I signed up for BlueSky so I could do a search over there. My search word, "hostages." This was the main thing that came up:
I also saw things like "Now release the Epstein file hostages" and "How about the US releasing all the hostages that ICE has recently taken?"

Boys ‘n’ Gurlz in a Bubble.
The Left never wanted peace. The Left just wants to assert racism and that Palestinians are victims. Trump has shown the US what the Left is really interested in.
"President Biden" secured the release of a bunch of women and children and elders, the hostages whose presence was too difficult to square with "evil Israeli colonialism" - the ones whose continuing privations, starvation, and eventual death would have had the most deleterious effect on the (still inexplicable, to me) generally positive public opinion vibes about Hamas(!). And accomplished nothing else with regard to the conflict.
I'm glad those people made it home! But it's silly to give "President Biden" credit for doing the harder thing.
Meanwhile the autopen funded hamas and hezbollah
Oh, there’s Dementia Joe… checking to make sure he was wearing the same color shoe on both feet.

As is very evident from our left leaning contributors to the chat, they have but one moral position. Oppose to evil right. Anything good the right does is for evil purposes, so do not acknowledge it. All thigs done to oppose the right are inherently good including rape of women and children, murder assassination, etc. Once you understand that, you understand the left.
If a Democrat scored a big win, does anyone think in a million years the Republicans would celebrate. Both sides are just a bunch of petty little cunts and its been that way for a long time.
Keep your monocles in your eye sockets, that's just the way it is. We cheer for our tribe first, and America second.
News reports from former disgruntled Biden administration insiders reveal that the former president was held hostage and not allowed to resign by the Obama faction in the administration that was running the autopen.
This was a magnificent achievement by Trump. It showed his personal strengths more clearly than anything else he has done. We can all disagree as to how he got Netanyahu to agree to it, but he did it.
Remember your Stalin, though. "One dead hostage is a tragedy, a thousand dead Palestinians is a statistic."
🎵Blue days, all of them gone
Nothin' but blue skies from now on🎶
Blue skies, but no more blue days? If that includes no more blue ideas, count me in.
The biggest hostage released by the Trump Gaza deal was BB netanyahu who in careful coordination and conjunction with Hamas started this whole debacle. Now that hideous war criminal will never face the music.
Recall he opposed the hit on bin laden and spent most of his time chastising karzai even sponsored a coup against the latter
While his son grifted for a dozen countries
Each one involved critical resources uranium cobalt
I’m fine with liberals isolating themselves in their own bubble—they embody the opposite of the open-minded, tolerant, and intellectually curious individuals they claim to be.
If a Democrat scored a big win, does anyone think in a million years the Republicans would celebrate.
Let's test that. What are some things you consider a big win for Democrat presidents? It must be something similar to this, not some partisan bill that was passed that the Democrats thought was a win and the Republicans were against. Something that both parties expressed a desire for, but then the Republicans were strangely silent when the Democratic president pulled it off.
It's not our religious state...
Good news! ICE is working to release its “hostages” by repatriation to their home countries or, if not preferred, then to a country that will provide them sanctuary.
There is unaffordable care the inflation increasing act did i miss one
Suck it, DeeDee!
Frankly, Democrats have shown themselves to be mentally ill, so if they were to give Trump credit for anything, I'd view that as a red flag.
Now we have Hamass filmed executing 8 “collaborators”…
Gonna be tough sledding to get to peace without wiping Hamass from the face of the planet.
The collective hive left would suck crook joe's chapstick if they thought their sad emotions could be soothed.
Remember your Stalin, though. "One dead hostage is a tragedy, a thousand dead Palestinians is a statistic."
Our Stalin? He's a communist. Not sure our side ever rooted for communism. As for 1,000 dead Palestinians, I understand Hamas is working diligently toward that goal with Hamas executing rival Palestinians already.
Hamas and the modern democratic party operate with similar intentions.
This is what social media looks like in communist China.
Shorter DD: "I'm a petty little cunt, but it takes one to know one."
If a Democrat scored a big win...
Hasn't happened yet and probably won't. Why ponder stupid hypotheticals with zero chance of coming true when you can celebrate an actual victory?
"Recall he opposed the hit on bin laden and spent most of his time chastising karzai even sponsored a coup against the latter"
This is why it is my personal theory that Biden and bin Laden were working together. That and the Pakistanis defense ministers admission that they had been doing the US's dirty work in terms of terrorism and Brzezinski's admission that we armed, trained, and funded the Islamic takeover of Afghanistan to give the Soviets agita.
BTW, things are heating up again there, how far is Bagram from the Pakistani border, I wonder? (checks) Not that far...
Trump probably can't believe that Biden surrendered a US base that close to the Chinese border, and not that far from Russia, either.
If a Democrat scored a big win, does anyone think in a million years the Republicans would celebrate. Both sides…
Ooooh! Geging into “both sides-ism” already, Echoing Mary Beth, how many decades would we have to go back to find something that was a big Democrat win? And you can’t count wildly misnamed legislation such as the Affordable Care Act (which in fact made healthcare unaffordable without massive subsidies from general tax revenues) or the Inflation Reduction Act (which in fact increased inflation), that was passed only because Democrats l controlled the Presidency and both houses of Congress.
I think we all shared in the celebration of things like the Apollo program, FDR with WW II, Clinton's welfare reforms, getting Bin Laden. Maybe not 100% agreement, because there never is, but the Right has never been unhinged from reality like we see with today's Left.
Has a democrat president ever scored a Big Win like this? Does Carter's Camp David accords count?
Blue Sky is an insane asylum you enter voluntarily, there are no doctors or nurses, no therapy, no help getting better, just other nuts and the internet.
Wright says in his X post: "And what’s even more mind blowing is that this echo chamber is entirely self-imposed. They weren’t banned from X. They left voluntarily, specifically to avoid encountering news or perspectives that might challenge their narrative...."
'Voluntarily', now that queues something up in my mind. A few years ago, most of the population 'voluntarily' lined up to receive shots, sometimes multiple shots, of an experimental treatment that was called a 'vaccine', once they monkeyed around with the definition of 'vaccine'. They did it 'voluntarily', and for many of them, it was true. Those that didn't volunteer, got special treatment: Public shaming, firing, arrest and prosecution, etc etc.
I think it's time that we treat the political divide in this country the same way that some of us have come to perceive and deal with the COVID authoritarian shutdown: The premise is artificial, the mind games are real. Maintaining an environment like BS that actively promotes a form of lunacy is intentional, a focused effort. A lot of people believe what they're told, and do as instructed, and BS is proof that it can be an effective way to manage a herd. It's not 'voluntary', it's more of a passive, uninformed choice of a mind predisposed to believe.
If a Democrat scored a big win that was as near and dear to Republican hearts as the issue of Gaza is to Democrats, then yes, we would. (Looks for historical example...) Never seems to happen, though.
That the Epstein Files continue to be a talking point for the Democrats is astounding. They had control of all three branches of government under Biden and there was nothing about the Epstein Files. Recently I saw the execrable Sheldon Whitehouse trying to grill AG Bondi about Epstein Files containing pictures of Trump with semi clad young girls. Are we to believe that if such pictures existed they wouldn't have been plastered on the nightly news for the past five years?
And it is amazing that Epstein continues to hold a higher priority on Bluesky than the release of the hostages and the Middle East peace settlement. They walk among us don't they?
When your power derives from complaining about broken things combined with your promises to fix them even though you have no history of doing so, any solution that works is a threat to your power, and a repudiation of it.
A better name for Blue Sky would be Flat Earth.
Does anybody really think that the content at BS isn't being actively curated, the 'Search' function tweaked? Is it really possible that, in all of BS, there is no mention of the release of hostages at the end of a bitter conflict that has energized the Progressive Left and motivated them to nonstop protest, worldwide, for the past 2 years?
Just look at what Elon Musk put a stop to, when he bought Twitter, and the Twitter Files story broke, peeling back the depths of perfidy. Those very techniques have had free reign to deploy and be innovated upon, at BS. Same people, smaller market, less investigative confrontation. You know it's happening.
And then answer to your trivia question, the Gemini AI says:
Leaders of the Republican Party broadly lauded the killing of Osama bin Laden as a momentous victory and the delivery of long-awaited justice for the victims of the September 11 attacks. Their reactions, while widely positive about the outcome, varied in the degree of explicit praise given to President Barack Obama.
If you Break from the party line on Bluesky they will hound you out and get you banned. As Susan Sontag once said "We don't need freedom of speech. We have bluesky".
When bin Laden was iced I recall there being much celebration all over the right, although by that time it felt to me a little like a barn door finally being closed.
One needs to give Biden credit. No one loved Israel more than he did. He wore a Yamaka every chance he could, wailed at the wailing wall, and loved that delicious AIPAC cash. IRC, almost 1/2 his cabinet was Jewish, along with his Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff.
Lefties lie.. otherwise, there wouldn't be any lefties
There could be no more tone-deaf people on the planet than leftists living a cushy life in the US protesting 'No Kings' days after one of the most spectacular peace agreements was signed in the Middle East.
And please understand: These are the very same people who protest in favor of Hamas every other weekend but this one.
And as we speak, Hamas is rounding up Gazans who they believe want peace without Hamas running things in Gaza- and are murdering them in public.
The Marxist left is rudderless, without morals, without decency, and way too full of themselves considering these characteristics.
Aggie said..."Does anybody really think that the content at BS isn't being actively curated, the 'Search' function tweaked? …"
Good insight.
Adding to above Dem celebrated accomplishments, rescue of Captain Philips. Would have been better if Biden hadn’t doxxed SEAL Team 6 afterwards, but President Obama deserved the credit for taking action.
They see what is happening in Gaza to those who dared criticize Hamas, and know that their fellow Democrat/BlueSky cult members are just as crazed and ruthless.
Not just Bluesky... there is mostly radio silence from several typical lefty sources
Barack was in office when the military killed Bin Laden. Barak didn’t say ‘lets not be so hasty fellas’. Big win for Democrats. I was happy…

The issue, whatever that may be at the time, is irrelevant. What is important is whether it can be used as a political weapon or not. Democrats couldn't care less about Epstein, Gaza, etc.
So handy to have a social media ghetto for the TDS afflicted.
Why can’t the Dems get (similar) wins in foreign policy? My theory is that, as with most everything else, they exalt process over results. Deals like this would spend years in the State Department, allowing every minor potentate there his say and ability to obstruct. We have been hearing for months how Trump and Rubio haven’t been listening to all the experts, nor have they been going through proper channels. The purpose of the State Department under Dem Administrations is to provide sinecures to as many Dem adherents, and as much USAID money possible to their multitude of NGOs. Definitely not to get anything substantial done.
Add to this that their Hamas wing has grown significantly in power, and would have to be coddled. What concessions would be acceptable to Israel, with an opponent whose only goal is to impose River to Sea hegemony?
I went over to either Bluesky or Reddit last week, and trolled them with "there there, maybe it'll all fall apart. ."
Then hightailed it out.

After all the outrage over Hunter Biden... the GOP is pathetic. No spine. No principals. Sad when MGT is voice of decency and intellect in the new GOP.

I was still a teenager at the time of the Camp David accords, so I don't remember the details well, but I do not recall hearing anything but praise for President Carter and his team.
Since then, I am hard pressed to think of anything comparable that a Democrat got done. Clinton benefited from victory in the Cold War and a world wallowing in peace and optimism for a decade. His intervention in the Balkans war was not as definitive a win, and I recall a little isolationist grumbling from the Republicans, but nothing remotely like the venom that the Left continues to heap on Trump despite this great accomplishment. Obama was a lazy nonentity whose only signature achievement, Obamacare, is falling to pieces, and Joe Biden spent four years drooling into a bowl of ice cream.
Barack was in office when the military killed Bin Laden. Barak didn’t say ‘lets not be so hasty fellas’. Big win for Democrats. I was happy…
Yeah, that one counts, I guess. But he put a lot less sweat and time into it, basically just giving the order to make it happen. There wasn't a word of criticism from the Republicans in the aftermath.
Yes that effort was largely due to kamal adham former? Saudi spymaster and bcci honcho
Well, if RCOCEAN II ever signs up for Blue Sky
at least they'll start talking about the Jews.
RCOCEAN II inspires pro-Jewish commentary wherever he goes. It's a gift. And a curse, apparently.
Blue scream is sort of jeckyl and hyde one minute there are some flowers next minute uncaged rage
For most Democrats and all lefties everything, literally everything, is filtered through the derangement of TDS. We can no longer be taken aback or appalled by this.

FDR/Truman, World War 2

Hayden: "Why can’t the Dems get (similar) wins in foreign policy? ....The purpose of the State Department under Dem Administrations is to provide sinecures to as many Dem adherents, and as much USAID money possible to their multitude of NGOs. Definitely not to get anything substantial done."
The Dems have gotten spectacular foreign policy wins over the years. Probably most of these were congruent with the Foggy Bottom staff's goals, so even if the POTUS was cracking the whip, it was to get them to do things they wanted to do anyway. It also helped that the negotiations really weren't uphill battles with the foreigners involved:
Carter - Egypt/Israel peace - helped that he was dealing with two secular nationalist regimes that were tired of fighting each other when they had pressing internal enemies to fight. Established the Sinai multinational observer entity - always a plus for FB.
Clinton - GATT/NAFTA/WTO etc - just ticking off an agenda item for the globalists. Nobody but Perot and other deplorables were objecting. And of course it takes just as many trade specialists to administer new treaties as it did for the old ones, so FB happy.
Clinton - Northern Ireland peace - really just following the momentum of generational change on both sides: it's not like Blair wanted to keep sending Paras and Grenadiers into the fight. Plus the EU made a lot of the Fenians' complaints moot: I don't know why ethnic separatists want to flee their local tyrants and jump into the arms of the Brussels tyrants, but they do.
Obama: Iran nuke deal - nuff said. And the FB'ers naturally salivated at closer relationships with Iran.
An interesting stealth diplomatic success is Plan Colombia, which spanned both parties. No POTUS really made a big deal about it, probably recalling the 80s. Almost a complete deep-state operation, but willingly funded by Congress in the open.
I think your statement of FB's purpose in life during Dem administrations is completely true if you replace 'Dem' with 'GOP.' And yes, Trump has finally figured out how to thwart them. CC, JSM
Oh yes, left out Clinton/Balkans. Also kind of just joined the parade of European states scared to death of another war. And of course so many new embassies for the FBers! CC, JSM

john mosby @ 11:44: This is mostly satire, right?
Hombre: No, not satire. Now your mileage may vary as to how good or bad any of those achievements are, but they are achievements. Israel and Egypt haven't shot at each other for almost 50 years. You may still have to look hard at unattended bags on the Tube, but you know Paddy didn't put them there. The Iran deal was a steaming pile, but it's exactly the steaming pile Obama wanted. Etc. CC, JSM
Does anybody really think that the content at BS isn't being actively curated, the 'Search' function tweaked?
Aggie at 9:58, thanks for that reminder. The insane people on the internet make me think that people on the blue side really hate the Jews. But in truth, it's a small number of people -- rich people, powerful people -- controlling the airwaves and not allowing pro-Israeli voices on the left to be heard. It's not democratic at all, it's very anti-democratic, the left.
And yes, I agree with you -- many, many pro-Israeli Democrats are being censored on Blue Sky.
Also, I would suggest, there is a far amount of hatred on the left for Israel and the Jews. When you run into one of these people, it's really shocking. And the software is censoring that hate, too.
The software wants to keep Blue Sky "safe" and "nice" and in a place where there are no bad people or bad times. SNL mocks the shit out of Blue Sky, and the left, here.
forgot the link!
Bubble the Blue Sky
Actually, I think Blue Sky saw that skit and was inspired. (Skit's 2017, Blue Sky started in 2019).

Netanyahu may never end up in jail but everyone will know the truth about what he did. If he lives long enough I hope the truth comes out.

Yeah, all the elementary l, middle school, and high school principals are registered Democrats. We do have principles, however, one of which is that peace s better than war.
The democratic party is a heaping helping of corruption and lies.... they have destroyed our nation.
I see that Blinken and others are attempting to claim that Trump has merely piggybacked off of the framework that the Biden administration established. Of course for that to be true the Biden administration would have had to establish a framework in the first darned place, so Blinken et. aI., are reaping (I almost wrote “garnering”) the scorn and contempt they deserve.
Mastodon is extinct?
Like the Snuffleupagus it never got no respect.
I think republicans generally approved when Osama was offed, while quibbling/disagreeing about how gutsy a decision that was to send other people to kill him. The decision by Obama seemed more algorithmic — we can see him, so let’s get him — whereas this latest deal required upending the decades-long assumption that the Arab countries wouldn’t go along unless Palestinian statehood was settled.
If you're an employer recruiting new employees, one of the better markers for a worthless troublemaker is having a Blue Cry account. Only a notch below facial tattoos, nose rings, invented pronouns, and aposematic hair coloring as an identifier of someone who will drop a turd in your company's punch bowl. I no longer make hiring decisions, but if I did, their paperwork would go into the trash unread.
I was glad when Osama was killed. I thought it was odd - but yeah. long time coming.
In the internet era, people have and express opinions about everything. Before that, Republicans didn't suddenly love Carter or Clinton because of their Middle East peace agreements, but they weren't expressing hatred or noticeably ignoring them. In the less polarized times, one could dislike Carter or Clinton, but still be hopeful about the peace process.
In the internet era, there was much relief that Osama was gone. Republicans were a bit stunned that it happened in Obama's term. If they quibbled about anything it wasn't Obama's go-ahead, but Biden's reluctance

It is pretty obvious that the Israeli government and a lot of outside people supported Hamas and kept them in power knowing that Hamas would provide an excuse to make Gaza part of Greater Israel.
The Greater Israel people are not particularly subtle.
Obvious to who? Achilles - you got some sound proof?
eh - you're the flip side of Inag.
Actually giving up gaza got us to where we are today why did they attacks the kibbutzes because thats what they do
Since afula and hadera back in the era of early authority
Thats when they were blowing up bus stops and synagogues
The settlements were the only worthy part of gaza

I am glad that the hostages have been released, and that the ground war has abated somewhat, but I succumbed long ago to caring about MENA problems, particularly involving the two Semetic races. That hatred seems intractable and will only end when one side eradicates the other or the international PTB stops using them as proxies or sock-puppets for their own ends. I only hope that DJT doesn't lock the US into some sort of permanent arrangement where both sides need to be subsidized forever or that they dont spread their violent conflict to the rest of the world. Is that too much to fucking ask?
