"[M]y speech was not a critique of Arabs or Islam, but of Islamism... a toxic ideology conceived and promoted by the terrorist group, the Muslim Brotherhood.

"Let’s see which reporters take the time to read this post and then correct their stories."

Writes RFK Jr., at great length, at X.

He links to various reporters, and I don't think any of them have responded.

The Daily Wire and The Washington Examiner have, however, noted his post: here and here.

A lot of moderate Arabs and Persians have looked to Islamism as the best strategy to fight against their occupiers, since nothing else seemed to work. But I guess that leveling apartment blocks in order to assassinate a single resistance fighter is not toxic if you can afford fighter jets.

Or, like just happened in the West Bank, leveling the neighborhood where a resistance fighter lived, which used to be a war crime, collective punishment, is in no conceivable way “toxic.”

“ Islamism is intensely anti-American, anti-Western, and hostile to modernity.” —RFK Jr

In other words it’s a resistance movement to protect their culture, their land, and their natural resources from Western exploitation and oppression through domination.

To help the stultified among us.

Here is what RFK Jr. was alluding to:

Jews make up 0.2% of the global population. Since 1901 they've accounted for 22% of the Nobel Prizes- in all fields.

Muslims make up 24% of the global population. Since 1901 they've accounted for less than 1% of Nobel Prizes- in all fields.

The point isn't that Muslims cannot do it. The point is that they are too busy beheading and trying to conquer or kill people. They have no time to invent new physics, no time to assimilate into productive societies, because their own societies are...well...I'll be kind and simply say they are not doing it.

I read an interesting Substack about the history of the Muslim Brotherhood some months ago - darned if I can remember whose! The upshot was that it started as a extreme-purist, minority movement within Islam but its growth has wildly outstripped that of its philosophical competitors in that religion. And yes, that it's the root of all evil, so to speak, within Islam and also the major source of trouble in the world today.

I myself would argue that if an extreme-purist (not just extremist) interpretation of a religion leads its adherents to believe that the path to greatest virtue is to convert by violence or to kill everybody who isn't an adherent, the religion itself is the problem, or at least a big part of it. But I can envision an Islam that rejects its Puritans.

Which means they are not "moderate". This guy is to full of shit.

Nobody is occupying Arab land. Arabs and Jaq hate Jews and are obsessed with driving them into the sea to take back land the Arabs once stole.

Look at the burka on Jaq.

There is no such thing as " moderate Islam". There are muslims who will actively search you out and hurt or kill you and then there are other muslims who want the more violent types of muslims to search you out and hurt or kill you.

Yeah...maybe. But shawarma, falafel, and baba ghanoush are DELICIOUS!! Better than gefilte fish and matzah ball soup. They should be allowed to terrorize and reconquer the Holy Land just for the superior cuisine.

When faced with mounting backlash over policies that helped produce a war with Iran and drive up inflation and energy costs, Republicans are throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks—flooding the political landscape with accusations and attacks in the hope that something will resonate with voters.

Nailed it, per usual.

Islam is a failed culture that will never change.

As Churchill said, “Islam is the most retrograde force in the world.”

Explain how today's policies caused a war with Iran that started in 1979 when Iran overran an embassy and took people hostage- starting the war.

Alternatively- explain when peace between Iran and the United States was established between 1979 and today allowing a new war to commence.

Gusty- if you ever visit Israel you'll find out that Israeli food is the same as Syrian, Lebanese, Jordanian. All of them are mixed, as would be expected. And...all of them are delicious. The food in Israel is one of the best parts of Israel.
And...speaking as a guy born and raised in metro Detroit, home of a very large Muslim/Arab and large but not nearly as large Jewish population (as well as Greek)- I grew up on Middle Eastern and Mediterranean foods. I agree with you. It is the best- aside from Italian. But you cannot mention gefilte fish without also mentioning 4" thick corned beef sandwiches, etc. (not in Israel, but in Detroit).
