Solomon said to Lou Dobbs, on Fox Business, Trump to declassify (Russia Gate FBI Files). Boy Howdy!
When Trump gives an order, is it is up to a govt employee to actually release the info? Seems a lot of disloyalty the past week. People afraid of retribution by dems, or true believers.
In other news: closed on the new house today, moving in tomorrow & this weekend. Turned out great. At the risk of jinxing us I will say that the builder, and all the Maine people we've worked with over the past 8+ months, have been pleasant, professional, attentive, and committed to making this fantastic. Nary a mention of Trump, btw.
Started to reduce the number of folks I follow on Twitter. Althouse was apparently one of the first I followed (she was near the bottom of the list) and, regretfully, she is one of the fist to be bounced. Of course, after she indicated her displeasure with the platform, it was a pretty easy call.
I saw a suggestion that Pelosi freaking out was to prevent Trump for having the power to declassify.
Here's the thing, if there is really something so juicy in the classified documents that would nail the DNC to fabricating Russian collusion to disrupt Trump; then I think Trump would have gotten it out long ago. That said, when people ask what Trump should do on the 19th of January; I'd say write a memo saying he declassified various documents and then pack them in his bags. It won't be against the law, because he has the right to declassify as President. And once he has them outside the White House; he could use them as protection from prosecution. Again, that only works if they truly are the evidence people think they are.
Congrats stevew on the move. Been following your progress. We are about a year behind you. Current house in contract. Rent for a bit and resettle downsized is the plan. Glad it went well.
I fear Biden will be a worse president than Trump, and have bet my friends that in 2 years they will long for the good times of the trump years, but it will be a great relief to not have him front and center in the culture anymore. Assuming the media cannot keep him there of course.
Trump should: Pardon Assange Pardon Snowden Declassify everything even remotely related Declassify more Apologize for being a feckless leader Declassify yet more
Tend to agree Ken B, the constant attacks and outrage and hatred, while not my mindset, were exhausting. I do wonder, as I've said a few times, what will the media do to sell papers, generate site visits, and capture eyeballs without Trump?
“Trump should: Pardon Assange Pardon Snowden Declassify everything even remotely related Declassify more Apologize for being a feckless leader Declassify yet more”
Trump won’t do any of these things. Time for Americans to get beyond fantasies.
I'm having to move again. I hate moving. If I win the jackpot that's one thing I'll never have to do again. I hate it so much I'm down to a portable AC, a computer and my wardrove. Every time I've moved, I've left with less than when I'd arrive.
After fiercely supporting the Patriot Act, Liz Cheney was the last republican I thought would ever be invited to Nancy Pelosi's kitchen for Jeni's Ice Cream. ;)
"It looks like Biden's covid relief package includes mandatory nationwide $15/Hr minimum wage."
Nothing like trying to get the economy up and going again after Covid lockdowns and have the ball and chain of a big minimum wage increase to drag it down. I guess he doesn't have any economists on his team.
Blogger Ken B said... Trump should: Pardon Assange Pardon Snowden Declassify everything even remotely related Declassify more Apologize for being a feckless leader Declassify yet more
Agree with some. Trump is/was not a feckless leader. For a guy who attacked me recently, you have a few good ideas. Declassify will not happen as Trump has no control of the bureaucracy. Especially now.
I got off the phone a while ago after speaking with a upstanding local businessman. I was surprised that he and his partner went to Baltimore and then took the train to DC for the Rally. He said it was massive. Folks standing around singing patriotic songs like "God bless America" while they waited for Trump.
The crowd was not angry and did not march in anger towards the capitol.
It didn't get weird until they arrived at the capitol. He said they left when they heard broken glass - window shattering.
I asked him if he thought there were fake maga - he said YES... definitely at the Capitol. He said that the bullhorns, masks, and shields were really out of left field.
They left shortly after they heard the broken glass... and then at some point the police came in with tear gas?
Well, this is just great. I just noticed on Nextdoor this post from this morning from someone a couple of streets over in my neighborhood here in TN, where I am this week:
"Mountain lion. As may husband left for work this morning a mountain lion ran across the road at top speed. IT was about 6:30AM and on top of the hill... Please be careful out there and keep an eye on your pets. This may explain the many, many turkey and black futures in the neighborhood lately."
That's probably the first one seen in this area in well over 100 years, maybe longer. They have been getting closer, mainly up along the TN/KY border and a couple in SW VA. Now one is here. Maybe he is just passing through but there are so many deer in our neighborhood it probably looks to him like a buffet. This is going to get interesting.
One thing they can't stop Trump from doing is pardoning people. Unlike declassification and other last minute actions, pardoning can't be overturned or thwarted. Just remember what Bill Clinton got away with in his final days - Marc Rich, etc.
Trump should pardon every non-violent federal prisoner en masse. Name the various federal crimes, and state that everyone in prison for that crime is now free. Only the dangerous ones stay in. Use the language of the Emancipation Proclamation.
Assange and Snowden are obvious pardons.
Trump should then pardon Bill and Hillary Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama, and name some of their alleged and actual crimes. Throw in a few conspiracy theories, like the Clinton death list and the Mena Airport drug deliveries. Pardon Obama for lying about his country of origin, and forging his birth certificate. Trump can throw in an "allegedly" or even a "hypothetically."
Pardon Bush for the Iraqi war dead. Pardon Hillary for the emails and secret server, and the consequences of the Libya invasion. Pardon Obama for espionage and the Russia collusion conspiracy. Pardon Page and Strzok, but don't say for what. Explicitly rule out pardons for Clapper, Brennan, Comey, Mueller, etc., but don't say for what.
Pardon Joe Biden and his entire family for every known item of domestic and foreign corruption, and every non-crime example of poor character (plagiarism, for example). Pardon Jill Biden for impersonating a doctor. Pardon every member of Biden's cabinet for named and unnamed crimes.
Pardon every donor to the Clinton Foundation. Pardon everyone who was involved with Epstein, including Prince Andrew (and Bill again, of course). Choose a random sampling of Hollywood celebrities and pardon them for sex trafficking.
Re-pardon everyone already pardoned by Clinton, Bush Jr., and Obama, just to remind everyone of who they pardoned.
Pardon JFK and RFK posthoumusly for various crimes, like spying on MLK and murdering Marilyn. Pardon the CIA for murdering JFK, and for distributing drugs in the inner cities. Accuracy is not the point.
Pardon whoever ran "Q" without naming them. Pardon Andrew Cuomo for murdering seniors. Pardon every politician who received money from the Chinese, and throw in pardons for LeBron and the NBA. Pardon every American who wears clothes or shoes made in a Chinese sweatshop.
Pardon every Senator and Representative in Congress who used the secret slush fund for sexual harrassment accusations, and itemize each politician and accusation by name.
Etc. You get my point. Have some fun, and push the pillars down.
I just watched an interview with Helen Andrews on CSPAN's Q&A program, her new book is Boomers: The Men and Women Who Promised Freedom and Delivered Disaster. I'm a new fan. she can articulate a lot of what I think of the sorriest generation as I've often referred to them here in Althouse comments. She's of the millennial generation and very impressive, I recommend her interview.
This is interesting... https://politicrossing.com/okeefe-fires-first-shot-at-twitters-dorsey-with-new-release/ A fine accompaniment to the news cycle for the weeks to come. Mockingbird? Sttill on the Demerol are we?
Atomic Blonde (2017) had the best woman fighting a man scene, over the top and drawn out for slightly humorous effect ("we may be exaggerating what women can do in this scene," a winked meta-message).
I think a good rule, for erudite commenters, is don't insult anybody if you don't have a good insult. Something that works mostly with a connotation or implication is always better. Add a touch of modesty and it's hardly felt.
Mountain lion. As may husband left for work this morning a mountain lion ran across the road at top speed. IT was about 6:30AM and on top of the hill... Please be careful out there and keep an eye on your pets. This may explain the many, many turkey and black futures in the neighborhood lately."
My wife was weeding in the front yard last spring when she turned around and a mountain lion was five feet away, walking past her. He ignored her, which we were pleased about. She only weighs 100 pounds so maybe he was looking for a better meal.
Inga can "wipe my ass" right after she empties the bed pan.
The Associated Press @AP · 1h Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador is vowing to lead an international effort to combat what he considers censorship by social media companies that have blocked or suspended the accounts of President Donald Trump.
An Arkansas man caught on video beating a police officer with an American flag at the Capitol riot was charged on Thursday with obstructing a law enforcement officer, as federal authorities escalated their efforts Thursday to target some of the more brazen violent conduct from last week’s attack.
Mark said... Who killed the unarmed Ashli Babbitt?
1/14/21, 6:05 PM
The shooting may have been murder. The officer whose name was withheld contrary to DC law appears to have been a black, Brazilian immigrant named David Bailey who reportedly threatened to kill Trump supporters for months on Facebook. Apparently he got his wish if that truly was his boasted desire. Odd that we aren’t hearing about this 24/7 by the media. But then the victim was only a former member of the US Military and not a cherished criminal like George Floyd who appears to have died of a drug overdose.
Found in comments over a Turleys blog (from a source close to the investigation)
If the DC police followed their own laws, the rest of us wouldn't be forced to run of unsubstantiated facts.
As I predicted, the silence is caused by all the facts failing to support the narrative.
Catherine Heritage is reporting the FBI confirms a few of those inside the capitol, were using small group tactics. things learned in the military and police. All points to advance planning. Not an incited crowed of crazed Trump supporters (with over a million supporters attending his rallies, strange that crazed ones showed up the 6th)
“I saw a suggestion that Pelosi freaking out was to prevent Trump for having the power to declassify”
No doubt but, really, too late. Look, despite the baying of partisans, no US President will ever be prosecuted for anything. Not Trump, not Obama, not Bush, not pedo Clinton, not Nixon. Indeed, Ford’s pardon of Nixon wasn’t to protect him from prosecution, it was to cut off the expectation that he even could be prosecuted.
It’s the most exclusive club in the world and once you join it you become privy to secrets that make you invulnerable to criminal prosecution.
Obama and Trump have more in common with each other than they do with anyone else in America. Biden I’m not so sure about. Given his senility, I imagine it’s already been agreed that sensitive information will bypass him and be held by his handlers.
BidenFamilyTaxPayerFundedCrackPipe: "Russia Russia Inga has no life and hangs out with people who think she's an asshole."
I particularly enjoy Inga trading off her daughters military career and passing herself off as a geo-political military strategist extraordinaire.
Who can forget Inga spending days and days lecturing others on the critical, earth-shatteringly important, cannot do without, cyber-connectivity exercise with South Korea that Trump simply delayed a few weeks?
It was almost as much fun as Inga lecturing on the status of ISIS and the Kurds.
Hey- how's CNNs lawsuit against Project Veritas coming along? The one where they were suing because we all got to listen to them whining about giving Trump a 'platform'. I can't seem to find progress on it for some reason.
You should see if Dave Ruben’s new locals.com platform would be able to migrate your blogger content. Tulsi just announced that is where she is going to start a content site.
Mark and Iowan2-"Who killed Ashli Babbitt?" is a question that ought to be asked publicly as often as possible until there is a clear answer.
Less important than the answer is the question.
Why doesn't the media care? Or more to the point, why do they care so much that they refuse to even look at it? A cold-blooded execution of a 14-year vet captured on video during an event that they won't stop talking about 24 hours a day.
AND, after whining for weeks about a non existent military toilet paper shortage, she never gave Trump credit for saving her daughter's ass.
Because she is an unperson like cpl ogilvy, she thinks the wrong things, if she believed in systemic racism the 1619 project anthropogenic climate change they would make her a martyr.
Imagine God loves you - that is easy, from a philosophical point of view ---- every idiot rock and roll musician who has ever stood on a stage has found it easy to think "hey I am wonderful", you can do that and better.
The first chance you have to look out a window, to sit quietly with someone at your side on the couch, or even just to wash the dishes while nobody bothers you, think of this.
HOW HAPPY WOULD YOU BE IF IN THE NEXT FIVE MINUTES YOU COULD REMEMBER WITH CLARITY TEN OR TWENTY NICE MEMORIES OF TIMES WHEN PEOPLE YOU CARED ABOUT WERE NICE TO YOU AND WERE HAPPY TO BE WITH YOU????
Ingot, About 600 rallies without hardly any incidents and a miniscule percent of the last rally caused issues...when they were there for rally. Around 5,000 affiants and multiple state and Constitution violations in the election largely unaddressed. Do you remember 2017 DC "unrest"? Kavanaugh Capitol occupation? All the violent unrest the media made excuses for? Give it up. You are part of a corrupt, CCP compromised party hell bent on dragging the country down...headed by Joementia. Nice!
and yes I know there are people - some of them because before they were born they were brave enough to agree to be born in this world afflicted with Aspergers, or afflicted with horrible families and bottom ten percent parents, who might think to themselves ---HEY WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS GUY TALKING ABOUT WHO GETS TWENTY NICE MEMORIES OF TIMES WHEN PEOPLE CARED ABOUT ME AND WERE NICE TO ME AND WERE HAPPY TO BE WITH ME????,,,,
trust me, I could put dozens of angels on speed dial for you. If you asked nicely.
REMEMBER THAT FIRST TIME YOU SAID TO YOURSELF I HAVE ONE LIFE TO LIVE AND I AM NOT GOING TO FUCK IT UP?????
don't ever complain when someone gives you the kind of good news I just gave you. YOU HAVE NO HATRED IN YOUR HEART THAT SHOULD BE THERE
all that should be there is (a) the motivation to work hard and to do what you have to do in the hard times, or the working hours and (b) the KNOWLEDGE THAT GOD LOVES YOU and wants you to be able to remember, as easy as anything, THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE HAD WONDERFUL MOMENTS WHERE PEOPLE YOU LOVE CARED ABOUT YOU AND WERE ECSTATICALLY HAPPY to know that such moments live forever.
I was gonna post this on Parler but I got samizdated
Last year I had to lend 50k to a friend whose small business was destroyed by Amazon, so that he would not go bankrupt and get thrown out of his house (along with his wife and children).
This year (well, the last 2 months of last year and the first month of this year) I write 35K words on Parler and Amazon destroys it and my words vanish from the public. I mean I saved them on my own little server farm, but still .....
I am thinking I might go into antitrust law as something more than a hobby.
Czar Nicholas II was truly a pious man. I believe there's a move underfoot to canonize him. Of course, the path to piety is downhill and scented with lilacs when you're an anointed king. I'm sure I'd have a different relationship with God if I were surrounded by people who believed that I was God's representative on earth and that they had a religious duty to honor and obey me. Still, he said his prayers daily and earnestly and truly believed that he was following God's commandments. There's a rumor that he said "forgive them for they know not what"....bang, finis.....I don't believe this, but there was one Romanov who definitely said this before execution....I'm reading the Massie book, "Nicholas and Alexandra". It's far better written than the Radzinsky book, "The Last Tsar", which covers some of the same time period, but Radzinksy gives more of a background of the people who actually engineered and executed the killings.....The thought occurred to me that Yurovsky, the man who first pulled the trigger on Czar Nicholas, was more of a religious man than the Czar. I'm defining religious broadly as someone who believes in a higher power and has faith in the beneficence of that power. He was a professional revolutionary who made many sacrifices for the revolution. After the execution, he had to make his way back from Siberia with pounds of precious jewels. He travelled alone, dressed as a poor discharged soldier. I don't think he palmed any of the jewels. He did his duty and then some. Later on. he was awarded with several high government posts. He died fairly young of a painful ulcerative disease. He was like Kierkegaard's Knight of Faith who doesn't think twice about sacrificing his cherished son on the altar of God. Literally. Yurovsky's daughter was arrested and sent to the Gulag. His faith in the revolution never wavered. Yurovsky wrote a memo for the NKVD files that detailed how he killed the Czar. He wanted the judgment of history to give him credit for this deed....The judgment of history. That's a term you hear a lot of lately. I guess nobody really believes in Judgement Day anymore. We have to settle for the judgment of history. The people who believe most fervently in the judgment of history are the ones most likely to be wrong.
Megyn Kelly @megynkelly · 3h .@JaniceDean *is* an expert on how Cuomo’s orders killed 6k+ ppl, including her in-laws. She had to become one. B/c the media didn’t give a damn. And when she spoke up, the media mocked her for going beyond weather-just like Cuomo did here. And all of those ppl can F right off Quote Tweet Guy Benson @guypbenson · 6h Cuomo spokesman on criticisms from @JaniceDean (who lost both of her in-laws to COVID in NY nursing homes): “She’s not a credible source on anything except maybe the weather.” Wow, what an asshole.
I keep looking up top to confirm that this is a Cafe and not another What Do I Think About Trump post. I guess my comment is both.
I got notified today that I'm scheduled for my Covid vaccination on Wednesday morning of next week. As it happens, that's Innauguration Day, and because I'm scheduled in the morning I should get the shot during the Trump Administration. That's appropriate, because if it hadn't been for Trump's Operation Warp Speed we'd still be months away from a vaccine. Thanks DJT.
The man who killed the Tsar knew that the Tsar's daughters were also murdered by vicious ugly people, and he never knew a moment of peace in the rest of his life.
Perhaps, like many bad people, he repented at the end.
He was not religious, he was evil. Not just "stupid evil evil", like the people who burn businesses because they have racist hatred in their heart, but "evil evil evil" like people who hate God because they do not know better, because they have long had habits of hatred in their heart, because they have been hurt by evildoers and have failed to see any good in kind people, and because they want to inflict evil that is greater than the evil that was inflicted on them.
My friends, we need to understand these people and to know how much prayer and fasting it takes to keep them from continuing to harm others.

Well there was the example of the guerilla executioner of missionaries in 70s rhodesia in the griffith family memoir he slaughtered many of their brethren for either mugabes or another rebel band, ultimately he accepted christ and expressed remorse for what he did. Something the government like carter and callaghan and even thatcher never did for as they ignored the revolutionary regime.
Yurovsky later worked for the rabkin an agency i first heard in tim powers declare , one of the revolutionary departments powers had an interesting source of the evil that swept the world after 1917. It concerned what the cheka was built on top and what was in it
Has anyone ever looked at the Left Brain/Right Brain factor regarding political inclinations?
While there is some lateralization of brain function, it is not very well understood. But the notion that there are "left-brained" and "right-brained" types of people is not an accurate understanding of how the brain functions. After "we only use 10% of our brains," it's probably the most widespread myth about neuropsychology.
The bloodletting only began with the czars fanily but it would encompass perhaps 30-40 million lives just in the soviet union, and in china it topped itself.
So we have one antifa guy - and there were no others? he had no friends? Who was he talking to? Why would he brag about wearing a maga hat for the first time in that joking way?
Note how the media are all too willing to buy the "I'm just a journalist, man" lie.
Yurovsky never repented. He was quite proud of what he did. He wrote that memo years after the fact because he was afraid someone else would take credit for the killing. He also donated the pistol he used.....He was a more moral person than the other executioners. Some of them tried to loot the corpses, but he stopped them. It's all very well to kill a sick child and some young women, but looting their bodies is a crime. That property belongs to the revolution. I'm sure he gave an honest account of all the confiscated jewels to the appropriate committee when he got back to Moscow. He was a true believer. So was the Czar. Different faiths, though.
As someone who knows the human heart much much better than I would ever like to , I can say this ---- Yurovsky lived in the hell of murdererers every moment of his life after he committed the act of murder.
I keep hearing “they can do that, they’re a private company, the first amendment doesn’t apply.” Okay then. They can cease being a private company. Nationalize them. Then the first amendment will apply.
I am not a big fan of the Czar, but I am not a big fan of anybody. Pius X was a great saint but he sinned greatly when he scorned the Jews and others. MacArthur was a WWI hero but later had sex with an underage teenager. Hemingway betrayed almost all his friends. Solzhenitsyn (who was not a WWI soldier, I am moving forward in time)was an evil follower of Stalin until he (Solzhenitsyn) was introduced to Stalin's prison camps. Before that , he lacked empathy for the victims of Communism.
I could go on and on. Almost none of us, me writing this, or you reading this, have not done things we should be ashamed of.
The murderer of the Czar was nothing more than a murderer, though, and that is an awful thing to be. He did not have religion, he did not have ideals, he was just a sick evil man who liked to kill.
Feel free to disagree, but you would be wrong to do so.
I would regard Judgement Day more as a pleasant surprise than a rude shock. Judgement Day, the judgment of history. Who knows how these things will turn out. Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Woodrow Wilson. They would be in for a rude shock if they saw how the judgment of history turned out. They might, however, fare better on Judgement Day.....Lenin tore down the statues of the Czars, now his statues have come down. Nobody, as of yet, has taken the trouble to defile his corpse the way they did that of Rasputin, however.
Really stephen cooper you ahould know better about pope pius how he was plotting with the german officer corps against hitler but the feckless politicians like chamberlain betrayed the hopes
Funny how they followed the same path aith mao (i forget who was his spy chief) with fidel it was left to che to do the handiwork with ho chi minh the name escapes me the other ortega bros in nicaragua saloth sar had soms accomplice.
narciso that was NOT Pius XII (the Pope from the 40s on) I was talking about I was talking about Pius X (the Pope from around 1915 or so) who went out of his way to be rude to the Jews ---- Pius XII was a much better man than that, even if the earlier Pius is considered a saint!!! (as for me, I still pray for every post-Roman-Empire "saint" who was not a martyr, just to be kind and on the safe side - I have not seen Purgatory but I have seen Heaven, so it is my job to pray ) The mother of God, my patron saint, was a Jew, and that little Italian cleric Pius X, in the vanity of his heart, insulted her descendants ..... SAD!!!!! Pius XII, as far as I know, was a much better guy, and did not insult Jews. People lie about him, but that is just how people are.
Biden...crack pipe, Jack Posobiec 🇺🇸 @JackPosobiec · 3h SCOOP: President Trump has been briefed that federal investigators do not believe John Sullivan acted alone
In twenty years did he put down the sten pistol or the dagger. Yurovsky is not unique of course not in the eastern bloc not in the supposed opposite. Take adolph eichmann the failed salesman who was diligent in how he cataloged the deaths he meted out as if they were an appointment calendar.
Of course he fooled hannah arendt but thats wasnt a hard trick to pull. His deputy alois brunner imparted his tLents to the syrians and later egyptian security services they thought he has died in his70s but it looks like it was later.
Alois brunner found his way to egypt because he was working in part for german secret service. Interestingly his opposite number skorzeny was working in part for israel.
Or take herod on a small scale he sened ti be almost at that level the wayvhe carried out that vendetta against who he thought would become the messiah.
Ponder Rasputin. He really did believe in God and his ministrations to the Czar's family helped to reinforce their faith. When they died they were wearing his icon around their necks. Czaress Alexandra considered him a holy martyr....Rasputin sinned mightily but he always repented publicly for his sins.. It was part of his act. He did, however, sin less than he bragged about. According to Radzinsky, the secret police kept close tabs on him. He slept with women of the demimonde and not with the high born aristocrats whom he sometimes socialized and who he let on were his lovers....His ministrations to the young Alexei brought comfort in the family circle but his debauched behavior elsewhere brought the family into disrepute. Rasputin was a significant contributory factor in the fall of the Romanovs....I put it to you: Can someone like Rasputin lead you to salvation? God's got his work cut out for Him on Judgement Day. If I were God, I'd give Alexandra a pass but come down hard on Rasputin, but, of course, I'm not God.
He was a false prophet he led many astray was he as bad as say the yusopovs who were allegedly very incompetent in dispatching him, hard to say. Azev who operated as an okrana spy while murdering many the other officials who allowed stolypin to be murdered.
Thats was one of the twists in belys petersburg the czars ministers son was worh the social revolutionary but he was reporting to the okranas man loosely basex on azev.
There has been so much unnecessary animosity between brethren faiths that have so much in common. The jews were a vehicle to fulfill the covenant as were the romans and even herod himself.
I have friends whose child suffers from Aspergers.
The poor creature (born in 1911 but still in elementary school) struggles with empathy, but his parents love him.
TO LOVE ANOTHER CREATURE IS TO UNDERSTAND THE REASON GOD CREATED THAT CREATURE.
Rasputin was not a good man, but God knows our hearts. We should not be offended in the presence of failed human beings, we should be inspired to pray for them, and to thank God for any blessings we have in our own lives.
Rasputin, had he spent a couple hours talking to a good man, would have repented.
THE SHORTAGE OF GOOD PEOPLE IS THE PROBLEM much more than the EXISTENCE OF PEOPLE LIKE RASPUTIN. I mean, there are two ways of looking at it, but seriously -----
who do you think you would be if you had parents like the people who were Rasputin's parents???? Trust me, you would probably not be the kind loveable fun-loving person you consider yourself to be. SO TELL ME THIS, WHY DID YOU, BEFORE YOU WERE BORN, TELL GOD YOU WERE UNWILLING TO BE BORN IF YOU HAD TO BE BORN IN A WORLD WHERE RASPUTIN'S PARENTS WERE YOUR PARENTS????
Good luck in your new home. I know you'll enjoy it after all the hassles in getting it built.
We are about two months from getting our building permits. The SEPA (State Environmental Protection Act) person sent out our SEPA documents to about 25 different government types for review. All our neighbors get to comment also. It's been an ordeal of wait. The county wanted just a few changes in our build documents plus a critical areas plan and a minor flood study.

Good. Hopefully, he will continue with emigration reform that he started with Trump, to mitigate progress of immigration reform at both ends of the bridge and throughout.
You cannot sin yourself to salvation, what scripture was he reading. Pobestdenev was another orthodox figure who was am advisor to both alexander 3rd and czar nicholas a d a friend to doestoyevsky he counselled some of the more repressive actions in those last 30 years of the regime.
I read Ben Hur ages ago. I can't remember if I liked it or not. Lew Wallace was a Union General. A political appointee and not a very effective general. He was late getting to Shiloh to support U.S. Grant because he took the wrong road.
"The US Capitol riot risks supercharging a new age of political repression: A new age of political repression is coming at a time in which we need protests the most, and it will be a bipartisan affair"
Neck snaps from so much whiplash so repression which they should be dutiful endorcement of private property ans persona yet for others the most draconian ateps apply.
Holy crap... the declassification is real and it is spectacular. Patrick Byrne did a mass dump of the docs on Telegram. My wife is reading this stuff out to me and there is some serious shit to be found.
I always found oprah terribly shallow that she had such a following sort of reflects on the people donahue rubbed the wrong way as well thirty forty years of unknowledge isnt helpful
I guess the way they have made her into post modern deity is disturbing the fact that she was in reverend wrights church puts an extra twist on the matter
God's chosen atheist, Spinoza, observed that men are apt to commit the greatest crimes when they feel they are enacting God's will. The feeling of righteousness and acting not for the self alone trumps other ethical considerations. The various holy wars were fought by righteous men who underwent considerable hardship and self sacrifice in order to kill their enemies and their children. God's will has been updated in recent times to the will of the people, but the principle of right plus might leads to many unholy holy massacres.....The terror bombing of Japanese and German cities did not shorten the war.( Well, with the exception of the A-bomb. That ended the war.) But all those other bomb runs killed thousands and accomplished nothing. For the most part, those men who participated in the bomb runs, unlike Arnold's father, didn't drink a lot and beat their children. They were proud of their service......Beware the righteous. I'm sometimes criticized for being wishy-washy, but, to my mind, blessed are the wishy washy for they will know the Kingdom of God.
Thats what the strategic bombing survey concluded what was the alternative on e we insisted on unconditional surrender. Afte the war we didnt actually believe thaf wag much of the financial and political infrastructure of germany and japan remained the same.
I mentioned Thomas Sowell earlier today, and now he's sounding like me:
"Who cares about facts any more, in this age of indoctrination?"
It's been just over 10 years since Sowell published Intellectuals and Society, and he's been proving its thesis ever since. Sowell is undoubtedly a major public intellectual, and he has provided a large corpus of critiques of the left-wing position on race. But his phoned-in defenses for standard right-wing positions are so tired and tedious.
When does Sowell suppose this "age of indoctrination" began? Has there been a civilization in world history that did not rely upon indoctrination?
Thanks to Qwinn at 11:20 for posting some true revelations. Just at a cursory glance, that's hot stuff. I wonder how our media will avoid reporting on it. And so to bed. It will be an interesting day tomorrow.

I am not a fan of the "blame religion for the ills of the world" routine that a lot of atheists engage in, but I definitely think there is truth to this statement. Human beings have a tremendous capacity to convince themselves that whatever they're doing is ultimately for the good of humanity.
I think in-group/out-group categorizations are part of the human condition, and humans certainly seem to operate on a dual code of morality based on these categorizations. Killing a member of your in-group is considered a grievous transgression and often carries severe penalty. However, killing members of your out-group is not only permitted but encouraged and celebrated. In fact, someone who is particularly adept at it can earn a position of extremely high status within his group.
See, for example, how McCain's "bomb bomb bomb Iran," Obama's drone strike jokes, and Ted Cruz's "carpet bomb Syria" recommendation were all huge applause lines. For many people, atrocities fall into one of three categories: The ones committed by ourselves or countries we support are good ones. The ones committed by our official enemies are bad ones. The ones committed by neither side are insouciant ones.
J. Farmer, William -- echoes of C.S. Lewis: Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.
Fully forty years later and we're seeing it in action quite clearly. <

narciso said... Keynesianism was the standard in his youth, austrian economics jusr werent on the plate.
John Maynard Keynes invented his theory in the depression-infested "Dirty Thirties." FDR jumped all over it and turned a depression into the Great Depression. Now we routinely turn every economic downturn into printing more money to give away and those who have some wealth pay the piper through inflation-diminished savings balances and earned interest returns. Trump's dumb venture into tariffs creating an international war on imports is another example of government clobbering our economy with high prices.
The Austrian School, which relies on free markets and capitalism to raise the drawbridge was beat down by socialist's at the beginning of the 20th Century and did not get revived until Friedrich Hayek's writings in 1974.
Fox News weather lady Janice Dean lost both in-laws to Covid when governor Fredo Cuomo Sr. returned infected patients to NY nursing homes. She has been a constant critic of the governor since their demise.
Cuomo spokesperson Richard Azzopardi told the Daily Mail: “Last I checked she's not a credible source on anything except maybe the weather.”
Do not put extra space in your comments. It's fine to have an extra space between paragraphs, but nothing more than that. I will delete. Don't appropriate the visual aesthetics of this place for your own self-expression.
Also, don't do personal back and forth. Speak to substance and don't keep naming another commenter where your purpose is to attack them. Think about what the experience is for other readers. This isn't a place for your personal conversation with one other person. It needs to be readable. I am deleting some of these things.

Prager says Progressivism is the fastest growing religion in the world.
A Twilight faith (i.e. conflation of logical domains), a quasi-religious philosophy: Pro-Choice selective, opportunistic, relativistic (e.g. "ethics"), politically congruent ("=") with a liberal (i.e. divergent) ideological bent. Progress is an unqualified monotonic process: one step forward, two steps backward.
Urging rioters "we got to get this **** burned" and "you guys are ****ing savage - Let's go!" among others is not "being just there to document. ... Oh, and he was "accompanied", it appears, by people who work for certain major news media who were also caught on tape ... Because not only the Capitol but the office buildings have "portico-style" doorways which are extremely difficult or even impossible to breach, and thus simply weren't breached without serious amounts of force using tools of some sort such as a battering ram, large crowbars or explosives -- none of which were present (they're sort of hard to hide, you know.) Therefore the obvious has to be true: Someone -- or multiple people -- on the inside let them in, deliberately. ... And finally, this is the first "riot" I've ever seen where the persons doing the "rioting" stayed within velvet ropes while peacefully walking through a museum-style display hall, again, documented on video, and where police officers are seen directing traffic peacefully from one place to another.
Unwinding the leftist narrative(s) exposes leftist conspiracy to incite violence. So, who aborted Ashli Babbitt?
Around half a million assembled to support the President in audit the vote in several Democrat jurisdictions where there were irregularities, perhaps fraud, and hundreds, perhaps dozens, who may or may not be "Trump supporters" protesting near or inside the capital. And the press spinning yarns, presumably hoping to incite violence. Just peachy.

So everything he sees is in the light of Canadian public school indoctrination. There is no freedom of speech up there. That's why he comes here.
NYC and Chicago say inside dining and bars must open ASAP. NewsWeek publishes international study that tells us what we already know. Lock downs were never based on science and have never been intended to prevent transmission, and death, only delay. Remember, the area under the graph line is exactly the same.
What was YOUR over under for the elimination of lockdowns in relation to the Inauguration?
I said the day of. I guess the leftist are attempting to get ahead of the news cycle.
They accidentally caught the ^one antifa guy (not one - there mere many) and now they are going along with his "I was there to document" BS.
Antifa guy needs to kick in a window in, to... "document"... Antifa guy incites others to violence - and admits he is wearing maga as a false flag operation.... and we are to buy the media's spin that he was just there to "document'.
I’m waiting to see how the new lockdown info plays in California. They just clamped down harder as their numbers spiked. I’m sure all those beautiful and intelligent people will be telling us now how the lockdown just made things worse. They’ll blame Trump for the bad advice.

Who killed the unarmed Ashli Babbitt?
Started to reduce the number of folks I follow on Twitter. Althouse was apparently one of the first I followed (she was near the bottom of the list) and, regretfully, she is one of the fist to be bounced. Of course, after she indicated her displeasure with the platform, it was a pretty easy call.
Nice chemtrails.

Trump to declassify
Thank you WK. I wish for you as positive an experience as we have had.
I fear Biden will be a worse president than Trump, and have bet my friends that in 2 years they will long for the good times of the trump years, but it will be a great relief to not have him front and center in the culture anymore.
Assuming the media cannot keep him there of course.
Trump should:
Pardon Assange
Pardon Snowden
Declassify everything even remotely related
Declassify more
Apologize for being a feckless leader
Declassify yet more
Tend to agree Ken B, the constant attacks and outrage and hatred, while not my mindset, were exhausting. I do wonder, as I've said a few times, what will the media do to sell papers, generate site visits, and capture eyeballs without Trump?
I'm gonna work on bumper sticker slogans again...
My President sniffed your Honor Student
Trump has been saying he's going to de-classify for 2 years.
The only time anything got de-classified is the 5 minutes he let Richard Grenell in charge. Nobody covered it, so it's like it never happened.
It looks like Biden's covid relief package includes mandatory nationwide $15/Hr minimum wage.
Great speech outlining his rescue plan, President Biden. Get it done, no excuses.
“Trump should:

Trump won’t do any of these things. Time for Americans to get beyond fantasies.
I'm having to move again. I hate moving. If I win the jackpot that's one thing I'll never have to do again. I hate it so much I'm down to a portable AC, a computer and my wardrove. Every time I've moved, I've left with less than when I'd arrive.
Chemtrails over Madison.
What are we going to do about crows? Corvid relief.
You can do without an AC. A small fan directed at your head is enough. I've done it for decades.
Biden/Harris are illegitimate products of a illegitimate stolen election.
My tweet of the day...
After fiercely supporting the Patriot Act, Liz Cheney was the last republican I thought would ever be invited to Nancy Pelosi's kitchen for Jeni's Ice Cream. ;)
The next funniest tweet after mine...

Comedy is going to be great again post-Trump.
Like good ole Dad, Liz Cheney misdirected her fire.
Received a gentle reminder from Wyoming GOP.

Agree with some. Trump is/was not a feckless leader. For a guy who attacked me recently, you have a few good ideas. Declassify will not happen as Trump has no control of the bureaucracy. Especially now.

He can legally declassify. Let Biden go on record reclassifying. Once upon the left would have howled.
Trump didn’t even build the wall.

Everyone pushing for a Trump impeachment can f#ck off.

I just watched an interview with Helen Andrews on CSPAN's Q&A program, her new book is Boomers: The Men and Women Who Promised Freedom and Delivered Disaster. An Arkansas man caught on video beating a police officer with an American flag at the Capitol riot was charged on Thursday with obstructing a law enforcement officer, as federal authorities escalated their efforts Thursday to target some of the more brazen violent conduct from last week’s attack.

Less important than the answer is the question.

Wow, what an asshole.
Thanks DJT.

Corrupt vile Biden family criminals will hike taxes on their enemies. Leave the billionaires alone.

Perhaps Trump is enough of a wildcard that Comey feels the need to orchestrate an olive branch. Seems fortuitous given news of declassification.
The whole point of Chi Com covid was to aid the consolidation of power and wealth into the corrupt left's hands.
It concerned what the cheka was built on top and what was in it
@mockturtle:

CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Antifa Protester John Sullivan Brags About Posing As Trump Supporter, Breaking Window At US Capitol Building During Riots
I keep hearing “they can do that, they’re a private company, the first amendment doesn’t apply.”
Okay then. They can cease being a private company. Nationalize them. Then the first amendment will apply.

Is Ben Hur any good?
after owning a old copy for about 20 years, i FINALLY read it this year...
It's Pretty Good
Imagine the movie, as being a VERT small part of the story, and fill the rest with people becoming Christians, and you get an idea
The Chariot race is Very Exciting though, Much better than the movie
Sorry, I don't care that Biden and Harris will be president. I'm not going to learn a bunch of Russian history.

SCOOP: President Trump has been briefed that federal investigators do not believe John Sullivan acted alone
Can someone like Rasputin lead you to salvation?
Is that enough to explain?
EVERY SINGLE JEW WAS LOVED BY GOD NOBODY IS A VEHICLE FOR SOMETHING ELSE ALL OF US ARE FRIENDS OF GOD.
Trust me.
Yeah, stevew!
Good luck in your new home. I know you'll enjoy it after all the hassles in getting it built.

Q: What did one fut... er, vulture say to the other vulture?
A: Patience my ass, I’m gonna kill something.
"Let's crowd source the crap out of it!"
That is Krakenesque. I scrolled way down and found Epstein's black book, interesting....
Thats what the strategic bombing survey concluded what was the alternative on e we insisted on unconditional surrender. Afte the war we didnt actually believe thaf wag much of the financial and political infrastructure of germany and japan remained the same.
Now was it the fact that the a bomb struck the only target (except kyoto) thar had bmnot been touched
@The Crack Emcee:

@narciso:
Oh they will find a way. Sowell was a marxist in his early youth, so he had to raason his way back to sanity.
Sowell himself wouldn't even agree with that statement. You should read his Marxism: Philosophy and Economics.

You seem deeply ignorant of conditions in schools a few decades ago.

A Twilight faith (i.e. conflation of logical domains), a quasi-religious philosophy: Pro-Choice selective, opportunistic, relativistic (e.g. "ethics"), politically congruent ("=") with a liberal (i.e. divergent) ideological bent. Therefore the obvious has to be true: Someone -- or multiple people -- on the inside let them in, deliberately.

And finally, this is the first "riot" I've ever seen where the persons doing the "rioting" stayed within velvet ropes while peacefully walking through a museum-style display hall, again, documented on video, and where police officers are seen directing traffic peacefully from one place to another.
