@Lawrence Person, take it from someone who used to teach cybersecurity -- STOP THINKING THAT ONLY ONE STATE ACTOR HACKED THE DNC SERVERS. Likewise Hillary Clinton's server. These would be high value targets. As in VERY high value targets for espionage, and to this day I cannot comprehend how stupid the Democrats in general and Clintons in particular had to be not realize that. Maybe if someone hinted that the RNC was trying to hack their servers they'd have emphasized security more?
BTW, I understand that RNC was also a target, but the RNC has grownups in charge so -- to our knowledge! -- none of the attacks were successful.
As regards the DNC and Clinton servers, some hackers may have been less capable of covering their tracks than others, or perhaps they didn't bother covering their tracks as a big FU to the US government. Who knows? But it couldn't possibly have been Russia OR China. Russia AND China AND, probably, Israel, AND, probably North Korea, AND, no doubt, several countries with whom we are allied.
The only Presidential candidate speech I've every attended was a Trump rally. Hillary came to same place and I tried to get a ticket, but it was invitation only.
The Trump rally crowd was mostly white, which is a minority where I live. The venue had us walk through a mob of jeering and cursing protesters to get into the arena. I thought I would give a listen.
Trump's speech was rambling, funny, unedited and sometimes BS. He addressed topics of interest to me and I thought his instincts were right about American citizens. My wife and close friends have good instincts, so I gave him the some of the benefits of thought.
The people there loved it, laughing, joking, having a regular good time. I thought the whole thing bazaar, but I loved the people and enjoyed by first political speech.
Any political parade with a massed crowd feels strange and requires you to become focused on a bigger than life Leader. The cautious people refuse to join in. The fearless people dive right in and get excited too. That's a surrender to Leadership you trust. And many will be fooled.
But remember the reason that there are counterfeits is because Real Leaders are of such high value to us.The protection is analytic mind studying the known life history of the person.
Liberals and others don't get it. People accept and even like Trump's salesman "Puffery".
"Hey, this is the greatest golf course EVER. You'll love it. No one has EVER built anything as good. Some people say its just like Augusta - ONLY BETTER! Its great, I tell you. Sign right here..."
So, when Trump says stuff like it'll be a THE GREATEST HEALTHCARE PLAN EVER - people don't care or just laugh. All they want is the Obamacare plan to be gotten rid of and its flaws corrected.

@narciso u might like this tho a year old. also this site has parallel pieces, citing sean henry (was pres/CEO of crowdstrike)and odd coincidences w/ guccifer. What if the only contractor to deal w the server was in on the whole deal from the get-go? Crowdstrike has some striking connections to the FBI – particularly through Steven Chabinsky and Shawn Henry.
That's entirely possible like with fireeye which was present when the Equifax hack, that's the outfit that came up with apt 28 and 29, and who nixed congressman Hurd speech
Lawrence Person said... Still no hard evidence Russia hacked the DNC."
Only those who are massively and willfully stupid believe that. That and grifters selling a con. The safe bet is that the Hillary Homebrew servers and the DNC no security servers were hacked by every intelligence agency in the world that had the ability to do so as well as the criminal organizations with the requisite skills.
A critique of Trump from the (alt) right. Don’t agree with all of it but it’s a useful primer on why many who supported Trump’s America First agenda are disappointed.
I'm always astounded when I read the NYT or WaPo and read the reporters names. Gopnick seems almost normal. Does anyone named Smith or Jones write for a newspaper anymore?

Not to mention the Pakistanis who were running the DNC IT program and fled to Pakistan when their misdeeds were uncovered!
Dont take this the wrong way farmer, but you're a little too obsessed on race, as to Iran we can see it similar to another revolutionary power like France in the 19th century or Russia in the 20th
There was another messenger about a decade, who spoke in a softer register about what we have in common, but her objections were cast as unknowingness and rank ignorance was cast as wisdom.

I am not "obsessed on race." I just don't want to see my country transformed into Latin America.
As for Iran, they are not a revolutionary power. They are a status quo power primarily concerned with self-preservation. The comparisons to 19th century France or 20th century Russia are ridiculous. Both were major powers. Iran is a weak and impoverished country that can barely project military force outside of its borders. Compare the behavior of Iran to that of our good buddies the Saudis. The KSA has waged a cruel and brutal war against Yemen for the last four years in which it has given US-provided weapons to Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, has attempted to diplomatically isolate Qatar to force it to submit, and waged war against Assad by funding and supporting radical Salafi groups, which helped give rise to ISIS.
JFarmer@853 is correct. Iran can cause trouble-- a lot if they choose-- but to inflate them into some massive threat is ludicrous. We should try to keep them in their box, just like Dumbyass Bush should have done with Saddam.
As for our Saudi buds, they can't even claim a rich and beautiful culture, and would slit our throats in a moment if it benefited them.
Instead of all of the back stage footage in Rolling Thunder, why didn’t they just make a movie of Dylan’s performances, which are really amazing, really. The movie on Netflix is worth it for that stuff alone. The rest of it isn’t bad, but the live performances are amazing. The Ginsburg stuff, I never got.

The BBC does comedy, I thought it was just dreary dreck like years and years, I guess fleabag is one, but I haven't seen it.
As such we dont have any evidence that any party broke in, that's what crowdstrike wrought
I'm sure having a token scold in the ranks will raise the bar.
"That's not funny!"

Fine old English Name. No doubt came over with the Normans. Wasn't there a "Schuster" fighting with Nelson at Trafalgar?
I'm always astounded when I read the NYT or WaPo and read the reporters names. Gopnick seems almost normal. Does anyone named Smith or Jones write for a newspaper anymore?
I turned on the BBC world service yesterday and got a Yank voice. Not what I expected. Do Englishman still work at the BBC?

If you believe Liawatha is rising on her ‘merits’ and not on the fact Harvard and Yale win like Belichick, then you don’t know Presidential politics.

Our grandparents used race, nation, and people interchangeably. Sometimes also with state.
There was another messenger about a decade, who spoke in a softer register about what we have in common, but her objections were cast as unknowingness and rank ignorance was cast as wisdom.
None is acceptable in the Borg climate,
Of course the torygraph run by the grifter Barclay brothers still push deepstate hatchling Roderick stewart.
They are still better than the London times, hats how bad its gotten.

@Ignorance is Bliss, I will be LMAO the rest of the day! Thank you!
Did I miss the discussion of the decision in the Oregon bakers' case?
Yad Vashem called out AOC by name over her concentration camp remarks. So, when did Yad Vashem become anti Semitic??
