Sunrise, this morning, we thought there was a folk group with a strumming guitar.

And right on the cue the birds fly across the sunrise in silhouette. Well done birds.

Stairway to Heaven, Led Zeppelin IV, perhaps their best song!

Here's question I'm debating within myself. Is climate change a cause or an effect? "What caused that climate change? Climate change." I feel as though that is what people are saying to me now. When a lib says: "whether the temp goes up or down, it's all climate change," isn't he saying: "climate change is caused by climate change?" Or am I missing something? When a lib used to say: "global temperature will rise due to anthropomorphic-induced global warming," then cause and effect were clear. But when temps didn't rise, then the libs and progs switched to: "any change is climate change." But in this the latest version - hot, cold, rain, no rain, it's all climate change - what's the cause? It can't be that increasing heat is causing temperature drops, and is causing both more rain and less rain. Climate fear is now being said differently. At least,to my ear, people are saying: "[the cause] climate change is [the effect], climate change. Be Afraid."

And then, the awful truth sank in.

Great cover of Neil Sedaka's original

Climate change is what the Earth does, and has been doing, since Day 1. Never in history, across the coast of long-term time, has the Earth's climate been either static or unchanging. As I think many of us have long suspected, and as is being made clear with time, as one supposed crisis is swapped for another, the Earth's changes in weather have been the macguffin whose purpose is to extract money and consolidate political power at the expense of progress and capitalism.

It would seem that many people in positions of authority really, really hate capitalism, because it limits how much power they can personally consolidate.

Speaking of Climate Change, the political climate in Texas just changed. It appears that Talerico really 𝘸𝘒𝘴 receiving care in a psychiatric clinic, in Ohio.

Let's see how smart Paxton is.

…funny I just assume most Democrats are at least on Adderall and Xanax if not handfuls of stuff they get from their psych teams, so to see a major leftie candidate headed to psych care instead of campaigning is not surprising. What is mildly socking is the doosh on the phone releasing patient information- is it really a mental care facility?

*Stairway to Heaven, Led Zeppelin IV, perhaps their best song!*

Music is subjective, so I'm not arguing your point ... but imo, it's not even the best song on that album.

My favorite Led Zeppelin song is "Going to California"... on that album.

Every time it comes up when I'm playing my Spotify "Liked" songs on shuffle, I have no idea what I'm listening to. Just some rambly, folky guitar stuff for a long time before it gets going.

Very similar to my feeling when first hearing the music at sunrise today. It really did feel as if some folky kids had brought their guitar out to make their own music.

When it became noticeably "Stairway," I thought, well lots of kids play "Stairway" when they get their hands on a guitar (or at least they used to, decades ago). It was so funny when we realized it was just a recording... the recording.

Going to California
The Battle of Evermore
When the Levee Breaks (yes, it's a cover) ... all preferable to Stairway - at least to me. YMMV

Then again, I place Zep II and Houses ahead of IV.

Fortunately, I have all eight (Coda doesn't count) on vinyl. All played only once and recorded on R2R.

Stairway to Heaven came out when I was 7 years old. By the time I was 9 I never wanted to hear it again. That has not changed.

It seems like Talarico could put an end to the rumors about him being hospitalized in a psychiatric treatment facility by, I don't know, telling people where he was for the past 2 weeks.

That could work, if he wasn't hospitalized in a psychiatric treatment facility.
