Yes, because we all know the Columbia (alma mater of that "distinguished educator" and guy in the neighborhood, William Ayers) Journalism Review is completely unbiased.
Frankly I prefer coffee made in a 6 cup stainless steel mokka pot. But I tend to make it very very dense with a rather enormous amount of coffee flavor. And 6 espresso cups of that is enough for anybody.
Otherwise a coffee press is pretty good even if most people have almost zero knowledge of how to make coffee in one.
The other reason I want nothing to do with the movement is that it's become all about gay marriage as a right, thus government marriage by one's own design as a right. I think that's a grave error.
Oops. I put my previous comment in the wrong place. All I want to say about this picture is that it would make an awful mess if that dumbbell got knocked over.

If you have other links that show a more favorable Wisconsin job creation I'd be interested to see it.
Put about 10 cups a water in a pot. Boil it. throw a handful of coffee inda pot. Boil it a little more. Turn off the stove. Throw in a cup a cold water. Drink yer coffee.
I have grown weary of the SSM debate, mainly because of all the sanctimonious tripe about rights and discrimination and bigotry. Not only that, but I have had enough of the oversimplistic pronouncements about treating EVERYONE equally and allowing EVERYONE to marry who they want. It's like Scalia somehow managed to sneak inside the minds of SSM advocates and trick them into saying things he predicted they would say.
Anyway, I hope SSM becomes legal nationwide, not only because I support it but also because it will get people off their damn soap box.

Did the '64 Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act end or give birth to the racial grievance industry?
Just saw this and it may give someone here a chuckle.
In the face of severe budget cuts ofr sequestration, I-am-not-a-Dictator Zero has seen fit to create 5 new National monuments including (better sit down...) the entire state of Delaware.
All types of marriage should be allowed, why stop at gay marriage (let us keep it still in the human realm, though some humans may qualify as some other breeds). What about polyandry or polygamy. Polyandry may become a necessity in China and in India down the road (for India, they have that in the scriptures, so it is not new; don't know about China). Polygamy should now be acceptable because we no longer are a male dominated society, right?
I don't understand the attraction to making ONE cup of coffee at a time, unless you live all alone. To me the charm of coffee, (besides the caffeine and flavor and smell) is the cozy ritual of sitting together with your sweetie in the morning and sipping on cups of coffee. It is the most relaxing part of the day when you are alone, before the phone starts ringing and you can discuss what your future day is going to be like. Companionable and cozy.
Making one cup for him. Then one for me. Then one for him while I'm standing trying to drink mine before it goes cold. Then one for me and so on.
OR...I make one for me...sit down and drink mine while he is making his...get up and make my next cup while he is drinking his. It sounds like a coffee treadmill.
"I have wondered what I'll do when that get too hard to push down. My kettle bell will have double duty. Thanks."
Funny, I was just saying a kettle bell would be better.

Pretty sure my 88lb kb's would crush that goofy little coffee making thingy. But you guys with your little 6 pound pink ones from Tar-jay--knock yourselves out.
ummm...eddie...you might want to actually read the article. It's *in* Delaware, it's not Delaware.

Umm, Cee Ee, you might want to check the copy.
From the article:
"Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad for escaping slaves. Charles Young and the Buffalo Soldiers. The Rio Grande del Norte in New Mexico. The San Juan Islands off Washington State. The state of Delaware."
It is Delaware. Kind like old Bucketmouth Carter made Alaska a wildlife refuge.
I am surprised at the unclean state of the counter (though I don't know why), and delighted that you would be twee enough to get the tomato Le Creuset pot.
My fave Le Creuset piece is the honey jar with dipper.
kyliz: someone once said, "the problem with Le Creuset is that by the time you're old enough to have the money to buy it, you're no longer strong enough to lift it."
Also, the counter is now clean and orderly and dishes are put away. I'd ask her to post a photo to prove it to you but she'd probably say it would be too boring. So you neatniks will just have to take my word for it.
You're misreading that. "First State National Monument in Delaware" doesn't mean that this is the first of many state national monuments.
Delaware is "The First State," like New York is "The Empire State."
"The park is comprised of three historic areas related to Delaware's rich history: the Dover Green, the New Castle Court House complex (including the courthouse, Green and Sheriff's House), and the Woodlawn property in the Brandywine Valley." That's nice but not the whole state.
Synova, did you use only almond flour or did you mix with another flour? Make sure to use enough baking soda and baking powder, I usually use more than recipe calls for. Also if you have a muffin top pan, try using it instead of the loaf an, for individual cakes. They always bake up beautifully for me.

Rinse out that glass! Wipe that counter!
Pretty gay around here today.
I just made an Aeropressed cup of Peet's Arabian Mocha-Java. Didn't use a weight to push it down though - it was sheer, sweaty, hairy, manly muscle.
Like I said, pretty gay around here today.
We'll send you to a rehab camp.
There was a question earlier about mixing up last breaths in the atmosphere. I thought this was kind of interesting:
Bomb Spikes
Apparently, it takes about a year for northern and southern hemisphere air to mix.
Scott Walker and job creation
Making coffee in a French press is a sign of support for SSM.
I have wondered what I'll do when that get too hard to push down. My kettle bell will have double duty. Thanks.

We went from 11th to 44th after Walker took over.
Looks like you could ride a toboggan on that slide. Wheee!
I guess dismantling unions doesn't create jobs after all.

I tried a 1 lb bag of Starbucks Verona Blonde. It was surprisingly good. I hope old burned roast Starbucks keeps selling a blonde roast version.
It's garbage like this that makes me say, "Sure, I'm in favor of government gay marriage. No, I won't go anywhere near the movement for it."
I buy a bag of the Starbucks Willow Blonde every week or so. I hated their coffee before, but the blonde roast is great.

If you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem.
And also a bigot.
There should be only one thing in the kitchen that does only one thing and that's a fire extinguisher.
The other reason I want nothing to do with the movement is that it's become all about gay marriage as a right, thus government marriage by one's own design as a right. I think that's a grave error.

That's not a dumbell, that's a constitutional law professor. Wait..never mind.

A coffee philosophy.

@Rusty: that's camp coffee.
Walker is writing a book with Marc Thiessen. Wonder what the title will be?
Possibly "You Should Quote A More Reliable Source Than PBS If You Want To Defame Me"?

Backyard briefly investigated in new snow, with un-winter-like Spring bird songs video.
So... I tried a paleo banana bread.
It tastes good. I over baked it but it's still like dough inside. I'm hoping that as all the almond stuff cools that it firms up.

Palladian, it is a serious proposition.. especially polyandry.. Do you know where China is heading with its gender ratio?
I am surprised at the unclean state of the counter (though I don't know why), and delighted that you would be twee enough to get the tomato Le Creuset pot.
My fave Le Creuset piece is the honey jar with dipper.
I make cherry clafouti in a big oval Le Creuset dish when the Rainier cherries are at the grocery.
My clafouti is purti.

Almond, oat and coconut flour makes a great blend.
Do you know where China is heading with its gender ratio?
No! And I don't care!
The park is comprised of three historic areas
Comprise goes the other way.
Drinking coffee-press coffee right now as I read this. It's the best.
