... but here they are theatrically performing the love version of whatever it is they have going, which I'm just going to assume is about self-interest and getting something that looks good done:
"I want to thank the leaders of several major pharmacies and generic drug makers who are partnering with us on this effort, including the co-founder of Cost Plus Drugs, Mark Cuban. Mark, thank you very much. Mark, looking good, Mark. Come here, Mark. Nice to be with you.... We have the same thing, one thing in common. We want to make people better and keep them wealthy, right? Good. Good to be with you."

Mark Cuban is a liberal Democrat billionaire who's always pushing himself into the spotlight. A big zionist too. "Cuban" doesn't mean he's from cuba. Its a shortening of "Cubanainsky" or something.
Anyway, I've always found him a bore. Whether talking sports or politics. But y'know he somehow got rich, so we're forced to listen.
Close, RC, his family name is Chabenisky. And as always, your Jew-dar is finally tuned: he is a member of "the Tribe." Now, unleash your fury.
I don’t think they love or hate; it’s business. Mark’s preference is for lower pharmaceutical prices, and he is with Trump on that business issue. I think “love/hate” wording is trying to radicalize behavior that isn’t.
Americans who pay to fill their gas tanks cant afford your cheap drugs, donnie...
You had one job: NO New Wars
He sacrificed his rep for Israel, like Colin Powell. Disgraceful. The end of the term cant come too soon.
Just seeing him on the screen is so sad. The Jews harvested his balls... he is just another impotent old man now... Sad.
Where do you folks get the idea you have to listen to rich people or buy what theyre selling?
Are you still free?
Can you be?
Don't sell out and assume we all share your plight.
Think for yourselves.
Even those of you who have be3n higher educated. Don't eat the slop they serve up. Don't swallow it...
Call them out.
Love/hate? It looks to me like they have a policy alignment and they’re acting like adults. That’s what’s throwing you off…
Youz don’t make fun of Cuban as a game show host the way youz make fun of Trump as a game show host…
Cuban has never made any secret of his being Jewish. He's out and proud about it. And constantly on twitter and in the spotlight. I don't watch TV anymore, but when i did in the 90s and 00's he was constantly on it.
I remember him debating Ann Coulter. And doing badly.
Kind of nice to see adult policy making in action between two willing parties with few shared beliefs and much to offer. Almost as if they were pragmatic adults. There won't be much more than minimal coverage of this.
An upside to Trump rarely talked about is that he's not as ideologically captured as most politicians -- meaning, he has literally met with people he doesn't agree with on issues where they share common ground. The Democrats love some electric cars but could you imagine them actually bringing Elon Musk (the man who has literally done the most for electric cars) into the White House for a meeting to solve a problem? They actually excluded him from a Biden electrical vehicle summit, which is ridiculous.
To this reader, as long as Mark Cuban can do his part financing IU athletics, he is welcome to develop a relationship with anyone who occupies the White House.
People sure are funny when they pretend politics isn't transactional. Both Trump and Cuban know better.
"...major pharmacies and generic drug makers who are partnering with us...."
Tickler from Zero Hedge posting 18 May 9:35PM: "A civilization survives only when there remain spheres of life politics cannot wholly absorb. Once politics becomes everything, civilization itself begins to disappear..."
Government controls the market in Agriculture, Education, Housing, Information, Medicine....
DJT is not a Small Government guy. Nice we are seeing fraud uncovered in Government operations, including elections. But only real way to reduce government fraud is eliminate government involvement.
DJT is a guy who wants to make deals. Those who are in politics to destroy those they hate, and not to accomplish anything, are incapable of using that to their advantage.
Which tells you a lot about the vast majority of Democrats.
Those who are about doing things, rather than just their hate, will make deals with Trump.
See: Mark Cuban
From my perspective, it's his greatest weakness. I've just been fortunate that the Democrats are so hate-filled and stupid

Jewish AND proud about it? Heavens to Murgatroyd! What is the world coming to?

The United States used to have common principles and unity.
Democrats are just thieves and traitors who hate everything they don’t control.
That is why they are really only left with stupid tribalism and losers like Biden and Harris as leaders.
As Leland, rehajm, Aggie, Known Unknown, and Greg the Class Traitor have already pointed out, Donald Trump is only trying to do things to benefit all American citizens, even the ones who cheer assassination attempts on his life and spent 10 years viciously attacking him, his family, his friends, his colleagues, his business partners and anybody remotely associated with him. Knowing that the costs of prescription drugs has been a complaint of USA citizens for a long time, and has probably popped up as the topic a few times before on this blog, and the fact that Donald Trump is willing to put aside personal enmity and Party politics in order to address that problem, it's only right that his sincerity should be doubted and he should be ridiculed for actually achieving what others have only spent decades complaining about.
*doing my best Billy Jack impression here*...Ya know, I try, Althouse. I really, really try....
Oh No! Cuban is a Jew and a Zionist.
Off to the gas chambers. RCO will give him the train ticket.
It is about self interest, and getting something that IS good done. With a market economy, these two things often collide. This is a perfect example.
DJT is not about small government? Hmmm. "Approximately 277,870 federal civil service jobs have been cut since President Trump's inauguration. The total federal civilian workforce shrank from 2.31 million in September 2024 to roughly 2.03 million in early 2026, representing a 10% overall reduction in the federal workforce" What other modern-day president has done this?
At one point, there was talk of Cuban running for president, possibly against Trump. He's got the money and some achievements, but he doesn't have much of a personality. He always reminded me of Jim "Gomer Pyle" Nabors.
Is there any other product or service outside of healthcare where the actual price is a small fraction of the list price? If you can make a profit selling it for $1, but your regular price is $100, you are a shyster.
The real shysters are the people who created and participate in the parasitic industry of insurance coding and billing. Their salaries alone must inflate the crap out of medical costs, especially as coding costs are regressive: they take a huge chunk of a small practitioner's overhead. CC, JSM
"...could you imagine them actually bringing Elon Musk (the man who has literally done the most for electric cars) into the White House for a meeting to solve a problem?"
They would probably get a famous astronaut like Katy Perry.
Laz, do you mean he sings better than he talks? Maybe Tillis can be his running mate. CC, JSM
You can not DESPISE the media enough. It is so damn rude to be invited to this announcement, with extremely patriotic industry leaders and when questions start completely ignore the purpose of the meeting. Now this could be solved by Trump. Only questions relating to the purpose of the meeting will be handled. Period. But he is so open to all questions that he won’t do it.
And our press don’t give a crap about reduced drug prices, until they can bash republicans with it. Disgusting, disgusting.
Mindless cynicism is a bad look.

Democrats already have a famous astronaut senator named Kelly.
The fun part is he is a traitor who is releasing classified information to undermine our military in Iran and he is being paid millions of dollars to sell Chinese supplements by the Chinese government.
Something about Cuban is really off-putting to me. If I was on Shark Tank, he would need to offer me twice as much as the rest of them to get my deal.
@Marcus Bressler DJT is not about small government?
Employee headcount is just one metric. Proposing a $1.5T military budget is another. Trump is about 'different' government spending than Dems. His team members Musk and Vought (and Ramaswamy) seek smaller government.
Sure, Zavier. It's too bad that Trump is ruining our perfect prescription drug system by getting "the government" involved.
Because until now it's just been pure laissez-faire, without any political shenanigans.
Mark Cuban for President!

Many of us are old enough to remember when celebrities would say the same about Trump, and then when he actually said he'd do it; they freaked out.
Trump is being magnanimous. Mark Cuban is kissing Trump's ass trying to remain relevant outside of the NBA after endorsing Kamala, and claiming "TRUMP DOESN'T SURROUND HIMSELF WITH SMART WOMEN."

This is exactly why we need AI.
