a crap. Norm Macdonald skewered OJ Simpson so much he got fired from the show. Last host on it who was very funny.

I can understand not wanting to commit yourself to three hours, but I think the real issue is whether the movie is longer than its story. If you've actually got a three hour story, not padded out with with unnecessary filler, then that's fine with me.
