This whole Schiff and the Whistle Blower dust up? It's a slight of hand. The contact with committee staff, is a data point in a longer timeline. I think the staffer, attempting to justify the reason the WB contacted him, exposed the whole scam.
The staffer explained the WB (CIA Officer) came to him asking guidance, because, He was upset about the slow response...from the CIA Inspector General to his complaint.
That means he filed a WB complaint, the CIA IG refused to give it the Urgent and Credible status that would require Congressional Notification.
This proves Schiff's involvement in stage managing this whole production.
The WB complaint should never have started in the Intelligence Community, because it had nothing to do with the IC. The WB could have, should have, taken it to DoJ, or the FBI. Why not? Schiff needed the complaint to end up in Congress. Only WB complaints that originate in the IC and reach the level of Urgent and Credible, get forwarded to Congress, by law.
After the CIA IG did the right thing and correctly categorized it, Schiff had to try again, submit the complaint the the IC IG. Then, to prime the pump, Schiff leaks the fact that a WB complaint about a President Trump conversation was being with held from Congress, in violation of the law. The tweet contained enough facts from the call, it is now plain, Schiff had the call details before the complaint was official filed with the
IC IG.
This is a calculated fraud on the American people.

It seems that the Mandate of Heaven has been bestowed on Trump once again, not that one can really say he's earned it. It's more that Nancy, Schiff & Co. have forfeited any claim to it, forcing it in his direction. Even the WaPo seems ever so reluctantly to have noticed.
That's a long way from being a "suggestion."
And there is something wrong about this whole story. Government bureaucrats have a lower opinion about "those damned politicians" than even us, the unwashed, and I do not believe that an "experienced CIA officer" would have asked a House committee for help with anything, and certainly not for filling out a form to submit to his own IG. Where did he get the form? It must have been either his own agency or the ICIG's office, and either his old buddies or the IG staff would have been happy to help him, though with what? An "experienced CIA officer" and he could not fill out a government form on his own?

I absolutely know what the left is talking about. Reasons: 1. I have one liberal friend left on Facebook who posts liberal memes. All the previous open minded liberal friends defriended me long ago. 2. I can read it in blog comments, both from the trolls here and on other blogs. 3. I go to threadreaderapp.com on a regular basis and I read their threads.
But while I know what they're talking about, I've no idea where they get their facts. I was reading again today how proved Trump obstructed justice, and how the writer got that by reading the Mueller report himself. And how Trump really did ask Ukraine to investigate Biden or else - it's right in the transcript.

And how the Volker testimony was devastating for the Whitehouse.

Clinton is maneuvering. To get in the race, she wants/needs Biden out so that she can become the "moderate Democrat" to save the party from nominating a left-wing loon. Biden can't be cut loose by the media until impeachment is a dead issue. As impeachment talk fades over the next week (I don't think Pelosi will hold a vote, now), you will start seeing stories places with the NYTimes and WaPo delving into the Biden matter with a bit more curiosity than we have seen to date.

To me, it further demonstrates what an utter disaster Obama was as a leader since he had to know his SOS was using an illicit email server for work purposes and his VP was setting up his son to cash in on deals in two countries where Joe was heading up US policy.

Not sure about that either. Except that it involved alleged law breaking. He wouldn’t have tried there though because DOJ OIG would have seen right through it. DoJ IG Horowitz is in the middle of the SpyGate cleanup, and more likely would have referred the “whistleblower” over to the DOJ for prosecution for an Espionage Act violation, as well as the CIA agents illegally leaking to him. Besides, the DOJ is maybe the last place in the government that would declare hearsay that the “whistleblower” had No Need To Know as urgent, allowing it to be relayed to Congress.
The whole thing stinks from the get go. The IC IG had no jurisdiction - 1) it involved foreign relations, and not intelligence; 2) the IC IG has no jurisdiction over the President in the WH; 3) knowledge by the “whistleblower” of the contents of the phone call disclosed evidence of crimes on the part of the leakers and probably the “whistleblower”; and 4) HSCI has no jurisdiction because it does not involve intelligence, nor does it involve Congressional oversight.
So, that is what the Dems are apparently basing their impeachment inquiry on - illegally obtained and disclosed misquoted transcripts of a classified phone call with a foreign leader that had been automatically protected by Executive Privilege, the illegal disclosure of which adversely affected our foreign relations. The only illegalities disclosed in the whole matter were by the leakers, the “whistleblower”, Schiff, his staff, and possibly the IC IG, who ignored ODNI Counsel and DOJ OLC determinations that he had no jurisdiction. Bizzaro World.
