Well, that was nice. Assume this is the East or Midwest.

Hmmm, if I saw that on my door camera, I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't say that I'm not home right now. Just sayin'.

Blessings arrive in the funniest ways.

That pastor is doing something right. I wonder if those boys have father's at home or in their lives. That would be interesting to know.

HOPE for the future.

that video enrages the left and Islamic a-holes.

But: Am I missing something? What was the evil the boys saw in the message 'Enjoy Youre (sic) Adventure'?

Can a moment go by where we don't chant our universal hatred of Muslims?

"Fuck them for living on top of the oil that we want! That's just evil!"

I think the symbol beneath the words could be interpreted as a satanic symbol.

so.. kids are going to their pastor's house to pray.
BUT! we are "supposed" to think that 'swingerism' is rampant among youths.

maybe.. JUST MAYBE.. there are different groups of youths out there?

Peachy said...

ah poor baby Muslims.

Peachy said...

so so so sensitive. Go chop off a head and burn some innocents alive in a cage- Tim in vermont.

Peachy said...

Leftists also demand no other god before them.
You will worship leftists and their Jew-hating causes. or they will whine.... like brats.

Peachy said...

Looked like a satanic symbol - you know the symbol of the angry left. or perhaps an anti-Jewish symbol. Hard to tell.

When I was a kid that age we had religious people that would walk around on Sundays and hand out tiny books of bible passages. Being good Christian boys, we would tear out the pages and roll them into fake cigarettes and pretend to smoke them, and that was when I was at my purest. I don't think I'll ever get to heaven now.

We're gonna miss Him when He's gone.

That's what I wondered, too - but I found it hard to construe it as one. One could say it resembles a pentagon star, but the satanic version of the pentagram is upside down - so there wouldn't be a point at the top. It was a capital 'A', for 'Adventure', inside a paw print, the way I saw it.

I like how the kids are outside riding their bikes.

Jean Sheppard, the creator of the ubiquitous "Christmas Story," made a precursor movie for PBS, "The Great American 4th of July (and Other Disasters)" using many of the same themes about his family quirks and growing up. Scouting locations, the WGBH team drove just outside Cambridge, MA and stopped in the middle of the neighborhood where I grew up. Sheppard said it reminded him of his Midwest home.

Here's the peak scene when the town drunk, Ludlow Kissel, lights a rocket that chases all the kids around my old neighborhood.

(The kid who hands Kissel the match to light the rocket lived in the house where the porch the production built for the movie blows up.)

That passage about 'not living by bread alone'

bagoh20 said...

It's an Anarchist symbol.

Wince said...

Corrections: Jean Shepherd and the kid hands Kissel a punk stick not a match.

Peachy said...

yes thanks - anarchist symbol. The Symbol of Chuck Schumer and Thune.

Leland said...

Don't know the meaning of the 4 dots above the anarchist symbol. Unlike progressives that seem to know everything about NAZI symbology that they claim only the Right cares about; I don't really try to learn too much about ideologies I already know are unhealthy.

I am glad the kids have the means and wherewithal to reach out to an adult for these matters. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

Wow! The Black community needs thousands like this women and millions like the kids. Thank you for sharing that, Professor.

One might think that other than some of the wealthy and famous, or the criminally inclined, normal people are normal.

I can't see the kid's phone well enough to be sure what the troubling symbol is.

I left work yesterday and was startled to see the street behind my building blocked off and crammed with young men of all races streaming in from all directions, many carrying Bibles. The vacant building across the street was lit up for the first time in months, and it looked like SRO inside. There were taco trucks and a live band and several security guards directing traffic. I asked one what was happening. It was apparently a housewarming party for the new headquarters of a rapidly growing evangelical church whose message is laser-focused on the needs and interests of young men feeling adrift in our feminized, emasculated society. It was the jolliest gathering I've seen in a while. I'm not particularly religious, but I can see how the energetic appeal of this outfit is attracting droves of young fellows to be the best men they can be.

That has been said about some other movements....CC, JSM

Ice Nine,

The kids and the pastor are apparently known to each other.

That was a really sweet video. Grok tells me it is somewhere in Ohio, which fits with date, look of the environment, and the accents.
