So why is his opinion important? He has made himself irrelevant.
He has no purpose behind it, he is just talking…rationalizing He won’t pass it on to any children. He won’t share it with someone he worked hard with to have a good relationship. And he won’t stick with it because he will get bored with it. He also won’t be part of any community group or effort that will improve the area’s quality of life.
It doesn’t matter what it is, just do something bigger than yourself and you life is infinitely better, even if it certainly episodes within it suck.
Wasn’t Althouse a confirmed believer in singleness when I started to read this blog? I seem to remember her making multiple posts about how satisfying life is by yourself.
Did she ever explain why she got married and if she believes her previous views about being single were wrong?
The only source of dignity is doing something for somebody else.

YouTube shorts -- the platform Meade uses for his videos — is even worse. It won't give you any code for embedding. You've got to figure out how to code it yourself. I was able to do that using AI, but it's aggravating.

I just returned home from a long trip.
the free wi-fi on the plan allowed me to watch a limited selection of movies. I finally submitted to "Barbie" . Only go t thru about 7 minutes. the beginning of the movie depicts young girls bashing the heads of life-like baby dolls. then, as the vapid Mattel barbie world rolls out, the showcase is all the various varieties of Mattel's Barbie thru the decades. Lawyer barbie, flight attendant barbie, and on... They bitterly announce they once had a pregnant Barbie, but she was promptly canceled because pregnancy is an embarrassing disgrace.

The girl is onto some good reasons. The guy is wearing a loser cologne that you can smell through the laptop monitor. I lived single for many years and I loved it for a lot of reasons, but listening to these people makes me want to hate it. One of the best things about living single is not having to put up with someone like this. As long as these videos are out there, they are safe from sharing a life.
