Here's The Washington Post's front-page coverage of the action in yesterday's primaries:

I'll have to search beyond the front page to see if there's a tear shed for Schlossberg.
Ah, here: "A Kennedy scion loses in a crowded, pricey New York City congressional primary/The Kennedy dynasty won’t be returning to Congress next year." They don't trust readers to recognize the name Schlossberg.
From the NYT article: "Once considered a favorite, Mr. Schlossberg, 33, landed in third place in a Democratic primary in one of the nation’s most liberal districts, now held by Representative Jerrold Nadler, the veteran Democrat, who is retiring. Micah Lasher, an assemblyman who had been endorsed by Mr. Nadler, won the primary.... Schlossberg poured at least $1 million of his own into the campaign, and had tried to press his case in its closing weeks, including in a lengthy interview with The New Yorker.... “I’m running because I want to pass laws,” he told David Remnick, the magazine’s editor. “I want to pass laws that help the people in this district and in our country.”
Pass laws that help the people... Ever since Ted Kennedy's famous screwup, everyone running for office has known that the one thing you've got to have ready to go is an answer to the question why are you running. And that's his answer, a child's answer: I want to pass laws that help the people.

Apparently the NYT was dreaming of having kings. Or more likely wanted to make the Marxist seem more appealing by the suggesting the alternative was a return to royalty.
Camelot is finally dead.
It's good to see the Wadler out of Congress and also to keep this Kennedy scion from getting in. Win-win!
“ Schlossberg poured at least $1 million of his own into the campaign.”
His own? Hardly.
Oh, this is just great news to see early in the morning. Begone, fool!
“I’m running because I want to pass laws."
"As a Democrat, I like telling people what to do."
The internet informs me that schloss in German means a palace, stately home, or large noble residence and that the German word for dental floss is zahnseide.
RFK Jr's defection to Trump in 2024, and the subsequent Kennedy family split, marked the clear end of "Camelot."
The believers in JFK are from a bygone white-left era and predate the Party defections of Trump, Gabbard, Musk, Rogan, etc. JFK would be a Republican today, or he'd never be nominated at all.
Nancy is gone. The Democrats are imploding. Hakeem isn’t up to the job. The party covers its failures by arguing they should have been even larger.
Hey, the Kennedy dynasty still has access to power- through RFK Junior as he Makes America Healthy-
Oh, that doesn't count? Well, hard luck for them. Slop writing and boomer politics are very much on their way out.
Maybe Schlossberg will now get a real job. But probably not. He’s a Kennedy stuck with a different last name.
…isn’t that the level of intellect what’s left of the Democrat party has been assigning to office? Kamala, Biden…and I believe Obama, intellectual lightweights that won’t get in the way of the cabal that actually runs things. Gavin is a man with some plans so no way are they picking him…
…a hasty guess Schloss would just be in the way, plus New York liberals are more interested in full commie nowadays…
The Democrats don't pine for some congenial spot for happy-everaftering. They want socialism and they want it . . . now.
Those poor Kennedy cultists will have to do without a leader. Sad!
He got more votes than George Conway.
Sorry, happily.
He was definitely better looking than the other candidates. I was hoping he'd win and go on to break up AOC's marriage. The Kennedy sex scandals are the most entertaining and prurient. I mean no disrespect to Bill Clinton and Anthony Weiner, but how can you really compare them to JFK and Marilyn Monroe. If you really want a sex scandal worthy of a mini-series, the Kennedy's are the go to family.
"He got more votes than George Conway."
Yeah, I left him out of the post but I do find his abysmal showing funny. Who does he think he is? Why did he imagine anyone in New York cared?
"He was definitely better looking than the other candidates..."
Am I the only one who thinks he looks like Doug Burgum?
I never got the "Camelot" allusion to JFK. Arthur was never shtuping mafia prostitutes in the castle.
I wonder if most of the voters knew he was a Kennedy.
After this stunning rebuke, the candidate got Schlossed to drown his sorrows.
NYC voters rejected the descendants from a Democrat Party of the past and chose even more anti-American 9/11 loving jihadist Muslims to govern. "Death To America" Democrats.
Every candidate Zohran Mamdani backed won. So why does it feel like they all lost?
Among other things, David Remnick is a serial liar who helped usher Obama into the White House by covering for him and perjuring others. He shouldn't just be entirely discredited, along with anyone who publishes him: he and they should have been sued into penury decades ago.
Yeah, William, dead and raped women are hilarious. How about giving me your full name and address?
Every candidate Zohran Mamdani backed won. So why does it feel like they all lost?
Because Mamdani will have no excuses for implementing his Marxist government, and none of those have ever succeeded when a free market economy alternative exists and is readily available for the population to immigrate. Perhaps Mamdani can build his own Berlin Wall and the prediction of “Escape from New York” will finally become true. Spencer Pratt can be cast in the part of Snake Plissken.
Micah Lasher is 44. That means he will have a lock on the seat for at least the next 18 terms. Unless the district turns even further left, in which case he will eventually be carried in a tumbrel to the guillotine erected at Columbus Circle.
Of course, we all know that there never was a Camelot, either in Britain or in the USA. It's all fiction.
The NY Communists are on the march.
Funny that the NYT is the only place on the planet where thoughts of a 'Camelot' filled with lusty Kennedy's are still nurtured and kept alive- generation after generation.
Even as the city around the NYT goes 1917 Russia. A far cry from Camelot, I would say.
OT:
455 Medicaid fraud indictments - and the media do not mention it at all.
When the administration cleans up fraud - crickets from the Soviet media.
Once a dick, always a dick, amirite, Jack?
Hey, I notice that Mandani and his helpers have managed to sneak two more Socialists through the primary process, and get them onto the ballot for November. That's two more Reds being salted into our Federal government, since they are now a shoe-in to win the election in good old pull-the-lever NYC.
Is it too early to call Brad Lander a disappointing sell-out?
"Hey, I notice that Mandani [sic] and his helpers have managed to sneak two more Socialists through the primary process, and get them onto the ballot for November."
Oh dear, these 'Socialists' are going to lead the party to defeat by focussing on affordability and regular people rather than being handmaids for real-estate developers and foreign lobbyists.
It was JFK's navy experience that made him electable. That and his father's money and grandfather's political connections. But without the PT 109 story, he was just another idler and playboy, like his grandson.
Mamdani can regard himself as a kingmaker, but this election seems to be about the rejection of rich kids like Schlossberg and Dan Goldman. One can hate Brad Lander's leftism but still find a little comfort in NYC's rejection of obnoxious Levi's heir Goldman. There will be time to hate Lander and Lasher (who beat Schlossberg), Dasher and Dancer, Prancer and Vixen later.
Lasher was endorsed by Nadler, who beat Maloney in 2022 by 30 points, and ran unopposed in 2024. Needless to say, the 12th is one of the most democrat districts in the USA, with Harris getting 80 percent.
Both Nadler and Lasher are Jewish. Schollburger isn't. How much of a difference that made is anyone's guess. Jews no longer feel they need to have a Gentile pol represent their interests, they can do it themselves.
Its not clear to me, how the voters would know he was "a kennedy" when his name is Schollerburger or whatever.
"NO KINGS!!!" Strikes again.
It's interesting to me the idea that this spells doom for the Democratic party. The Progressives time might be coming to an end, but it's OK because there's a power struggle going on, and it will weaken Democrats.
Really? I wonder how all these Reds are winning the primaries so easily. Goldman lost his incumbency by over 30 points. Explain that. The Reds are slicing through an ocean of voters with hardly a ripple, gobbling up all the young voters. Their entire 'eat the rich, we'll raise taxes on everybody besides you, and hand you free stuff' message is being underwritten by Soros and other extremely wealthy & stealthy socio-political assassins. The same actors that put all these 'no prosecute' DA's in place a few years ago. They're no longer backing lefty-Progressives, they've shifted their sights a whole lot further left, and they're notching successes.
So if you're confident it means doom for the Democrats, explain to yourself how they put all these candidates in place up to now. Explain how come they managed to elect a Red to Mayor of NYC by a very comfortable margin. Then do a search of how many are already in place in federal office. These locusts know how to game large systems that adopt change slowly, and exploit that by being nimble. This is their new battlefront: Gaming primary campaigns to seat candidates with highly organized motivational campaigns, then winning on the predictable voting habits of the aging ActBlue Democrats.
Someone noted that if you voted for JFK at 21, you would be 87 today. Do the dead dream, or do you go to Camelot when you die?
Defund and dismantle Immigration and Customs ICE) is the same as defund the police. The corrupt left all over the nation are pushing this openly in their campaigns.
40% of ice agents are Mexican Americans - who want to be a part of protecting their families and livelihoods from Biden's (Soros) massive illegal importation.
" 'Socialists' are going to lead the party to defeat by focussing on affordability and regular people"
I just now realized that all this time you've actually been mocking the left. I might stop skipping over you now that I see your sense of humor is pure satire. That's good stuff.
It does seem that the Democratic party is moving away from the "party of Woodstock hippies" they became around the turn of the century as the old guard retired out. Now even a Kennedy has lost the luster.
“This isn't the Democratic party of our fathers and grandfathers. This is the party of Woodstock hippies. I was at Woodstock--I built the stage. And when everything fell apart, and people were fighting for peanut butter sandwiches, it was the National Guard who came in and saved the same people who were protesting them. So when Hillary Clinton a few years ago wanted to build a Woodstock memorial, I said it should be a statue of a National Guardsman feeding a crying hippie.”
― John Ratzenberger Cliff on Cheers
You have to be suicidal to stay in NYC at this point, at least if you are a taxpayer with any wealth or property, who are the only people who can afford it.
“I’m running because I want to pass laws,” he told David Remnick, the magazine’s editor. “I want to pass laws that help the people in this district and in our country.”
Good grief, even Teddy did better than that.
If passing laws helped people even half the time, we would be living in a utopia. I mean how many laws is enough? NY passes between 400 - 900 laws every year, and introduces about 24,000.
I'd definitely vote for a guy who said he wants to eliminate as many laws as he can, and you should too.
NYT supply of "Kennedy scion" usages nears completion
"NY-13 nominee Daraliza Avila Chevalier is a founder of CUAD. The org's stated goal?

"...The death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei prompted a controversial post by Columbia University Apartheid Divest (CUAD) on social media, featuring the phrase "Marg bar Amrika," meaning "Death to America."...."
Welcome to your candidate for the House of Representatives, all you true-blue voters.
"..Darializa Avila Chevalier, 32, who stunned the Democratic political establishment by upsetting Representative Adriano Espaillat, is a relative political newcomer who emerged from the world of far-left activism.....young democratic socialists.....
Some of Ms. Avila Chevalier’s views may be considered too extreme for mainstream politics, and should she be chosen to represent Upper Manhattan in Congress" NYT
You heard it here, folks. The NYT informs us that 'Death to America' may be considered too extreme for this young socialist politician out of nowhere....
Anybody out there wonder how these types just kind of appear, all of a sudden-like? And then win?
“Thank Satan for Commie girls…”

"Renewed Camelot"? Don't you guys remember what the Kennedys did to women that the press routinely ignored?
I don't think he looks like Doug Burgham, I think he looks more like Anthony Weiner.
"Renewed Camelot"? Don't you guys remember how JFK got us involved in Viet Nam?
“If you want to hate America, watch the news.
If you want to love America, visit it.”
“Jews no longer feel they need to have a Gentile pol represent their interests, they can do it themselves.”
and Islamists don’t need asinine apologists, they can fuck off and return home.
On an otherwise disturbing night, the 86ing of Schlossberg was something to cherish.
Longing for return to Camelot in 2026 is the equivalent of people longing for the 1890s during the JFKennedy Era
“…if you voted for JFK at 21, you would be 87 today. Do the dead dream…”
…we know they vote…
@Tina Trent: The humor, such as it was, in my 6:46am post was directed at the Kennedys and the media's obsession with their loves.. I'm perplexed as to how you see this as humor directed against dead, raped women. Your comment seems a bit harsh.
Dems in CO pass 450-500 new laws each year.
The next frontier in laws in CO - banning ketchup packets.
Thank you Nanny Commie (D).
“I'd definitely vote for a guy who said he wants to eliminate as many laws as he can, and you should too.”
Haha- Mitt proposed an opt-in vote for everything on the federal books. Great idea horrible candidate I guess…
"Once considered a favorite, Mr. Schlossberg, 33, landed in third place in a Democratic primary in one of the nation’s most liberal districts"
Exactly who ever considered Schlossberg to be a favorite?
As for the rest of the results, thank the most destructive forces in America...the teachers unions and the education establishment.
