Without watching, I find myself agreeing with Nate on this. I'm not watching, because I'm not interested in watching so much hate. It takes a lot of hate to want to make such a video and put it out there during the holidays. I doubt all that hate is directed at Trump only. I'm sure it includes hate for Christians celebrating Christmas apolitically as well.

Interesting side note on the pro-obama singers: it actually took LLR Chuck longer to learn that song than the kids.

Meh. The MSM and Democrats have been absolutely INSANE about Trump since November 2016. But that didn't stop the D's from winning the House.

Trump squeaked out a win in 2016, but the USA is FULL of dummies. In fact, their default position is full-moron stupidity. Its only when things get so obviously bad that a few of them wake up and vote the right way.

I note that the MSM had to backtrack on "Trump didn't visit the Troops during Christmas, like everyone else" - but still spun the Iraq visit in an anti-Trump way. Meanwhile, the NYT (no doubt knowing about the Iraq-Trump visit) ran an article accusing Trump of dodging the Draft - 50 years ago.

All of those people — the progressive/left “Resistance” —voted for Clinton and it wasn’t enough. They could do it again, with a nominee like Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden, and it probably would not be enough again.

That is, if Trump once again corrals votes like mine (Republicans who hate him and who never wanted Trump as a nominee but who voted for him as a least-worse alternative).

I don’t care what the far left does. I am much more interested in the 2020 Republican primary.

C) Not care about what words Mean; only about how they Feel?

Have at it people! I'll try to keep count

Probably that packing the Trump-hate into Christmas carols is not a good way to win friends and influence people, except amongst the devout.

It's important to note that some or maybe most of the packaged Trump-hate we see is put together for profit and not for politics. There's a market of several million people who are truly devout and gobble up every negative word. Most of them are probably watching Rachel right now.

Here's an opinion on the founder of the group that put out out the video above. It's from...Daily Kos.

"As it stands, the “Green New Deal” is more aspirational than actual policy. Indeed, it takes its name from the New Deal of the 1930s, and its main backer, incoming Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, compared it to the Great Society of the 1960s.

More than 40 Democratic lawmakers support the “Green New Deal” as part of a broad plan to fight global warming and bring about what they see as “economic, social and racial justice.” A poll found most Americans supported the deal, but knew little about it."

BU is supposed to have a pretty good economics program and AOC was #6 in her class.

How could that be given how little she seems to have learned in getting the degree. Ditto her minor in political science (foreign affairs? Something like that)

Could it be affirmative action? Se may have been one of those troublemaker students where everything less than an A+++ and ANY red pencil is RACIIISSSM!!!

Professors recognize students like this. They give them perfect grades without even looking at papers or tests. It avoids having to defend oneself against charges of racism sexism or other bullshit.

So she comes out with a great piece of paper and a great transcript. She thinks she is smart and knowlegable.

The rest of the world sees right off that she isn't.

Really, that kind of performance and a school like BU and the best job she could get was bartending? Couldn't even hold on to that and wound up becoming a Congressperson.

Sure it pays better than bartending but it is not as respectable.

It's quite possible to be an econ major and take the softest classes from the most leftist professors. Most large departments have a token Marxist, a 'natural resources' (aka environmental) economist, an economic historian (also Marxist), etc. And a track for the major that doesn't require a lot of math.

For those herein feeling irrational sensitivity to "Mueller Christmas", lets talk about a serious new development as dangerous as the "Blood diamond conspiracy." From Bloomberg Businessweek comes "Bitcoin ATMs May Be Used to Launder Money," but the article leaves little doubt.

Almost anyone can buy a BTM for a few thousand dollars—a University of California student installed one on his Santa Barbara campus. Obtaining a federal money transmission license requires about 15 minutes on the U.S. Department of the Treasury website, and some states treat the devices as vending machines rather than money-service businesses. Owners do have to comply with banking regulations that prevent money laundering, which requires collecting information about customers. But that practice is very much theoretical, and some machines openly advertise that they flout the law. A company in Los Angeles with 17 machines tells potential customers online that they can buy Bitcoins instantly with no ID, and the transaction is “TOTALLY ANONYMOUS.” But if that’s true, it’s illegal.

BTMs are almost by definition perfect vehicles for dirty money. A Bitcoin bought at a machine in Harlem would be instantaneously deposited into a digital wallet, which could be owned by the person standing at the machine, a drug cartel in Colombia, or a ransomware hacker. Fees vary widely and can be changed in real time depending on demand. Cottonwood [Vending LLC] charges users 19 percent or more in transaction fees. (It sounds like a lot until you consider that the going rate for clean cash in the criminal underworld is about 30 percent.)

To date, U.S. regulators haven’t had the interest or resources to investigate BTMs, so it’s more or less an open secret that they’re used by drug dealers and other criminals. ... Arnold Spencer, general counsel at Dallas-based Coinsource, the largest BTM operator in the world [tests] his competitor’s machines to see if they’re complying with anti-money-laundering regulations.

By his estimate, more than half the machines in the U.S. aren’t following the rules—meaning they don’t verify identification or impose limits on transactions—potentially resulting in more than $500 million in illicit cash being laundered annually. “That should be getting someone’s attention,” he says, adding that there are plenty of legitimate customers using BTMs—speculators, for instance, and immigrants sending money home to their families in countries like the Philippines and Mexico.

Interesting article - Read the whole thing.

Assume a can opener, ya jackasses!

How many hundreds of billions in reductions (over ten years, as these things go) will China's teetering economy give, just to regain the stability that Trump has removed? And when will people recognize that China's economy is too heavy, fragile, and only about a third the size of the US economy? Oh, and that reduced regulations make America's economy much more dynamic and resilient than it was two years ago?

Oh, and if you want to believe China's economy is closer to official Chinese press claims? You're wrong. Look at the nighttime satellite images of China. Compare them to the U.S. China is largely dark and the U.S. looks like a damned Christmas tree. Economic activity cannot be faked and the books cannot be faked, where satellites are concerned. If the lights are off, there is not commerce happening.

Last night my wife and I went to see a Christmas light exhibit in our medium-sized Florida town. Now...this being Florida, people are different in a way they are not anywhere else. Still, mostly nice, mostly middle-Class Americans. The light exhibit was cheesy, and not very artistic. But it was really not meant for us (us, being snobby former big city dwellers). As we walked further into the grounds we entered into a play land that was clearly set up for the kids. This was a family event. And viewed through those eyes, it was wonderfully done. There was a band and kids were dancing all over, there were animal figures lit up, and popcorn and hot dogs. It was a way for the family to get out of the house, get outside, and still feel the holiday. These were nice, peaceful, dare I say- normal- Americans. They were happy in the company of their family, not looking to protest or preach or shout in anyone's face. Just enjoying being around those they loved.

After seeing this video of the Mueller Christmas + reading a morning dose of Liberal Americans and the world they create, I wonder how half of America got so crazy? How did literally half of this country get so dimwitted, yet so full of their 'superior intellect'? (to quote Khan from Star Trek). The dichotomy of the two Americas could not be more stark.

The answer to the 'how' is of course, 3 decades of indoctrination posing as our education system.

I don't think it's that complicated. Putin/Russia would benefit from (or at least be amused by) chaos in the US political system. Promoting Trump's election would be one way of creating chaos. Now that Trump is President, removing him from office has potential to create chaos. So it's wrong to think that Putin/Russia is "pro-Trump" -- they are pro-chaos.
