"If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of I.C.E., who are only trying to do their job..."

"I will institute the INSURRECTION ACT, which many Presidents have done before me, and quickly put an end to the travesty that is taking place in that once great State. Thank you for you attention to this matter!"

The idea is not to maximize the confrontation, but to minimize it with the immovable object: troops. Look what happened to the crime rate in Washington, DC, and every other city they were deployed to. They went in with all kinds of hot media talk, executed their mission, and went out with very little fanfare because the success was so remarkable it could not be mentioned, for fear of giving due credit. That's what is needed in Minnesota. Results, not circuses. I want illegals deported, prioritizing criminals and welfare/Medicare fraudsters, and so do the majority of Americans. This is the quickest way to get more of them deported.

Nationalizing of the guard in Minnesota. House arrest of Governor Walz and Mayor Frey (they would be prevented from issuing ANY further statements against the federal government).

Implementation of a curfew and restrictions on protestors gathering in public places. Harsh punishment for violators.

Immediate banking investigation to find the stolen US tax dollars and tie those dollars back to local politicians and criminals such as the Somalis. Rounding up of all those involved for military trials.

Shutting down of the Minneapolis airport so the Somali's cannot escape. Restriction on exit visas.

Suspension of Habeas Corpus in limited ways to prevent Democrats from attempting to challenge in the courts.

Immediate takeover of the police department and DA's office to ensure the justice system functions properly. Appointment of a slew of US Attorneys in the region.

Appointment of a temporary military governor to run the affairs of the state while Walz is under arrest and a new election is slated.

Crushing of the women and the children too.

Drinking wine at sunset while in the distance enjoying the softly wafting lamentations of their women.

Minneapolis is the flashpoint because it always is, but if you watched the press conference that Mayor Frey and Police Chief O'Hara had yesterday, you got the truth of the matter from O'Hara. Minneapolis has 600 police officers, way below what they need to maintain order under normal circumstances, primarily because the idiots throughout city government went on a "Defund the Police" kick after the George Floyd riots.

O'Hara knows he's thoroughly fucked right now, because ICE isn't going to leave until the job is done and the combination of out-of-town agitators (remember, Renee Good was a recent arrival to the city) and the homegrown lunatics are feeling like they can act with impunity, because they know MPD won't (and probably can't) do anything to stop them. The only thing that might slow things down is that we're going to get an Arctic blast over the weekend, which may give the unprincipled principals in this situation to rethink their positions because it will be too cold for the homicidal street theater to get rolling.

Don't fall for the repeated Leftist propaganda that ICE is limited in jurisdiction to immigration crimes. They are sworn Federal LEOs who can arrest anyone committing the crime of obstructing their operations. No other organization is needed. What is needed, if the Democrats truly wanted to cool things down, is the implicit or explicit repeal of the neo-Confederate "sanctuary" laws so the local police can simply turn illegal alien criminals over to ICE when they are arrested or even convicted. Tom Homan has repeatedly made the point that forcing ICE to go door to door to arrest the illegal alien criminals the blue state loonies simply catch and release increases the probability of bad outcomes not just for ICE but for the honest immigrants (illegal or legal) and anybody else who might become collateral damage.

It has also been very ineffective in its stated goal of arresting illegal immigrants and a waste of resources and taxpayer money. There have been a total of 2,400 arrests in Minneapolis since the operation started at the end of November. Given the number of ICE agents involved, that is a low number- about half the average in 2025. If they were in Texas and Florida instead, they would have arrested a lot more.

3000 ICE officers aren't needed in Texas or Florida. I'll wager there are fewer than 500 ICE enforcement agents in Florida, a few more in Texas, possibly. And those are for the entirely of each state. In Texas and Florida immigration enforcement works as it is mandated by law to work. Local authorities, city cops, sheriff's deputies, and state cops (FHP, THP, and the Texas Rangers) arrest illegals and deliver them to ICE for deportation. If the Walz Gang were law-abiding, those 3000 officers would not be required.

There are lots of military base fire departments; Trump can just fly some apparatus and men in. He can limit the deployment to DOD civilian firefighters, so no Posse Comitatus issues. CC, JSM

Quastor,

I agree, no need to be like national Democrat committee man bull con or. That is why I said not to use the hoses to knick them down

It is why I was specific about just wetting them

Big Mike: "My point is that no one can argue when an FBI agent puts his shield and the muzzle of a pistol against the driver’s side window and orders them to turn off the engine and exit the car. There’s no bullshit lie about jurisdiction and scope of authority the crazy women of ICE Watch can hide behind."

You misunderestimate the ingenuity and disregard for the truth wielded as ICE Watch's weapons. They might acknowledge the FBI's jurisdiction, but they will repeat the same crap about not recognizing their uniforms, never having seen their badge before (and the FBI badge is a very odd, tiny thing that's all one color relief - the words etc don't really stand out the way they do on an enamelled badge).

The only thing they might acknowledge as immediately recognizable is the Minneapolis PD uniform. Which will only get deployed over Frey's hogtied weeping arrested body.

And then the Karens will just switch back to ACAB. CC, JSM

All Trump can do is issue executive orders. And take action. Certainly the insurrection act seems appopriate.

But we all know that one of the 700 district judges will then stop it and issue an injunction. Because Far-left Federal judges rule based on their politics.

That's why over 100 injunctions have been issued against the Trump administration in less then 1 year.

Unheard of. But neither the Republicans in Congress or on the SCOTUS are willing to do anything to restore sanity and fight judicial tyranny.

Here is another ruling that will piss off the terrorist supporters.

Are El Salvador's harsh prison conditions torturous enough to avoid an order of removal? No, says Judge Ho for a unanimous panel. Convicted murderers in El Salvador cannot use threat of imprisonment to avoid deportation.

The solution is just for Trump to change the uniforms of ICE agents to brown shirts. That will get across his message in a hurry.

@Big Mike, I agree I misunderstood your point, and should have grasped it. I think john mosby is correct, though. If deprived of the "US Citizen" gambit, the AWFLs will just pivot to their equally bogus "Legal Observer" and "Just Protesting" claims. They are not there to demonstrate the law is unjust in its application by being arrested so the outcome of the confrontation won't change much. They are there to create a scene, keep the crowd riled up, get bystanders to white-knight for them, and produce sympathetic images and sound bites.

They would be far more terrified of ICE as well. Right now they feel free to be pretty damned intrusive.

I still say we give Minneapolis what they want and bus in the murderers and rapists. No need to invoke Insurrection Act. Just send them the people they want there.

From John Hinderaker @ Powerline, it does look like Walz and Frey might be folding

Renee Good was sympathetic but it's hard to gin up much sympathy for three illegal alien men beating on the officer who attempted to arrest one of them.

Big Mike said...

@jobn mosby, when did the FBI change its badge? Back when I worked for them as a consultant the badge was about 3 inches tall, counting the eagle on top. The top of the shield was dark blue, with the letters “FBI” in gold. The badge used to be displayed in a folding leather credential holder that displayed the badge and the agent’s credentials, including the agent’s photo. The credentials include the letters “FBI” in large print. Hard to mistake.

At any rate, I understand that the case law is unambiguous. If the agent announces himself or herself, is wearing the FNI jacket, and displays badge and credentials, the perp cannot just say words to the effect that they didn’t believe it. Cuts no ice with the federal courts.

Trump’s been itching to invoke the Insurrection Act for years. Now that he’s brought civil unrest back into our streets, I’d be surprised if he doesn’t move on it.

He has admitted having other blue cities in his crosshairs and has mentioned something about a Democratic city as a “training ground”.

You are a retard. Trump is the nicest person you are up against.

30% of the country is opposed to Trump.

20% of the country supports Trump.

50% of the country is pissed off that he is letting you fucking traitors steal from us and burn American flags.

Trump is a go along get along deal maker.

He realizes that if he lets Democrats keep acting like this he loses the midterms.

He is being forced to enforce the law. He has always tried to make nice with Democrats.

Again he is working within practical limitations like the Courts ¹latest decision about national guard deployment

At first, yes. If the Democrats hadn't insisted on being raging assholes, they'd have gotten a good portion of what they wanted already and their voting and welfare fraud would still be hidden from the country.

narciso said...

No they wouldnt they have a will to power to dominate

Kakistocracy said...

No, the shame is entirely on the Trump administration for utter incompetence.

First, how stupid do you have to be to announce where ICE agents are going -- as the Trump administration does? That gives time for illegal immigrants to skip town (as many in Minneapolis did) and protestors to organize -- as many in Minneapolis did. That makes it much more difficult for ICE agents to do their job. Since the end of November when this Minneapolis operation began, only 2,400 arrests have been made. That's less than half the average rate in 2025 given the number of ICE agents in Minneapolis.

Second, sending poorly trained ICE agents that don't follow basic rules outlined in their training manuals will result in a flood of lawsuits against the federal government for excessive use of force, false arrest, and a host of other illegal actions.

Moreover, the majority of Americans do not support this according to recent polls -- and that was before the worst of what we've seen in Minneapolis. Opposition to authoritarian brownshirt tactics will only grow around the country, as it should. This is democracy and fighting to preserve it against an autocratic regime. The sooner we get competent government with professional, well-trained people the better. This administration is just the opposite.

The Minnesota insurrectionists should learn from the methods and rhetoric of the peaceful (if enthusiastic) January 6 protestors.

And as I responded to your stupid 'joke' in the other thread, if you want everybody thrown in jail and/or shot like the J6 protestors, I'm all for it.

The problem with these techniques is that they often come home to bite you. **France supported the American Revolution with a lot of techniques for overthrowing a government.**

Huh? The first French Revolution began in 1789, *after* the American Revolution. Per AI: The subsequent French Revolutionary Wars (1792-1802) and Napoleonic Wars saw France spread revolutionary principles and reshape European political boundaries, but this all occurred after 1789, not before.

Re; Jesse Ventura - he was actually the mayor of a Mpls suburb/city for some years, and was very quiet and competent at it, which led to his drafting as governor. He started strong, but the media baited him into a froth and he lost it completely. They had their way with him. Too bad - he was good. Our media in MN sucks.

Oh, good God. Someone who has not a chance in Hell of successfully completing ICE training asserts that ICE agents are “poorly trained.” Maybe you should move on from being an Althouse troll to writing comedy skits for TV sitcoms.
