How little is "that little man"? The internet tells me Roger Daltrey is 5'6". Ringo is 5'8".

"I’ve never liked the way that little man runs that band."
Said Ringo Starr, about Roger Daltrey who fired Ringo's son Zak from The Who. Ringo is quoted in "Ringo Starr Doesn’t Like ‘That Little Man’ From the Who" (NY Magazine).

EVo Stick glue? what?
Cool young rockers have become grumpy old men and I wish the gossip-news business would just stay away. But Social Media has replaced the publicist and old farts can't help griping. Maybe another old fart John Kerry can intermediate.
Zak was with the band longer than the original animal-style drummer Keith Moon. Can't remember who played bass last time I saw the Who but Zak was drumming and did a fine job.
...Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend “are fuckin’ insane” to work with....
Not exactly a great revelation.
Every band has the same problem of multiple Alphas trying to dominate. People love the gossip.
BATTLE OF THE little menz!
Have a friend who told me he was at 90s era Townshend solo show at the Fillmore in SF where Pete had a guitarist behind a curtain playing most of the difficult stuff. I nearly shed a tear.
Ringo was 5'8" on a good day, back in 1964...
I didn't know that the who hired Ringo's son for their Septugenarian Wasteland tour.
People try to put us d-d-d-down
Just because we h-h-h-hoverround
I have seen both Roger and Ringo in concerts in the last 12 months. Both old men still put on a good show.
Ringo may have been alluding to the fact that, at least in the band's early days, Daltrey allegedly was physically abusive toward Townsend and (presumably) others. He was a bully.
I read, "little," as, "petty". At 5'-7", I prefer the word, "short" to, "little," or, "small" to describe my height. To call a short, petty person, "that little man," is an extra dig IMO.
So Ringo is now the last living Beatle?
Since Paul was mummified, I mean.
That explains so much, Mark…
“Short people got no reason
Short people got no reason
Short people got no reason
To live
They got little hands
And little eyes
And they walk around
Tellin' great big lies
They got little noses
And tiny little teeth
They wear platform shoes
On their nasty little feet
Well, I don't want no short people
Don't want no short people
Don't want no short people
'Round here”
I also read "little" as having nothing to do with height.
Mark is 5 foot 7 inches. So am I. Height matters in life.
On one of my jobs the group's manager was the tallest. When I joined I asked him how the process flowed for the work we were doing. He said he didn't know and I should ask one of my peers. Whatever he was doing every day it seemed to be a one-man project in parallel with what his group was doing.
My group of peers was self-organizing and we got the work done without him. It was the weirdest experience of my career.
It's my impression Pete runs the band. At least when they're on stage.
The Who were a punk band before punk rock was invented. Don't expect polite treatment from punks, nor from people who wear punkishness as a badge of honor.
“My group of peers was self-organizing and we got the work done without him. It was the weirdest experience of my career.”
So it was, “hiho hiho it’s off to work” all of you went?
Roger Daltry is not even 5'6". I am surprised it was he who fired Starkey and not Townsend as Townsend is the one who dissed everyone, including Entwistle and Moon. I always thought Moon was an awful drummer. Starkey was better.
