I'm always struck at how attractive a personality Trump can be at times. Contrast that to a dud like Yeb, or a pompous bore like Romney, or the truculent egomaniac John McCain.
At least he didn't call it a "türkiye": that might have caused an international incident. Or maybe he's waiting until Erdogan annoys him to use that joke.

I for one look forward to the completion of thawing of the frozen Riverside Brand 13 pounder in my fridge today and its brining overnight in that same fridge, using an aqueous solution of dark brown sugar and kosher salt, in preparation for its roasting in a Reynolds roasting bag, with exposure outside the bag at the end of cooking for a bit of browning, for crispy skin and deliciously moist flavorful turkey meat. Only a 13 pounder this year, just me & the wife. Should all be gone by Sunday. On to Christmas!

A couple of weeks ago, just for fun I looked at the frozen geese in the meat case at Publix. A regular sized one (about 7.5 to 8 lbs.) cost $155. WTF.
I roasted a goose for a couple of Christmases years ago. Very bony, very fatty, very little meat on them.
I fried my turkey and a duck today in the early morning hours, for the 33rd consecutive year.

A turkey is a remarkably ugly bird, not beautiful at all, and not exactly delicious either. My favorite part of the turkey is ham. Happy Thanksgiving to the first family, to Professor Althouse, and to all of you, too.
No Turkey is above the law, unless of course, you pay Trump off. The corruption is so obvious. He's not even trying to hide it.
