Maria Bartiromo prefaced a question to Trump by saying Biden wasn’t sure we’d have a peaceful ELECTION DAY, and asked Trump what he thought (I’m paraphrasing). Trump said that CONCERNING ELECTION DAY he thought the bigger threat was from the “enemy within”, who he described as far left lunatics. He said that they could be easily handled by the National Guard, or by the military if necessary because “they can’t let that happen “.

Trump will be a private citizen on Election Day, with neither power nor authority to direct anyone to do anything. The “they” he referred to would, in a fair reading, be the governors of states experiencing Election Day strife, or maybe the Biden administration. Who else could call out the National Guard?
The far left lunatics he was talking about were, to my mind, Antifa types (who else would be rioting in the streets on Election Day?)

But that’s not what TDS sufferers heard. They heard this as a promise that months after the election, and after inauguration, Trump would use the National Guard and military to round up his political opponents, because he said that Adam Schiff is also a far left lunatic.

I wonder if someone could have no emotions on their own but be susceptible to feeling empathy/the emotions of others/is morally motivated…does an absence of emotions really make a person more violent or apathetic to others? I think in most cases there’s a correlation but I’ve always wondered what it would be like not to be emotional. I think they are very beautiful and I welcome the whole scope of them but also I feel like there’s so many highly emotional people who hurt people a lot..and if that’s true, why can’t a person with dampened emotions be a good person to others? I’ve noticed that times when I’m not emotional but others are that I can help others but idk…the balance is interesting and I think every group of people…whether that be a family or a whole community…needs a wide range of people who process and have different emotions. The issue is that I really think emotional policing is a thing and it’s kind of impossible to tell people how they should and shouldn’t feel and we honestly need crazy people to an extent…. Idk what I’m going on abt rn but like if you know you know I guess…

I seem to remember a surfeit of burning cars, smashed business windows, riots, smoldering wreckage in the streets, and so forth, in November of 2016. Mostly in highly Democrat-prone districts, across the US. Also, people venting in public by screaming to the skies and so on. And then followed by about 6 months of posturing and lawsuits and elector-bullying and cries of 'Unfairness!' and so forth by an army of Democrat politicians, trying to somehow pry out a 'win' for themselves, instead of for the actual election-winner. Was it all a dream? Then, I remember a second round of city-burning riots leading up to the 2020 elections, all of them curiously well-organized and well-supplied with the tools of the riot trade, found neatly stacked on waiting pallets.

What on earth can Trump be thinking, expecting it to happen all over again?

Biden warns Iran, an attempt on DJT's life will be regarded as an act of war, reports NYPost.

Unusually strong from Joe Biden given his indulgence in the cash-for-nothing policy of his sponsor, Lord Zero. This will be greeted with confusion in Iran, where the concept of historical legacy is about as foreign and incomprehensible as our separation of church and state. To Iran's theocrats, history is irrelevant except as a tool to confound and manipulate the infidels. To them, there is no future except what is already decreed by Allah, so Biden's effort to look stronger and more decisive in the eyes of sympathetic historians can only be seen as foolishness. On the other hand, they have been chastised by the United States before without the Americans speaking of war.

Odds are the mullahs will not be deterred. Another attempt on President Trump's life is certain. Whether Biden's warning will become Biden's military response is the real question. He's still the lawful President of the United States, though that may be meaningless to Dr. Jill, Kackles Kamala, and the DNC.

We put 100 US military in Israel, operating a THAAD missile defense system.
Let's look at history to understand this. How to get the British people to fight in the soon to be ignited Great War?

When French General Foch was asked “What is the smallest British military force that would be of any practical assistance to you?” Foch replies: “A single British soldier – and we will see to it that he is killed.” - The Guns of August

And if it turns out that Iran is blamed for a successful assassination of Trump, who benefits? Iran? Doubt it. They will be facing war with the Israel and the United States, which they do not want and can't win.

War with Iran is overdetermined. The kindling is being put in place, it is being doused with accelerants, all that remains is to strike the match.

Does Trump think other countries will just accept the tariffs? Of course they will retaliate, creating a trade war that will make American products hard to export and damaging the US economy.

Trump is not concerned with the outcome of his policies be it trade wars or inflation. He will say anything to give the impression to voters that he will tax foreign products, which is a vote winner.

According the the interwebs. the Alabama plant assembles parts shipped from Germany. They do not manufacture the parts.

Production <> manufacture.

It is quite likely that they do this as a way around the import taxes. Don't know exactly as I don't know trade law, but it would not surprise me that sending in parts would bypass certain tariffs. Trump is likely correct in essence.

Assembly is not manufacture. Assembly does not create the need for a multitude of smaller businesses/jobs in the US to satisfy supply chain neeeds. Assembly does not require advanced manufacturing processes with machinery needing maintenance and upkeep.

And we havent even started on marketing, product management, engineering design, etc.

All of those things are precisely what the New Soviet Democraticals and their globalist sellout GOPe-ers want to give to the rest of the world at the expense of the American workers....while other nations continue with their punitive tariffs on US products while subsidizing the foreign companies so those companies can dump products in the US markets to crush our businesses.

Or as Romney/Schumer/Ryan & McConnell et al would call it: paradise.

Trump is pissed early voting is killin it..Georgia election officials were encouraged Tuesday by the record number of early voters casting ballots in the critical battleground state that faces challenges from Hurricane Helene and litigation over controversial election rule changes.
Over 300,000 ballots were cast Tuesday, the opening day for early voting in the state, Georgia election official Gabriel Sterling announced on X.
“For those that claimed Georgia election laws were Jim Crow 2.0 and those that say democracy is dying…the voters of Georgia would like to have a word. Over 300,000 votes cast today! That’s 123% higher than the old record for the 1st day. Great job counties & voters,” Sterling said.
Earlier in the day, Sterling called the quarter of a million votes cast by 4 p.m. a “spectacular turnout.”
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger wrote in a social media post that Georgia voters “have surpassed all daily records for any day of early voting in 2022.” He added that “Georgia voters are energized!”
“No matter how you look at it, these are huge numbers,” said CNN’s Erin Burnett on her show “OutFront.” She asked veteran Democratic operative David Axelrod to analyze what he saw in the numbers.
Early voting underway in Georgia as judge makes ruling about certification Trump pissed again ,his election stealing takes a hit as certification must happen says the judge,,the Republican plan to stall all certification with ringers in all the states. Think they are hip to it and most likelu trump not calling Governor of Rathensburger again begging for votes, but you never know with him,he is senile and confused ths round.

The Atlantic asks: Is Donald Trump well enough to serve as president?

The question is not temperamental or philosophical fitness—he made clear long ago that the answer to both is no—but something more fundamental.

The election is in three weeks, and Pennsylvania is a must-win state for both Trump and Kamala Harris, but during a rally last night in Montgomery County, northwest of Philadelphia, Trump got bored with the event, billed as a “town hall,” and just played music for almost 40 minutes, scowling, smirking, and swaying onstage. Trump is no stranger to surreal moments, yet this was one of the oddest of his political career.

Last night, he might have been sending a pointed message to himself, with the help of an Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman hit: “It’s time to say goodbye.”

Watched the entire interview. Trump clearly hasn’t a clue about how trade works, how capital flows, or how to how ignorant he appears. He tells anecdote after anecdote unsupported by any evidence. What was actually more disturbing was the reaction of the audience which cheered his every word. The focus of tax reform should be on the demand side not corporate tax cuts. He tried this in his first term and the results were stock buybacks enriching management and a GDP that decelerated to 0 growth in the 4th quarter of 2019 (pre COVID). From a strictly policy point of view his approach is unlikely to do much for most of his constituents.

I don't know where they got their original numbers because D+37 for Hispanics in 2020 is wildly overstated per this from Ruy Teixeira

5. The latest data indicate that the Democratic margin among Hispanics is continuing to fall this cycle. Cook Political Report maintains a database of crosstabs from high quality surveys and finds the average margin for Harris among Hispanics to be around 12 points. That’s an 11-point drop from Biden’s 23-point margin among Hispanics in 2020 (which in turn was a 16-point drop from Clinton’s advantage in 2016).

About the only thing Yglesias noticed is that there's a lot of white people in the US, contrary to popular misconception. How likely is Trump to lose 2% of whites if Gallup is showing R+1 party identification for the first time in over a decade?
