The change most people want is a de-emphasis of the progressive left in today's Democratic Party, of people like Hogg.
But I welcome the primaries so we can all see whether Hogg is correct.
I am rooting for David Hogg. The change he wants will not be good for the Democrat party. He wants to oust the moderates and elevate the radicals and further isolate the Democrat party from normal Americans.
While claiming his project is not about ideology, it's about ideology. The below statement is great news for Republicans because this type of shit stain thinks the current crop of geriatric leaders aren't woke enough.

Hogg doesn't get it, does he? The Democratic Party is a business organization whose focus is to enrich upper management, as are the "establishment Republicans."
As long as the Democrat party has David Hogg, it will never run out of idiots. And as someone who is not fond of the Democrat policy agenda, I'm not saying that about Hogg like it is a bad thing.

When I was his age, I was actually dumb enough to think the woman lobbying to stop gun violence at the Georgia General Assembly could be an ally in my own work to keep guns out of criminals' hands and keep violent offenders in prison. Nope: her son had been killed, yet her reaction was to try to empty the prisons and demonize legal gun owners. Hogg pimps his own PTSD after surviving a school shooting to advance the same hard leftist agenda. I bet if his school shooter were a transgender nut or a minority (both actually statistically over-represented as school shooters, serial killers, and violent offenders in general, though you won't read that anywhere) nobody would even know his name. It's all identity politics for the leftist professional political thug class. The DNC is fast approaching 1793, 1918, 1949, 1954, 1968, 1978, 2001, 2014, and 2023, all rolled into one.

Regardless of this career grifter, both parties need to get rid of the old guard. These people who have been in congress for my entire life need to move along. It's pathetic selfishness. They are all rich from it, and have no connection to their constituents or the modern world. Our elections are so rigged that only term limits can clean out the dust balls.

According to Hogg, he didn't go far enough. It was possible to course-correct from Obama, it won't be if Hogg gets what he wants.

In an somewhat related matter, little Benjy Wickler has decided to leave his position as Wisdems Chair at the end of his term later this year...June I think. I don't think he gave a reason, or spoke of future plans. Little surprised Althouse didn't blog it.

There has to be a woman, a black, a Latinx (their term, not mine), an Asian/Pacific Islander, a Middle Easterner, a gay man, a lesbian, and transgender. Plus a token straight white male, which is probably Hogg's role. So at least nine, unless they are doubling up someone.
Wikipedia says that the DNC has four vice chairs. They are a black woman, a gay black man, an Italian-American AFL-CIO guy from Nevada, and Hogg.

We need Hogg and AOC to lead the Democrats! They can run 2028 as the Anarchs v. the Oligarchs. No one outside of a faculty lounge will have any idea what they are babbling about, but it'll be great therapy, kind of like Corey Booker's filibuster about nothing.
