It was a gray morning here, but Meade was sojourning in the U.P., and he texted me these:

Who among us hasn't taken a little break from finishing out the attic to make some sweet music?

Solid Ghost do it with harp, dudelsack, and hurdy-gurdy--"Prinz Peter bei den Schweinen." Enjoy.

CLAIM: In a May 14, 2025, article, Teen Vogue claimed “gun violence recently surpassed auto accidents as the number one killer of American children.”

I don't think so...

A new report from the Guttmacher Institute, a longtime advocate for legally unlimited abortion, estimates that total U.S. abortions increased in 2024. The report covers the more than two-thirds of states that have not revived or enacted pro-life laws in the wake of the June 2022 Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Altogether, using a combination of survey samples of abortion facilities and historical methods, Guttmacher concluded that some 1,038,100 abortions took place in 2024, a little less than 1% more than occurred in 2023.

So now we know what the "bribe" was when Qatar offered a much newer Boeing 747 version to the US: Qatar was also going to place the largest large Boeing aircraft order in Boeing's history!!!

....wait! Wut? That's the strangest non-bribe "bribe" I've ever seen!

I can only imagine how spitting mad DDDriver and LLR-democratical Rich and Field Marshall Freder and Dumb Lefty Mark and gadfly and idiot LLR-democratical lonejustice must be right now...

Given their record over the last decade or so, I can’t imagine why anyone would buy anything from Boeing.

If true, perhaps these politicians should be shown the door.

If they don’t want to do their jobs, what good are they!?!?

The 787 that they are buying is a pretty nice bird, extremely fuel efficient, and has not had any significant safety issues, to my knowledge.

No one commented about the osprey in IMG_0536, so I will. The bird is mostly in silhouette, but what details are visible suggests a juvenile female to me.

So Drago is dragging his ass into the AF-1 conversation to tell us that he favors violating the Constitution to get Trump a free 15 year old airplane - an airplane that would cost a couple of billion dollars to make into an Air Force One in two or more years. In the meantime, Boeing is on the hook to build two 747-8s with all the bells and whistles needed. The first 747-8 will be done about the same time as the Qarti jobber who nobody has ever known before doing secret AF-1 modifications. We need to remember that Qatar funded the Hamas side of the Gaza war. And there is no need for Trump to lie about non-existent Boeing jet contracts with Qatar. But one thing is sure. The Qatari royals are buying Trump cryptocurrency - more emolulent violations!

Do you even know who modified the current Air Force One? Hint, it wasn’t Boeing.

The nestling for our mating pair of eagles at our sportsmans club have hatched. You can see mom or dad coming to the nest with fish in their talons. The shooting at the trap range doesn't seem to bother them at all. They fly right over us.

No wagers on Preakness again. Triple crown races lost their glitter when DERBY winner sits out. Owners are more interested in not running their horses back in 2 weeks then a TRIPLE CROWN award. Odds too short ,3 Derby runners out of 9 and those others are hardly Grade 1 contenders. I'll find another SPOT and take a look at Belmont where they'll be better wagering opportunities. My wife also sitting this one out. We will fly up to Borgata for a 3 days and stay in our comp rooms and play the Bandits for our 41st anniversary, then possibly head to New York see some friends, that's debatable at the moment. We will stay clear of Newark airport and head to HPN or PBI smaller less confusion.
