We got a slight dusting of snow here in Vegas the other day. Lasted about 5 minutes and it was gone. Just like we do with your cash. Come visit and bring the Benjamins.

Breaking News
Monster Jobs Report
ADP reports 271,000 jobs for December almost 100,000 more than Wall Street consensus. We get the government number tomorrow which could be different but this is huge news about the economy.

Nancy Pelosi promises more transparency in government: Democrats want to reopen the government and kick the border security issue down the road, claim they want to take a month to discuss the issue like adults, at the same time Pelosi announces that a border wall is immoral. Oy.

You haven’t seen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, have you?

I saw the Washington governor on TV. He thinks the Fake Crisis of climate change must be the prime objective of the federal government. Are the ChiComs funding his campaign? Idiot is right. Hope I get to see him.

It's Inslee, Ocasi-Cortez, and......Beetle Baum!! Apologies to Spike Jones.

Yes, Occasional-Cortex may be smarter than Inslee.

Here's the truth about the continuing resolutions. Leadership is content to sit on their ass while nothing happens, or if legislation does get out of committee, refuse to bring it to the floor to vote. Wait for the deadline to approach, and then about 6 legislators from the House, and the same from the Senate, get together to hammer out a deal. No open democracy, no debate, no compromise. No governance from the House of Representatives and the Senate. Governance by the power players of the establishment. This is not a problem, it is the plan. Those in power have rigged the system, to by pass democracy.

Now they want to kick the immigration can down the road 30 days. Why? McConnell and Pelosi will tell you why when they emerge from the closed door meeting. Having successfully crushed any debate at all. No messy disputes in public by the commoners that managed to get themselves elected and sent to DC. Foolishly thinking they would have a seat to be a part of setting policy

Dusting of snow in Tucson. Trump is waiting for the Supreme Court to reverse the 9th Circuit decision on DACA. Then the negotiations start, Unless Roberts does a Souter,

How is Tucson going to convince me to go there to visit my friend Beth and her family, if it keeps being damp and cold? I can get damp and cold Here! (okay, Our cold is 40 degrees colder, but still!)

Chuck Lorre wrote a vanity card for The Big Bang Theory where he hoped that Trump didn’t end the world or “nuke Toronto” between Dec 18, when he wrote the card, and today, when the episode aired. But it’s not TDS! No siree!

Interesting to think about the sexual attractiveness of political candidates.

I noticed this with Sarah Palin, that her sexual attractiveness made me want to support her more than other Republicans.

I surmise that Obama and Beto have this effect on women.

The way you can tell is that Palin, Obama, and Beto all had very thin resumes.

Thin resumes don't matter if you like the candidate.

Ugly people have more impressive resumes. Nixon had a way better resume than Kennedy. But he was sweating during his job interview. So he didn't get that job.

Saint Croix said...

Beto is a potential rock star because he is a way better speaker than Obama, who was boring as shit. Obama had a beautiful voice but a boring mind. Obama in a 90 second sound bite is very impressive. Not so much if you have to sit and listen to one of his speeches.

Saint Croix said...

What's interesting about Beto to me is that his negatives are his race and his gender. He has white skin and he is male. There are many people on the left who will talk about this and get very angry about it.

tim in vermont said...

Palin was the governor of a state. That’s not really a “thin” resume. She got there on her own, fighting the party, not being put their, like the Democrats installed Obama in that senate seat he couldn’t possibly lose. Beto and Obama? Yeah, they had thin resumes. Beto is basically a gigolo whose wife bought him a seat in Congress.

My favorite headline “O’Malley endorses O’Rourke” Says it all about “Beto” favorite of his family’s Hispanic maid. How much more authentic can you get than that?

Hagar said...

Palin not only was the governor of Alaska, but did very well in office and had a sky-high approval rating until she accepted the nomination for vice-president and it dawned on them that she was a Republican.

when trump had Shumer and Pelosi to the whitehouse a while ago; she was saying, then, that the democrats now controlled one of the the three branches of government, which made me wonder what happened to the senate?
Then i remembered Mitchell McConnell, and realized that she was Right, the democrats have controlled the senate for quite so time

Things which might make Pelosi equal to Trump:

- Mitch McConnell running the Senate
- The deep state
- LLR’s in Congress who love the Uniparty
- Fake news

Things which do not make Pelosi equal to Trump:

- The US Constitution

So I was in Europe and I read about Agnes of Walbingen.

How is she significant? Well, she married a proto-Hapsburg, but that did not catch my attention so much.

Instead, she had been married before. She had 11 children by her first husband.

So then she married Leopold III and had 17 more children.

Now this is normally, this is where a snark would be inserted of a woman finally treating her primary job seriously. But she was married at 14 and she might be a woman who LOVED having kids or a woman abused by being treated like a non consensual brood sow. I think she took some joy from her 22 children who lived.

But I shared this fact with my daughters that this Eleventh Century Woman, in an age without episiotomies or antibiotics had 28 kids, they looked on with horror! It seems some people teaching in school are laying it on pretty thick that pregnancy is akin to a coin toss at a death sentence for women.

Thus the recent beatification of the Supreme Crypt Keeper, Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Just as an aside: Agnes died at the ripe old age of 71. Not that much younger than the overripe RBG is now.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) — who was sworn in earlier Thursday — is coming out of the gate swinging at President Donald Trump.

According to accounts from multiple reporters, the new Congresswoman made a sharply-worded pledge to a crowd at a reception held by the progressive group MoveOn near Capitol Hill on Thursday night.

Axios’s Alexi McCammond reports that Tlaib quoted her son telling her, “Look mama you won. Bullies don’t win.” Tlaib reportedly replied, “You’re right, they don’t. And we’re gonna go in and impeach the motherfucker.”

Pelosi is the constitutional equal of Trump? What about the other 434 representatives? Is the president just one of 436? What about the Seante? Are they all equal to the president too? Supreme Court Justices?

How many cooks does Pelosi have stirring this pot?

December payrolls up 312,000 jobs. Revisions up 52,000 as well. So many positive signs of current policy but lefties want yet another debate about Socialism.

rehajm: "December payrolls up 312,000 jobs."

The lefties and their trained LLR housepets could not care less. In fact, this is precisely the sort of economic performance the Pelosi's and LLR Chuck's et al want to destroy so they can return to their long term plan of hollowing out and weakening America in order to elevate their real friends: the Chinese, the Iranians (indeed the entire muslim world), the Europeans.

I will bet Fed Chairman Powell even now is contemplating a further acceleration of interest rate hikes to slow all this positive economic activity down.

A lot of those jobs are going to Deplorables. Jay Inslee will know how to take care of that.
