Where is that? I love all the flowers in the grass. I wish my yard looked like that.

I noticed the other day how the freeways out here are lined with wild flowers in bloom. A consequence of a very wet winter.

Spring wild flowers are a great gift from the Creator. As is Meade.

Can't see Ann as Norma Desmond.

Maybe Meade's doing a little Splendor in the Grass.

Given the time of year, however, I can't imagine Ann wants to display all that much of her splendor.

At least outside.

Picture taken at Olbrich Gardens. I've already posted several of the pics M took lying on the ground like that.

Or is this the Monty Python sidewalk scaling sketch?

The picture of the little blue "egg" in the form of a grape hyacinth bud posted here on Easter captured my attention and my imagination. It connected me to the joy I felt as a child on eggs hunts. I saw it as a symbol of spring, Easter, hope, and "things are not as they seem".

It wasn't until I was out walking in our yard today, looking at size of the grape hyacinths in the grass that I realized the eyes and distance needed to find and photograph such a small bud.

Macro photography can be a fun but at times painful exercise...As well in some cases using manual focus as autofocus sytems will focus on worng part of image.

I was getting so tired of seeing Wisconsin protesters, the fleurs have provided a lovely respite.

I said I was impressed - I'm even more impressed now.

Keep it up, Meade.

It must take a lot of effort not to roll down the hill.
