"Get outta here."

ADDED: That video made me think of Meade's video of Hulsey during the Wisconsin protests. Hulsey, who was our assemblyman, had just appeared at a Planned Parenthood rally in front of the Wisconsin Capitol. It was March 25, 2011,  and Meade calls out to him and tried to talk with him. As you'll see, Hulsey refuses to speak to Meade on the ground that he's "a right winger":

Tomczyk was just a legal observer exercising his first amendment rights.

The Dane County judge is corrupt. Hulsey used fighting words. He asked for a punch in the mouth and got shoved. Boo fucking hoo.

It was just a TRO. The hard part comes later when the judge has to decide child custody. Fortunately McDonald's parking lots are cheap and plentiful.

I recall something about his use of a beater car to advertise one of his campaigns, maybe the 2014 gubernatorial race.

Howard (not that Howard) said...

Seems like he could've just enforced the TRO against himself and saved the court's trouble.

Hulsey is a disgrace. I moved from WI to TX—quite an upgrade in governors.

Meade is still in the fight? Good to hear.

The Planned Parenthood umbrella corporation orthodoxy that performs human rites for social, clinical, criminal, political, and climate progress. Sequester the "burden" of evidence to keep women affordable, available, reusable, and taxable, and other purposes, with elements of social liberalism. An ancient secular cult.

I always enjoy reading Democrat thinking that because you don't vote for them then they don't have to represent you or offer you government service.

Meade afflicting the powerful. Nice job.
Hey, Hulsey said he's seen your stuff. What's he talking about? Where can I see your stuff? I assume he's not talking about your daring exploits on the treacherous, man-eating ice of Lake Mendota.

Wince said...

Correct me if I'm wrong, did the tail end of the video reveal Democratic gubernatorial candidate Brett Hulsey had ignored and essentially stepped over a bevy of homeless people to go inside to harass State Sen. Cory Tomczyk?

n.n said...

So, libertarian implies human rights, and liberal implies human rites (e.g. planned parenthood, Capitol punishment).

"Gentlemen, Gentlemen. You can't fight here, its the perfume section."

So this Fat guy goes up to the Senator, filming of course, and starts to berate him in a store. And the Senator pushes him away, and that gives the Judge an excuse for a Restraining order agains the Senator. At least that's how I understand it.

Hulsey's a dumb libtard. Just wind him up, and out comes the Leftwing party talking points. "You're Hitler". "We love immigrants" "We hate federal agents" "Open borders".

On a real level, everything is getter better. Poverty is being eliminated. Casualties and deaths from war have been in steep decline since WWII. Our #1 public health problem is obesity, i.e., overeating. The stock market just closed at 50,000. Yet, public debate is caught in hysterical catastrophizing and Hitlerizing. This is almost impossible to explain. It’s good times, people. David Sinclair is launching the first real clinical trials in anti-aging medicine, with a cure for glaucoma and macular degeneration on the horizon. Enjoy it! Stop the crazy.

@Wince, looked like that to me from the video as well. I am not in Madison so I have no first hand knowledge, however.

Harass somebody and then get a TRO against them. Democrat privilege.

Hustley(D) approached him. Then he gets a restraining order.

Just an old country lawyer said...

Did Hulsey get Tomczyk's permission before filming? It looks like a clear provocation by Hulsey. It's a shame he didn't come away from that encounter with at least a bloody nose. Tim Walz without the boyish charm.

Peachy said...

No one wants to approach or talk to Husley(D) - so he approaches, instigates, annoys like a little mosquito bitch, and then he runs to mommy court system.

The left can blow a hole thru Charlie Kirk's neck - but we cannot beat the holy living snot out of the a-hole who needs it.

He's afraid of Meade and he's running for governor.

Worse still, he does this at a private event to which he was not invited, making him a trespasser.

Hey, Hulsey said he's seen your stuff. What's he talking about? Where can I see your stuff?"

Back during the Walker protests he and the professor were covering events on the blog. He also was posting a lot on some local Madison online deal. I'm guessing that's what Hulsey (whose middle name is Dudley) is referring to.

Curious George said...

"Dave Begley said...

I called Meade Larry on the blog about 10 years ago. It was a post about clerihews where "the first line (of a poem) is the name of a ((famous)) person and nothing more. Second line rhymes, then 2 more lines that rhyme with each other.

I commented:

Professor Ann Althouse
Larry’s her spouse.
He helps her with blogging
And the sink when clogging.

I know his name is Laurence but that sounded awkward. "Larry's" was much better than "Laurence is."

n.n said...

So, Hulsey initiated the altercation, and Tomczyk pushed back.

n.n said...

Fortunately, Hulsey wasn't armed with a scalpel, gun, etc, or his aggression could have forced a progression with abortive affirmative action.

As best that I can recall, Cory Tomczyk (R-Mosinee) was one MAGA politician who opposed mask and vaccine mandates, calling concern over the deadly virus “hysteria.”

But politicians are smarter than leading scientists who said the bill should not be dismissed as anti-science.

In the end, far too many Republicans decided that risk of death from the pandemic was superior to alteration of lifestyles to prohibit spread of the virus. As I recall , Ann elected to get her Pfizer mRNA shots but I don't think that Meade's choice was ever mentioned.

buwaya said...

" risk of death from the pandemic was superior to alteration of lifestyles to prohibit spread of the virus. "

In the end the cost/benefit analyses showed extreme policies caused more damage than they prevented. Most of Europe for instance sent their kids to school in 2020, unlike the US, with no greater death rates. US policies hurt a lot of children for no reason.

OMFG they didn't take the vaccine that didn't stop you from getting Covid, spreading COVID, or lessening the symptoms of COVID, but did have severe side effects for many.

@Curious George: “Larry” is fine, in fact preferred, if I’m being addressed by anyone born after 1954. “Laurence” is my slave name. Online I prefer “Meade” and here at home only one person knows and will ever know how I’m addressed and, no, it’s not “Hey, lover boy” but close enough.
PS: I love your doggerel.

Joe Bar said...

Did Hulsek have permission to film that?

RCOCEAN II said...

He's not a "pussy" or a "Snowflake". Putting it in those terms makes his actions seem harmless and inconsequential. He's using the court system to punish his political enemies.

n.n said...

Masks do not prevent infections. Respirators prevent infections, but not spread. In fact, they increase the risk as viral concentrators, spreaders, and science-adjacent deceptions. Vaccines trigger sterilizing immunity. The Covid jab was a vaxxxine, which was the justification and demand for inclusive mandates.

Ann Althouse said...

Both Meade and I had VOTED for Hulsey. Why did he keep running away? If he’d said anything substantive I’d have blogged it and by running away he just gave us embarrassing stuff like what you see here. .

Curious George said...

He's a weird dude. Remember when he was arrested for flipping a kid's innertube and taking photos of him at a Madison beach? I think it was considered disorderly conduct and he plead guilty.

What is Meade’s “stuff” that he claims to have seen? I’ve only seen sunrises and whooping cranes and the occasional photos/videos of our host. Bob Boyd said...

That's right and so is the judge.
If there were local journalists working for a newspaper or a TV station willing to call him and the judge out this kind of stuff, they wouldn't do it, but there's not. It's up to guys with the stones like Meade to do it.

There are many politicians who would drive their bike with their car to near where one has to appear, and then hop on the bike to show up. As show, not much substance. I'm not sure why a TRO was issued here.
