I want to know who the guy with the bullhorn is. He’s also wearing an expensive and fashionable sweater.

He’s either an academic, NGO employee or government worker.

The war will be over before April 1, 2026. Yesterday Trump said it will be over soon.

Remain calm. The bomb was thrown at unknown persons by persons whose motives are unclear. Allahu Akbar!

And they say that Islam and Western values aren't compatible.

I notice that people who say things like 'everybody is welcome' still use the locks on their doors. Maybe they should be informed that the general public admires individual acts of generosity, but discourages those prone to bestowing things that don't belong to them to people that aren't friendly.

Dude is a world-class idiot. From his X:

"I can not stress this enough, it was right near our feet and it did not look real. We just stood there laughing.

Meanwhile the incel femoids ran away having been totally jestermogged. Their cortisol levels have yet to recover."

He deserves whatever happens to him.

Glad to see Althouse posted this with that headline. Yesterday I tried to describe it (the video is destined to be a classic) but seeing is something else. My wife compared the bullhorn guy's expression to Robert Kardashian's face when OJ was found not guilty: completely stunned.

But chances are bullhorn guy will continue on as a sympathetic advocate of letting the murderous death cult of Islamic radicalism take hold in our country.

Mike (MJB Wolf) said...

Damn! Howard (not...), that sure put a fine point on bullhorn's head didn't it.

FredSays said...

In the NFL that would be an unsportsmanlike penalty for pushing off a lineman as an assist to jumping. 15 yards and replay the down. In real life, life in prison.

Dogma and Pony Show said...

Who is that guy -- who are all of these stooges -- who purport to speak for all other Americans in declaring that someone from an anti-American culture is welcome here? Clearly, there are plenty of people that vast majorities of Americans do not want here. If the bullhorn guy wants to say that HE wants those people here, that's his right. But he doesn't speak for the rest of us.

Leftists profess to be the great protectors of democracy, but they operate from a completely dictatorial mindset in which only their opinions matter.

I agree with this in full. It is a classically conservative position to not want to upset the balance of society by straining it with people fundamentally opposed to being or acting American.

The NYT tells me he's a comedian. Which fits. This is comedy gold. It must hurt having your most widely viewed comedic moment being something that you didn't originate or control. I wonder if he even sees the humor in it.

I read both of the guys they arrested had traveled to the ME for training. Probably funded by Iran.

There was a lot of bomb throwing by Marxists and anarchists and socialists and other assorted -ists in Europe back in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Then WW1 and the Russian revolution and all that wonderfulness came along as modernity changed everything and the ruling elites handled it all very poorly.
I'm sure lessons were learned though, right?

Per Grok:

"ISIS seeks to establish a Sunni Caliphate, directly opposing Iran’s Shiite geopolitical influence in the Middle East.

Military Conflict: Iran has been heavily involved in fighting ISIS in Iraq and Syria, supporting, training, and equipping militias to combat the group.
Direct Attacks: ISIS-K (ISIS-Khorasan) has targeted Iran directly, including high-profile attacks on parliament and the shrine of Ayatollah Khomeini."

And before that there were Catholic heretics, and before that there were the Moorish pirates, and before that there were the Crusades, and before that was a tribe named the Vandals and Attila the Hun, and 7,000 years ago there were some dark, creepy, murderous things happening in Europe.

Yes the man says, "everyone is welcome" ... as the Jihadist Muslim bomb thrower screams "Aloha Snackbar" and flings the bomb... just another day in New York folks under Mayor Mamdani!

Not unlike Mamdani and The New York Times, he is more upset by the peaceful protestor he disagrees with than the bomb-throwing terrorist spreading violence on our streets.

Joe Bar said...

NYPD tell what Emir Balat said after bomb attack.

“He requested paper and wrote, ‘I pledge my allegiance to the Islamic State, die in your rage, you Kufar,’ 'Kufar' is an Arabic term that refers to non-Muslims.”

Mamdani: "muh white supremacy".

Well at least you didn't say it was teh JOOOOS fault...

Now for an education ...

They said that Iran is Shia and the insurgents in Iraq are Sunni so they could not possibly ally against the USA. That's what the experts (like you) said.

And then guess what?

In Iraq the Sunni and the Shia allied intimately to fight against Americans. It turns out the experts who swore they knew what they were talking about were completely wrong. They let their theories overrule what they actually saw in practice, in real life.

Just like Covid, just like everything the "experts" have been swearing the last 20 or 30 years.

As they say, it's not what you don't know that is the problem. It's what you know that ain't so.

2: Bullhorn guy has doubled down. I do wish the bomb had just gone off, delayed, so that all the "peaceful leftists" sitting around staring at the bomb could have enjoyed their "diversity". (Sorry, but Dems voted Jay "it's good to murder everyone I politically disagree with" Jones in as VA AG. Now that it's agreed that "political violence is just fine", I will never regret any political violence that only kills leftists)

Hassayamper said...

Now that it's agreed that "political violence is just fine", I will never regret any political violence that only kills leftists)

After seeing the way the Democrats have been voting for people who explicitly advocate killing their political opponents, and lionizing violent terrorist murderers like the Boston Marathon bombers, the Antifa/BLM mobs in the Floyd riots, and the Luigi Mangione clown, I've made my decision.

Like most normal decent non-leftist men with jobs and homes and families, I will not initiate violence or take part in any kind of riot or insurrection.

But if a Democrat politician who wants to kill me or disarm me takes a bullet between the eyes, and I happen to be able to sneak onto the jury trying the murderer, I will vote to acquit, hang the jury, and take the defendant out for a celebratory drink afterwards.

It's long past time that the left-wing enemy scum who glorify political violence got to enjoy a healthy taste of it in their own lives.

Let's make this country ungovernable by the lice and locusts of the Democrat Party.

Posting a celebratory photo of an anti-Israel college protester who should be deported next to your “non public figure” wife, who cheered the rape and murder of Jews on 10/7, the day after two radical Muslims threw pipe bombs on your sidewalk is a hell of a choice,
