I read somewhere that women sometimes change their minds. Maybe that's what happened......The human race became homo sapiens about 300,000 years ago. For all but about--tops--fifty of those 300,000 years, men held a dominant position. It takes a while to work out all the cultural and evolutionary kinks. I'm sure in another twenty or thirty years, men and women will find a way to live in domestic bliss......Or maybe AI and sex robots are the right solution.

As I understand women used to stand an 18% chance of dying an agonizing, hideously painful death in childbirth or of puerperal fever shortly thereafter. Evolution didn't deal them a fair hand. On the other hand, if given sufficient strength and freedom to refrain from childbirth, the human race would have probably gone extinct PDQ. I don't think God wanted women to suffer, but evolution certainly did.
