I was just saying nobody talks about Project 2025 anymore, and Meade said he was just reading about it, so I did a search and came up with that dispiriting Hill headline.
Let's read: "After devastating defeats in 2024, Democrats are closing out 2025 with wind in their sails.... Republicans and Democrats now talk openly of a likely tsunami of wins for Democrats in the 2026 midterms. If true, Democrats better get a surfboard and make plans to ride that big wave into the 2028 presidential election...."
He got that water metaphor going but recommends surfing in a tsunami. I asked Grok to make a list of other metaphors that are as good but bad as surfing in a tsunami. I got things like: "Having barely survived the forest fire of 2024, Democrats now have a raging wildfire at their backs. Better grab some marshmallows and roast them all the way to victory!" And: "After the dam broke and drowned them in 2024, Democrats finally have the floodwaters moving their way. Grab a pool floatie and ride this deluge to glory!"

As long as Democrats hide what they want they have more of a chance.
The problem for Democrats is they think drug running, illegal immigration, war in Ukraine, and high crime is popular.
Fortunately for Democrats Trump hasn't even deported 1 million illegals yet and Republicans in Congress are doing their usual betraying their voters act.
Democrats have not had a new idea since the 1960s. But they do repackage things on a regular basis. Whatever they end up calling 'Project 2027', it'll be the same as everything else they've presented over decades.
Here's the funny part. Half the country will get very excited about it. Like it's something new and shiny.
Ref tsunami metaphors: Jamba Juice used to have a smoothie called the Strawberry Tsunami. It took them a little while to change the name after the big 2005 (?) tsunami. Watching what the Democrats governing Hawaii and California did to prevent wildfires and impede people from rebuilding, after watching Democrats fight fang and claw to defend the Affordable Care Act (which, contra its name, made healthcare less affordable and can only barely function thanks to massive infusions of cash from General Revenues), after watching the Democrats whoop through an “Inflation Reduction Act” calculated to increase inflation, I cannot in all conscience find a use case for Democrats ever being allowed to return to power.

Immigration and DEI are the Dems two poisoned pills. They know they have to change their stance on both, but how to do it without blowing up 1/3rd of their minority coalition.

The 2026 Blue Wave will only appear if Democrat Blue State voter fraud remains in tact. We see currently blue states are refusing to had over voter rolls to the DOJ as requested? Why would any state refuse that request other than to protect fraud. Also we will see if the news on X regarding Venezuela and its centralized location for hacking and Dominion Voter fraud can be defeated. This is probably the REAL reason Trump has a naval armada at their coast. Reports on X are that Elon and his team were able to stop the fraud on 2024 election night for the Presidential election, but not down ballot. If Democrats, with their mostly evil, partly incoherent, platform make a comeback in 2026, the country deserves to go down the toilet. Most important, if the Democrats have a Speaker who is third in line for POTUS, Trump and Vance better go into hiding.
Much as I hope it does not happen, I do expect the midterms to go terribly for the Republicans. The Democrats are feeling very motivated, and many Trump voters are not all that enthused. Plus, many of them only turn out for Trump, not the Republican candidates. Expect multiple impeachments.
DNC "optimism" is mostly bs, used to encourage the base.
One legitimate cause for optimism is that the Dems did relatively well in 2024 given that Harris-Walz was the absolute worst ticket in modern history.
Not to worry though. Any loss to Democrats will be a short term disaster. Worldwide jihad is on its way.

There are structural problems in the Democratic Party that determined them as the candidates and I don't see anybody fixing it.
It is their belief they still control the narrative so the quality of the candidate doesn't matter, it is only the messaging that matters...

Trump is instituting necessary reforms which mean that our country, its soldiers, its cities, its charity toward the weak, its freedom will continue to exist. But every reform creates enemies and every reform takes time, and, what's worse, every reform creates uncertainty as citizens and illegals alike look for their place in the reformed regime. Will the challenged child be supported by the schools or will she be cut off along with lying Somali grifters? Will the old collect Social Security or will they be flung from the rolls along with the 12 million who allegedly were over 120 and still alive? Will the legal immigrant be swept up by ICE because they were standing next to a member of Tren de Aragua? Is there no pathway for the illegals? Even those whose children are serving this country in the Armed Forces and never went on welfare and never gathered to insult the American flag, Constitution and laws are afraid because their whole life here rests on an initial crime. And citizens are afraid because prices are still high althought they are falling.
And all this and more is creating a wave of uncertainty reflected in polling which suggests that the Dems have a chance to do well in 2026. They, of course are slavering like bull dogs on a chain at the thought of getting Pete Hegseth and other reformers. That is their version of a policy proposal.
But 2026 is a ways away. The effects of the reforms will be emerging throughout 2026 - a viable country which is still the home of democracy and freedom; an assured financial base for Federal SS and welfare policies; less crime by foreign gang members - in cities that supported ICE; better schools - where reform was allowed; lower energy prices leading to manufacturing investment and then manufacturing jobs.
And while we wait for the seeds to grow, while we live through the winter of discontent amid the chill winds blown by our enemies, while we wait for spring, summer, harvest - let's think of Tom Paine's words.

I for one look forward to any candidate again getting 81 million votes while suffering early dementia in a home basement. That was an election voting wave similar to those asteroid strike, supervolcano eruption, 300 foot high tsunami doomsday disaster movies so popular a few years back, both in magnitude and unbelievability.

The big state level races in AZ are in the odd election cycle - halfway between Presidential elections. In the last one, that installed a corrupt, cartel supported slate, along with their traitorous former astronaut Senator, the election fraud was extremely visible, and the margins razor thin. Trump won in 2024, thanks, in part to the efforts to the woman he made head of the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division. Who is the one requesting voter rolls from the states, which is being resisted by most of the Blue States. They know why she wants them. Not going to work. The law says that the feds are entitled to them.
