Andy Weir also wrote "The Martian" and "The Hail Mary Project" both of which, I have read recently. Great books, if you like that kind of thing. He's also an engaging guest on some podcasts.

Andy Weir's cosmolgical construct is similar to Elbert Benjamine's (nom de plume C. C. Zain) "Church of Light." The idea that souls evolve with the ultimate reward being creation and stewardship over one's own Universe. It's also not too far removed from the idea that we live in a simulation, and God is an advanced computer programmer.
TikTok has the most annoying user interface on the planet.
