Due to extenuating circumstances, I had about 20 minutes to kill today before my physical therapist appointment. So I checked my usual pro-Trump blogs, many of which I support. What I found most disturbing is how many commentators on these blogs seriously believe that the last 2 assassination attempts on Trump were planned and orchestrated by the CIA, FBI, DOJ, DOD, Harris Campaign, etc. Look, let's be really honest here, if any of these groups, even the Deep State ones who oppose Trump, had any intention of killing Trump, he would have been killed a long, long time ago. Some of the people in these groups are professionally trained assassins. I'm glad they they are, because there are tyrants and demigods in this world who need to be assassinated. But what we are dealing with here are psychologically deranged wanna be assassins. They are dangerous psychopaths. They should be killed. But they are NOT part of some grand Deep State conspiracy to assassinate Trump. Supporters of Trump only hurt his campaign when they insist that this is part of some vast conspiracy.
Donald Trump Suggests ‘Second Amendment People’ Could Act Against Hillary Clinton https://www.cnn.com/2016/08/09/politics/donald-trump-hillary-clinton-second-amendment/index.html
I've noticed that this is a recurring rhetorical technique employed by Trump: say something that at first blush seems incendiary on its face, followed immediately by pulling his punch with a disingenuous "I don't know"--upon which the dog-whistle crowd goes nuts. Then, after the media picks it up, the campaign offers up an "alternative" explanation for the remarks that is the picture of innocence, but has little to nothing to do with what he implied or his audience actually heard.
We've come a long way from 2008 when John McCain corrected a woman in the crowd who called Barack Obama an "Arab" and told her Obama was a decent man and she shouldn't be afraid of him becoming President. We really have lowered the bar for what we expect from our Presidential candidates.
We might have known the truth if they'd administered sodium pentathol or waterboarded him, videotaped the interrogation, and put it on Youtube. But too late now, I guess.

Joe Biden says that Trump is a threat to "democracy and everything that America stands for" He says this because Trump might change policies that Joe Biden supports. That's the real threat to democracy, using heated rhetoric to demonize political opposition, and using single party control of the courts in specific jurisdictions to go after your opponents. Oh yeah, and to make it impossible to know if an election has been fairly conducted by demonizing any attempts to verify votes beyond "recounting" all of the votes with no interest in which ones were cast legally.
This heated rhetoric is the same think that got Fico nearly assassinated in Slovakia, where, because he opposed the EU deep state, the press treats him the same as it does Trump here, even saying, after Fico was shot, that he had it coming, for you know, opposing the policies of the politicians who *lost* the election.

lonejustice writes, "Some of the people in these groups are professionally trained assassins. I'm glad they are, because there are tyrants and demigods in this world who need to be assassinated."
I disagree, not because tyrants and demigods (?) deserve protection, but because assassination rarely changes a political situation to the assassin's liking. In fact, I cannot cite an example of beneficial assassination. Marcus Junius Brutus and the March 44 conspirators murdered Caesar to preserve the Roman Republic, at least that's what he said according to Plutarch. And yet the result was the utter and permanent destruction of his treasured republic. John Wilkes Booth murdered Lincoln in the delusionary belief it would reverse the verdict on the battlefield. In reality, what he accomplished was to clear the path for ruthless and violent men itching to punish the South and appropriate its riches. Reginald FitzUrse and his three companions slew Thomas Becket allegedly to defend their lord's personal honor and to avenge his humiliation at being excommunicated. Their accomplishment: Henry II was compelled to publicly humiliate himself to avoid a papal interdict against his entire Angevine empire in the near term, and hell in the hereafter. The history of assassination goes on and on like this, rebounding on the assassins' causes far more often than advancing them. In WWII, the United States assassinated Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto by intercepting his plane and shooting it down -- a risky and expensive adventure that could have wasted the lives of many highly skilled and aggressive pilots. And to what end? Revenge. America got a heck of a lot of revenge by the time Hirohito finally quit. Did offing Yamamoto significantly increase it? What did assassinating Yamamoto really accomplish? Besides saving him from a war crimes trial, it left thousands of pages of history blank. And nothing else. By the time of his death, Yamamoto's sun had already set. By failing to recapture Guadalcanal, he lost much of the authority due to the C-in-C Combined Fleet but not the title. He was allowed to keep the rank and the public prestige, but the IJN general staff had had enough of his strategizing. They made sure the next Commander-in-Chief left grand strategy strictly to them.
Lastly, assassination is a fundamentally evil operation and thereby more deftly mastered by evil men. The Good Guys are generally ill-prepared to win at that game.

This is how the Democrats rewarded John McCain for his civility. From the Las Vegas Review Journal: “The Republican nominee for president didn’t have the “temperament” to be commander in chief, charged Nevada Sen. Harry Reid, adding that he “can’t stand” the guy. Moveon.org called him “reckless” and “dangerous.” Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., warned that the GOP candidate was a modern day George Wallace and his rhetoric “is playing with fire.”
Aug. 9, 2016 “WILMINGTON, N.C. — Donald J. Trump on Tuesday appeared to raise the possibility that gun rights supporters could take matters into their own hands if Hillary Clinton is elected president and appoints judges who favor stricter gun control measures.
Repeating his contention that Mrs. Clinton wanted to abolish the right to bear arms, Mr. Trump warned at a rally here that it would be “a horrible day” if Mrs. Clinton were elected and got to appoint a tiebreaking Supreme Court justice.
“If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks,” Mr. Trump said, as the crowd began to boo. He quickly added: “Although the Second Amendment people — maybe there is, I don’t know.”

Ohio Gov. Pressure is now mounting on the establishment press to apologize to former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH).
“At least 33 separate bomb threats, each one of which has been responded to, and each one of whom has been found as a hoax,” DeWine said. “So, 33 threats, 33 hoaxes. I want to make that very, very clear. None of these had any validity at all.”

“"I look at action, I don’t look at words," Trump said. "She is really a Marxist. Her father is a Marxist professor. … This country is not ready for a Marxist or a communist."
Trump made similar statements in other speeches. In La Crosse, Wisconsin, he said, "She is in fact a Marxist-slash-communist." In Michigan, he said Harris "is a Marxist, just like her father" and also called her a "fascist."
Ahead of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Trump posted a fake image showing a red-clad female leader resembling Harris addressing a red-flag waving crowd while a communist hammer and sickle flag hung overhead. Weeks later, Elon Musk, the X owner and entrepreneur who backs Trump, posted another fake image of Harris wearing red communist military garb.”
Vance today: "We can disagree with each other and debate with one another but we cannot tell the American people that one candidate is a fascist and if he is elected it is going to be the end of American democracy."
For some reason, another poster chose to post just a portion of Mr. Vance's comment. I'm sure he meant well, pity he didn't bother to either mention the editing he did or the reason he did it.
I have nothing to say about the second attempt. Someone is using disturbed people who can't be traced back to Iran or the Palestinians or whoever it is. Someone's telling them where Trump will be and where there will be an unobstructed line of sight. Someone's getting them Go-Pros and backpacks that can hide a rifle. Someone can't be found by the Secret Service or the FBI. There's nothing to think about; no policy for a citizen to support. So I'm just angry, quietly. Really, really angry. As, perhaps, a Northerner might have felt on April 11, 1861.

Vance is a hypocrite and so is Trump, they can hand it out but they can’t take it.
Maybe you could point out where Trump's rhetoric has led to multiple attempts on Kamala's life.
He [Trump] appears to believe that labelling his opponent a communist is something like a magic formula for winning an American election.
Whereas your magic formula is shooting them.
Melania’s book, still on pre-order, remains in the top 25 in Amazon sales. Right it’s 23. Poor Bill Gates, whose book is also on pre order, is ranked 55,878. In fairness, his book doesn’t come out till next year.
Right now
Fascists put their political opponents in jail.
How many of Inga's hoaxes have been debunked, just in the past few days?
The bigger question is whether she is just really stupid or just really nuts.
OK. I know. I should embrace the power of AND.
Like chewing on a pencil eraser based on my experience in Orlando30 years ago.
Weak sauce, Inga. You’re fast running out of lame excuses. Time for some reflection on your part. Change your evil, malicious ways before it’s too late.
C’mon, Mike. That’s going way over her head.
Bingo!
“The bigger question is whether she is just really stupid or just really nuts.”
The result of smelling bed pans for 40+ years.
Progressives have been coming out and just stating it as their truth. Sure, "SOME" people will say she only misspoke, but her intention is clear.....and we ALL know it.
"This writer does think it fair to mention that based on the chyron on the video, this is an older statement, but it also bears noticing that while the Left keeps calling out Trump for his 'incitement,' they never point out their own."

BREAKING: FBI admits Trump sh**ter Ryan Routh has been on their radar since 2019.

Locally, every third ad on TV is for sports gambling, so I hope these guys don't get hooked on something else that's damaging.
Only if they can't throw them in prison with their hate and lies.
The Irish Rovers got it right:
You'll see green alligators and long-necked geese
Some humpty-back camels and some chimpanzees
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born
But you're never gonna see no unicorn.
No stupid threats should have ever been made against legal immigrants and no one has been arrested - but Routhe, who never fired a shot at Donald Trump was. Routhe was charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, so he had a ghost gun, which is currently not a part of current firearms rules as a result of a federal court decision.
"The Trump Rapid Response team emailed out numerous times the Democrats and media used “incendiary rhetoric” against former President Donald Trump.
“Thankfully, the would-be assassin was stopped by the heroic action of law enforcement — but make no mistake, this psycho was egged on by the rhetoric and lies that have flowed from Kamala Harris, Democrats, and their Fake News allies for years,” wrote the team."

Flashback to Lincoln Project cofounder Rick Wilson in 2023:
"They're still going to have to go out and put a bullet in Donald Trump."
The mainstream media has the audacity to say that Trump's rhetoric incites violence.
Comment at Legal Insurrection that I would believe more than ANY Propaganda media site.

BREAKING
doj is now indicting President Trump for refusing to get shot by their assassins.
The difference being, that the bomb threats were hoaxes. 33 of them. Progressives owe Trump and Vance an apology. AGAIN. For lying, for spewing hate and lies, and for inciting violence. THEY are the
Domestic Terrorists they have been talking about. All they need to do is look in the mirror.

The media is now simultaneously arguing that cat memes are responsible for bomb threats in Springfield but the entire Democrat Party making it central to their campaign that Trump is an existential threat to the country has no correlation with people trying to kill him.

If you follow twitter at all, you would see how Mark Cuban is always getting reamed for being as ignorant as you can be and STILL be a billionaire. TDS broke his mind.

June, 2016. Mark Cuban says that if Hillary chooses Elizabeth Warren for VP, he will most likely vote for Trump.
"Taking it that far left would be a huge mistake."

Now Cuban shills for Kamala, probably the most liberal and radical nominee in American history.
According to T-Mobile when contacted by federal agents after the fact, Routh spent almost twelve hours at the chainlink fence from 1.59 AM until 1.31 PM on September 15 but his phone was inactive on Sunday. The morning crew of illegals working at the Trump International golf course must have slept in, while he camped out.
Remember the Pakistani man with ties to Iran, Asif Merchant, who pitched someone in the US — (referred to only as Confidential Source) in July with an opportunity to earn $100,000 to assassinate a political figure in the US? Too soon to know, I suppose.
Trump ordered the assassination of an Iranian General on January 4, 2020, when a US drone strike on Baghdad airport killed Qasem Soleimani.
Majid Takht Ravanchi, Iran’s ambassador to the UN, said that the attack was “tantamount to opening a war.” There will be revenge, he said.
That's what you find the most disturbing? That? Not the leftists who are blaming Trump for the actions of the shooter?
I find the attempted assass***tions most disturbing.
Who should be our President:
a) a candidate nobody voted for but who took the nomination?
b) the candidate they've tried to murder twice?
Inga today is like reading Hitler explaining how she is different than Mussolini and how that’s a good thing.
Jesus, gadfly. Your whole life is a non-sequitur.
The simplest answer is usually the best answer. Look no further than the DNC. They are the ones whos power is directly threatened.
Thanks for this enlightening reply, Quaestor!
One reason I'm hestitant to engage her is that she has never had a thought that hasn't been someone elses first.
Those are the people I want to come here and debate. If they are capable.
Good summary of Yamamoto's role at the time.
More mush from the dullard.
Other than the fact that her policies look communist, what is your argument? I know she is trying to hide them but the are leaking out.
"And" is a pretty good estimate.
He ain't wrong.
Where is Freder?
