"Considering that the vote margin after the full canvass was 7316, and no recount in Wisconsin ever has resulted in a change of more than a few hundred votes..."

And the purpose is always the same: buying political power.

Someone commented over there that Democrats always pick up votes in recounts. I assume his point is that Democrats cheated in the recount. Of course, it could go the other way too - that Republicans cheated in the original count and now we're getting it right.

What do you-all think? We Republicans tend to assume that Democrats are cheating in voter registration, get-out-the-dead-vote, voting many times, etc. What should happen in a recount if that is true?

Hey, if this restored garage mahal's faith in the electoral process, it was worth it.

I have a feeling though that he'll just be cheerleading the next "Million Mahal March"

Kloppenburg is in modern progressive/liberal mode. First she puts out half truths and spins to destroy the reputation of innocent officials, and then she discovers a need to investigate all of this half true spin that destroyed innocent reputations, and then after they are cleared she repeats all of the half true spins again as if everyone knows they must be true since they were in news stories once.

Pretty much nothing, as the recount will not catch that type of fraud.

Counting benefits, should pay for 5 teachers.

6 if you deduct the non-teaching days spent at the protests in Madison.

Of course this expensive probably could have been avoided if a Republican clerk had not kept the totals on her personal computer causing yet again another glitch in the records.

But roachy, that was the only way to stop the Democrats from stealing the election by making sure they found enough votes in a car trunk to win.

It's just sound strategery.

Well then change the law.

The law is the law.

This is close enough for a recount. I didn't hear anyone calling for the law to be changed before this mess.

Klopp obviously is a hack rather than a real judicial candidate, but she's within her rights.

I do realize no one is saying she isn't within her rights, and she's merely abusing those rights in a wasteful way. That's true.

But when it comes down to it, I think candidates shouldn't be condemned for holding to their rights and rules in an election. Set up the rules, make them clear, follow the rules to the letter. That's all Klopp is doing in this case.

Announcing she won, and then claiming it's so close we need a recount when it's vastly less close, is quite sad for her. She's done in politics. that's enough for me.

There wasn't a glitch. Vote totals were properly tabulated and reported by the counties in question on the night of the election.

Now, the totals release to the AP were glitched, but that only matters to the MSM and Dem bosses trying to discover how many fake votes they needed to create to steal the election.

I hope Walker passes the cost of this frivolous recount on to the Unions.

Not really. Check out this chart of recounts from 1980-2011. Can you find the outlier?

Pathetic how far the lefties will go to blame everything on a Republican. The error made no difference in the final vote totals, so we'd still be here waiting for the recount to confirm the winner.
