It’s like click bait. If places like Vox decide to make fun of it, they need more than just one typo. Inadvertently they end up reading it. Multiply that over the rest of them Internet publications and you have some kind of accomplishment.... Considering the likelihood appellate courts may also ignore the substance of the pleadings contained in the complaint.

None of this can be corrected in the recount or pretend audit

Earlier this year (presumably in response to the Wuhan virus) Raffensberger illegally entered into a settlement agreement with various Georgia Democrat organizations by which he agreed to ignore the state's strong, specific statutory voting safeguards for absentee ballots. This opened the door to massive fraud, as well as violating recount safeguards. (Justice Kavanaugh's warning to federal courts not to alter with election statutes clearly applies to Raffensperger as well.)

With Raffensberger's guidance, election officials and poll workers refused to observe statutory safeguards. Among other things, numerous eyewitnesses testified that they didn't verify signatures, check security envelopes, or allow challengers to observe the count.

They also allegedly destroyed documentary evidence that the law required them to retain in connection with mail-in voting. (This matters because the legal doctrine of spoliation — deliberately destroying documents that can be used as evidence in a possible case — means that the missing documents will be presumed to have shown evidence adverse to the party that destroyed them.)

Nobody thinks this election followed election laws.

The abrogation of our agreed rules invalidates the election. Full stop.

Okay, it's petty to focus on misspellings. But focusing of the petty is in the left's DNA. E.g., Guilani's Just for Men running down his forehead, not the allegations of outrageous fraud in an election.

Still, the misspellings should not have appeared. When writing any number of things, from complaints, to briefs, to memos, to letters, to lists, and so forth, I'll go through any number of drafts. Draft something, tweak it, then leave it for a time. Come back later, say after a night's sleep, and new insights come into view. As you go along run the spell checker every now and then.

These misspelling should have been caught long ago.

Love it that people unfamiliar with the content of the filing are criticizing it!

The standard for an evidentiary hearing in court (not the legislature - that is an easier standard, and has been made in several states) has already been met in Nevada; Georgia and Michigan are next. (Pennsylvania right now is on a different, even better track).

Basically, for people who like numbers, if the fraudulent ballots can be traced to places that went 90-10 Biden (or, as has been documented in some 'batches', closer to 100-0 Biden) and if those places consist - follow my reasoning please, it is important - if those places consist of the same places that simply "have more votes than registered voters" or simply a documented high level of specific fraud and an anomalously large voter turnout (this last phrase is the only circumstantial evidence in the chain of evidence) - and if the derived fraud, by a preponderance of the evidence, would have changed the result in a state, then either (a) the certified results are decertified or (b) the results are updated, and the updated results are not certified.

The lawsuit in Georgia is a huge step towards the case going to the Supreme Court with Biden challenging the judicially imposed results, which is not what most people would have expected a week ago.

And Trump is much more likely to be inaugurated if one or more cases are brought to the Supreme Court by Biden.

Conway is in a bit of a quandary.

He must continue to bend the knee and kiss the arse of his far left funders by ramping up the attacks now that his lefty masters no longer need him.

Admittedly, Conway was a little slow out of the Show-Obedience-To-Dems gate compared to Romney, but thats just because Conway had eaten 7 pecan pies in a row, possibly pies similar to the pies that caused LLR-lefty Chuck's astonishing pecan pie meltdown at Althouse a few years back.

Look, if eating 7 pecan pies in a row is what Conway has to do to keep himself from unhinging his jaw and swallowing whole one of the neighborhood kids, well, then, I am for it!

Meanwhile, the faster moving, due to his spine removal surgery from some years back, Romney made a mad dash over to his new handler, Axelrod, to beg forgiveness for being a horrible republican from the very man who launched the campaign that painted Romney as a theocratic lunatic racist misogynist nazi animal hater who was going to put all black people back in chains and murdered a women with cancer and who caused a gay guy to kill himself by Romney allegedly giving the gay guy a haircut while in high school.

This latest Romney move, not unlike the Haj undertaken by devout muslims to Mecca, almost, almost, qualifies Romney as an Honorary LLR-lefty Chuck.

Romney has a bit more work to do to hit that very high Chuck standard.

“It reflects poorly on her ability to prove and win her case.”

My thoughts when I first read it last night, after having just finished her MI case (which does have case markings), was that, yes, it was a rush job, because of how massive it is. I have read 100 page complaints before (mostly in the IP realm), and they rarely have half as many facts asserted, along with the causes of action, prayers for relief, etc. if nothing else, it was one of the densest sets of factual and legal allegations I can remember reading. Or I should say, both cases were. Yes, it is sloppy. And maybe they are trying to prove too much. But part of what they are engaged in, is public relations. No one can say, after reading the complaints, that, sure, election fraud was asserted, but it wasn’t bad enough to swing the election. Instead, she has thrown the kitchen sink at them, and it is now in the states’ and the Dems’ responsibility to address these various issues. Which ones do they spend their time contesting? Which ones do they spend their Thanksgivings panicking over?

My theory, right now, is that Powell is understaffed, was up against a deadline (probably of last night), has been working feverish on these complaints for most of a week, and filed them as best as they could get it by last night. The important thing was to get a stake in the ground, as to the allegations and the facts to support them, and hopefully to clean things up later. What must be remembered is that the question that they address may be the most urgent one this country has faced for awhile: who runs this country? The Red Chinese through their bought and paid for stage dummy (Biden)? Or someone willing and capable of standing up to them? Will the Dems succeed at cheating and stealing themselves the Presidency (and possibly the Senate) through industrial level election fraud? Or will the Rule of Law prevail?

Sydney Powell may not be able to spell but she's fully capable of giving Kamala Harris and the Democrats the deciding vote in the Senate:

“Driven by Trump’s insistence that Georgia’s elections are indelibly rife with fraud, conspiratorial MAGA figures are calling for a boycott of the two Senate runoff races, slated for Jan. 5, that will determine which party controls the upper chamber.

“Their reason: The two GOP candidates, Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, are not only insufficiently pro-Trump, they may be complicit in Georgia’s electoral fraud.

“And while it’s hard to tell exactly how much of the online chatter reflects wider voter sentiment, some Republicans are worried the conspiracy talk could shave off just enough MAGA voters to hand a tight race to the Democrats.

“Powell, Trump’s erstwhile attorney, turned parts of the MAGA community against Loeffler when she started pushing an untrue allegation that Loeffler had somehow conspired with a voting technology company, Dominion Voting Systems, to suppress votes for Collins.”

Well, it's not just "a majority." Rasmussen found that 75% of the Republicans thought there was cheating, also, significantly, 30% of the Democrats. According to a CNBC poll 97% of Trump voters believe that the election was stolen. That's a lot of people, and I note that for all Biden's empty rhetoric about unity and "normalcy," the rhetoric from his base still wants violence. It's going to take one small spark. A couple Trump voters react to Democrat violence with violence, and then a few more people shrug their shoulders and say "What the heck, why not?" and it gets really bad really fast. Then Democrats will overreact with gun grabbing, because that's what they do instinctively, and then it goes to Hell in a matter of days.

There was widespread fraud and the statistical analysis shows it. Its sad that Kemp and his RINO secretary of state seem intent on electing Joe Biden, but can we expect anything else from the R Establishment?

What happened in GA is what happened in wisc and penn, nevada, and arz. Dead people, out of state residents, and others who shouldn't have voted were allowed to do so. R ballots weren't counted, while anything for Biden was counted no matter how invalid. And the D election officials REFUSED to allow the R's to observe the vote count.

And we haven't even talked about the failure to match the signatures as required by all the state laws. No one has explained how certain Democrat precincts voted 100% for Biden, or had more votes than registered voters, or showed insane increases in votes over those cast for Hillary or Obama.

McConnell and Ryan NEVER had a good explanation for not supporting Trump's desire in 2017 to clean up the voter rolls and try to get illegal aliens, double voters, etc. off the State registers so we could have a valid election.

The Republican Senate and party establishment also ignores Trump's warnings that Voting by mail was an invitation to fraud and invalid votes. IRC, Mittens was out there in September telling how great voting by mail was. The Republicans without Trump are the CLOWN party!

tim in vermont said...

In early October, 2020, a federal district judge in this same district (Northern District of Georgia) ruled after several years of litigation that the Dominion software used to monitor this election has substantial issues and it will affect an election. The Plaintiffs were Democrats who filed suit in response to the 2016 election. They sought an order forcing Georgia to use different software. They conducted discovery and hearings over years, including 3 days of expert testimony about how these very voting machines work. The court ultimately denied the request because it was simply too late to change the voting machines since the election at that time was roughly a month away.

Of course they had a good reason to let the lax controls continue: get rid of OrangeManBad.

After which the establishment republicans assumed their deal with the dems would entail getting things back to "normal".

Predictably, inevitably, the democraticals never had any intention of returning to "normal".

The democraticals are so very close to full one party societal and institutional control and the complete destruction of checks and balances, why would they ever return to some previous "normal". That view absolutely defies human nature.

Once the wratchet moves left, it usually doesnt move back. Trump arrested it for a bit, but it will now continue with a vengeance.

This is interesting from page 35 of the Powell Georgia filing:

I also observed that the watermark on at least 3 ballots were solid gray instead of transparent, leading me to believe the ballot was counterfeit.

H/T Gateway pundit for the pointer.

True watermarks are not printed on the paper. They are debossed into the paper at the paper mill. That is why they are translucent.

Word, and many other programs, will put what they call a "watermark" on a page saying do not copy or whatever you like. I think they can put an image like a seal but I don't think I've ever tried it. This is just a printed, 5% or so, grey imprint.

If legitimate ballots are printed on watermarked paper and phony ballots with a printed watermark are mixed in, it should be easy to pick them out.

If they are printed on laser or inkjet printers, as opposed to a commercial printing press, they can be traced. Most laser and inkjet printers print microcode on every document with a printer ID code. This is usually done with the yellow ink and can be seen with a strong loupe.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machine_Identification_Code#/media/File:Printermarkrp.jpg

This may be an interesting line of inquiry.

It is very easy to see what kind of process, inkjet, laser, digital press, flexo or other is used. Often with the naked eye. Certainly with a loupe.

If ballots were printed by differnt printers, especially with different processes, it will be easy to tell them apart.

Anyone out there have the case number for this one? I have seen the document posted that purports to be the complaint filed in the Northern District of GA - but this could well be a draft that differs from what was filed, if anything has actually been filed at all. I searched Pacer for the name of the lead plaintiff and for Brian Kemp as a defendant in cases filed in the last 5 days and I get bupkes.

Wen you see a document that has been filed in the federal courts it will have a header line which is applied by the court system, with Case number, date, document serial #, and "page X of Y" marked across the top margin of each page, usually in blue, but possibly in black if it was downloaded and distilled as a pdf before being shared. I have not seen that in any of the copies circulating.

It's one thing to circulate copies of a document purported to be something filed or about to be filed in federal court. It is entirely another thing to circulate pleadings actually filed in a case. Have not seen that yet.

Powell *had* to throw enough out there that there was no more squirming.

Around the middle of the document the word "come" (iirc) has a tilde instead of an "e" this would support the contention of some here that it was scanned and ocr'd.

I noticed a comment in the filing by one of the afiants that some ballots felt different. There's all kinds of paper and this is plausible.

Bank tellers can often pick out counterfeit bills because it feels different,no matter how carefully made.

If there are counterfeit ballots printing and paper may make them easy to prove.

The paper ballots we ran through our dominion scanners here in pr were heavier paper, perhaps 30-40# and had a very smooth surface. Perhaps even a coating.

If, as some theories hold, the dems got caught short election night, they might not have had time or resources to do good counterfeits.

Besides, the fix was in so they didn't need do good counterfeits.

In the other you submit that the sort of fraud alleged likely did not happen.

What makes the one extraordinary thing likely and the other not?
When you think of the trillions of dollars that are at stake in an election, plus al the past fraud in elections the world over, what makes you think election fraud is unlikely?

Do you think think judges act the way you're alleging all the time.

If you ponder it, I think you will have some further questions.
