"I told my lawyer, I said, ‘Yeah, I’m not doing that.’ He said, ‘Well, you know, you’ll be in contempt of court’ and this and that."

"I go, ‘OK. Well, how about this? I dare the judge to put me in jail for not wanting to visit [my] abusive father. I actually, I’m gonna double down on that. I double-dare him to arrest the most famous kid in the world."

Said Macaulay Culkin, quoted in "Macaulay Culkin makes scathing remarks about estranged ‘narcissistic’ dad Kit" (NY Post).

Takes one to know one?

Alas, I have to agree with Macaulay on the subject, and apparently the judge didn’t arrest him.

Under what novel legal theory can a competent adult be forced to visit an estranged parent?

As a father myself, I would be devastated and heartbroken if my kids ever did this, but I wouldn't dream of trying to get a court to force them to see me.

Lindsey Lohan REFUSES to visit me..
Mostly because she has no idea I exist.
Can I pay off a judge, to Force her to visit me?

I mean, at least ONE of us would like it

This is the precedent for Trump defying US District Judges. Call it the Culkin Doctrine!

Judges in general need to find out they are not gods.

They do not speak for god and they do not have the final say in society.

It is time for Judges to learn they have to get consent of the governed. They cannot just keep making shit up and demanding everyone listen to them

They will learn this lesson one way or the other.

We've entered the era where Fed judges think they're the ultimate terminator-determinator.

To be clear, that refusal to see his father happened when Culkin was a child, during the custody battle. So the judge ordering visitation rights for the father would not have been unusual.

The theory that a parent still has certain rights over a minor that is their own child. This event happened while Macauley was still a child and before California made it easier for other adults to "shield" children from their parents.

Culkin earns kudos from me for this alone.

"Achilles" is waiting for Hector to kill his gay boyfriend before he takes action against those activist Trojan judges.

In the real world, however, this is an irrelevant article about a child actor that's mad at his terrible father.

I clicked on the link just to find out who the most famous kid in the world was.

Kit Culkin sounds like a name an 1870's wild west trick shooter would have.

I admire anyone with the balls to stand up to a judge if they believe it is the right thing to do.

Did he buy his "narcissistic dad Kit" at IKEA?

"Some assembly required"?
