Another grey Wisconsin day. The worst part of our winter weather. Worse than snow and cold. At least it keeps temps up a bit, Tomorrow brings clear skies, but frigid temps. But I'll take some sun.

"Another grey Wisconsin day." That ended up driving my son out of Wisconsin after six years. Now he is here in NM. He does miss the Farmer's Market and Brats, but he loves the sun so he makes do.

There are many more ways to shoot this scene, Ann.

You seem stuck in a rut. This is a pedestrian way of viewing this scene.

Where is your imagination?

Reckless things that Biden waited three years, and after the election when he didn't have to worry about the consequences to do:

Used "creative" [Janet Yellen's word] methods to steal without a legal basis money from Russia. Further denting the dollar's reputation as a safe store of value, and the Wests reputation as a safe place to invest. What pretext will we think up to steal hundreds of billions from China or India or Saudi Arabia? Who knows? We will see how "creative" we need to be!

Authorized missile strikes by American missiles and British missiles into Russia. Escalating the conflict and making talks more difficult.

Today we did more American missile strikes into Russia. Hooray!

Increased sanctions on Russian oil which he didn't want to do to before the election because it would make inflation worse.

He has 40 more days to throw his tantrum and do his best to undermine Trump's presidency, and any chance for the peace that the American people voted for. He will do more.

The money thing will make it difficult for any settlement to happen, although Russia has hundreds of billions in Western assets frozen as well, from companies that shut down operations in Russia due to sanctions, but it is from private investors that Biden and the Europeans don't care about. The rest of them Trump can reverse just by pointing out that they were part of a tantrum thrown by a senile old man.

When you say "Biden" you don't mean Joe, but the cabal that's running things behind his back.

Clyde's Top 15 Favorite "New" Songs of 2024 - Part 1 of 16 - Preview

One of the joys of streaming music at work is discovering new music that I like. It allows me to find music that is either new or just new-to-me. A lot of the cool stuff I come across has been out for years, but it didn't cross my radar because I was listening to a different type of music at the time. Also, on Amazon Unlimited Music, they added access to Community Playlists this year, so if you find another listener who shares your musical interests, you may discover songs that they like that you've never heard.

As in previous years, I'm going to close out the year by sharing my Top 15 songs that I discovered in 2024, starting today. Over the first five days, I'm going to throw in five honorable mentions that didn't crack my Top 15, and I may throw in some bonus songs on other days as well. The Top 15 itself will start on December 16th.

The rules: To make the Top 15, the song had to have been new to me in 2024, but that doesn't mean that it had to come out this year. Only one song per artist in the Top 15. And the cutoff date was that I had to discover the song before December 10th.

Honorable mentions may get a little more latitude, as I may have heard them earlier in passing, but only really got into them this year. By the time we're done on New Year's Eve, you'll have gotten a chance to hear the new music that was my soundtrack for 2024. I hope that you listen to them and that you find something new that you enjoy as well.

Clyde's Top 15 Favorite "New" Songs of 2024 - Part 1 of 5 - Honorable Mentions

Hoodoo Gurus - "I Want You Back" - Stone Age Romeos (1984)

Last year, seven of the twenty songs I shared with you were released in 2023, and two others were from 2022. This year, it's a little different. Only four of the songs are from 2023 or 2024 this time. I discovered a lot of old music that I had missed the first time around, especially alternative/indie/power pop from the 1980s and 1990s. These songs just weren't the ones I was listening to when they came out, but I played them a lot in 2024.

Hoodoo Gurus are an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1981, and they became popular in the U.S. after playing the college rock circuit in 1984. This year, while listening to various power pop playlists, this song came up repeatedly and it grew on me.

I watched the Dean Martin Show linked to earlier.
In the comments someone mentioned that Joey Heatherton’s career was ruined when her husband was arrested for indecent exposure. I looked her up on Wikipedia:
“In April 1969, Heatherton married Lance Rentzel, a Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, in New York City.[21] In November 1970, Rentzel was arrested for exposing himself to a 10-year-old girl.[22] He pleaded guilty, promised to undergo psychiatric treatment, and was given a suspended sentence. Heatherton filed for divorce in September 1971 and her career lost its luster; some say she never recovered from the psychological shock of Rentzel’s offense.[23] The divorce became final in 1972.[21]
On July 8, 1985, she was arrested and charged with interfering with a government agent's duties and disturbing the peace after she allegedly slapped and pulled the hair of a clerk at Manhattan's U.S. Passport Agency office.[24][25] She was acquitted of both charges in September 1986.[24]
Also in July, she was arrested and charged with theft of services for refusing to pay a $4,906 bill from a hotel and spa in Long Island where she stayed in 1984. She pled not guilty.[26]
On August 30, 1986, Heatherton was arrested for assault in Hillcrest, Rockland County, New York, after she stabbed Jerry Fisher, her former boyfriend and ex-manager, in the hand with a steak knife during an argument. Fisher was later treated at a local hospital and released.[27] After her arrest, Heatherton told police who she was, but they did not believe her. She then handed one of the officers her purse to verify her identity. While looking through it, the officer found a foil packet with less than a gram of cocaine. Heatherton was charged with assault and misdemeanor drug possession. In October 1987, a court ruled that the search was unconstitutional as Heatherton was not advised that she could refuse a purse search. As a result, the misdemeanor drug possession was dropped.[28] Jerry Fisher later dropped the charge of assault against Heatherton.”
Hopefully she’s turned her life around since those tumultuous years.

Nice, Rocco.
The Ohio Supreme Court understands that chickens have bones, and that plaintiff's attorneys will take full advantage of what the law says, if the law says they must not.

This is just another instance where the Democrat's claims that we need to be more like "Europe" are rather selective.

@Dixcus, I assume you mean the unconfirmed reports that Time intends to name Donald J. Trump Its 2024 “Man of the Year “

Even the sort of people who write for Time get it right once in a while.
