When the prosecutor Fani wanted to take the lead in the Trump case declined, Fani probably thought, this case is not going anywhere. And she turned it into what Washington calls a junket.

From the first time I heard to word "junket" used that way: "Reaction to Wilson’s whistleblowing was intense, and he came under heavy fire, accused of political bias or incompetence. A furious vice-president Dick Cheney asked in a White House meeting whether Wilson’s wife “had sent him on a junket”." - job chargeable.

Otherwise, we are talking collusion, that she was getting instructions from somewhere. And so far, we only have a trip lover Wade made to White House in DC. And in today's anti-Trump climate, A Wade meeting at the White House is not evidence of anything.

How many Americans are in Haiti? Does anyone in the Biden administration know? Does anyone in the Biden administration even care? Do they have a plan for getting our citizens out? Why not?

Maybe someone in the Biden White House should call Donald Trump (or better yet, Ron DeSantis) for ideas.

So, Don Lemon worked out a deal to enrich a platform that peddles "hate speech"?

Now is a good time to revisit precisely why Musk and X stepped away from any "deal" with Don "what's that Lassie? A black hole swallowed an airliner?!" Lemon.

Lemon's hilarious list of absurd demands:

-A free Tesla Cybertruck
-A $5M upfront payment on & an $8M salary
-An equity stake in 𝕏
-The right to approve any changes in 𝕏 policy as it relates to news content
-A private jet flight to Las Vegas
-A suite for him and his fiancΓ©
-𝕏 pay for their day drinking and massages

And now lets recall LLR-democratical Rich's immediate response to the announcement, by Lemon, of the failed "deal" (spoiler: it was never a deal):

LLR-democratical Rich: "Dumb enough to do a handshake deal with Elon Musk is pretty dumb.

The habit of referring to Presidents, and their administrations, by three initials, appears to have begun with FDR. Most historians will say that the two greatest Presidents were Washington and Lincoln. But who knows their middle initials? Not I, and I Grant you liberty to regard me as the living epitome of an educated American citizen. Apres moi ...

After Roosevelt, we have HST, DDE, JFK, LBJ and RMN. At which point, the habit seems to have lost steam. Ford? Carter? Reagan? Bush? His Shitfullness? More Bush? More Shit? I suppose that DJT marks a return, but DJT was never as iconic as FDR or, perhaps most recognizable, JFK. And, sadly, his murderer, LBJ. LBJ, like a brand, burned into the flesh of a nation.

But now we encounter an intriguing vagary, a new thing under the sun; a triad of consonants referring, not to a President, but rather to the ramshackle junta constructed around the vacancy where no President can be found; the FJB regime. Of course, the Vegetable in Chief's middle name, affixed, no doubt, upon the occasion of his baptism into the Church in which he is a living exemplar of grotesque blasphemy, is Robinette. The middle initial of the wretched thing, therefore, is R, the eighteenth letter in an alphabet visibly sickened by the shameful thing to which it is made to refer. That would lead, by a logic so simple that even Doctor Jill might be able to follow it, were it spelt out with colorful wooden blocks, to JRB. But this regime is not the "JRB regime". This collection of venal, doltish perverts and criminals is the "FJB regime". And I note, with grim satisfaction, that this contemptuous designation is becoming more and more common. FJB! FJB! FJB! Such enthusiasm. Was this a great country, or what?

In a bombshell announcement, which took nearly three years to come out, former State Department official Richard Armitage on Sept. 7th 2006, publicly admitted that he was the first to leak the identity of Plame to reporters. Though Fitzgerald knew that, he chose to keep it secret.

Despite Armitage's admission, Special Prosecutor Pat Fitzgerald, for the small price of $1.5 million, charged and convicted Cheney aide Scooter Libby with the crime of perjury and obstruction of justice related to the leaking of the identity of Valerie Plame who worked in the office at the CIA. In 2018, Trump meaninglessly pardoned Lewis Libby for his 2007 sentencing after Scooter had already served his time.

Ireland had a referendum on updating and wokeifying the current constitution which now reads

The state recognizes the family as the natural primary and fundamental unit group of society, and as a moral institution possessing inalienable and imprescriptible rights, antecedent and superior to all positive law.

The state pledges itself to guard with special care the institution of marriage, on which the family is founded, and to protect it against attack.

The voters rejected any update.

“The Biden Justice Department continues to claim presidential privilege to block release of its strategic plan to turn out the vote, although at least two other federal agencies have made their plans public. In defending a lawsuit under the Freedom of Information Act, the Justice Department is keeping under wraps its plans to implement President Joe Biden’s 2021 executive order, under which most federal agencies are required to develop a strategic plan for increasing voter participation in elections.”

Another high-speed rail boondoogle. Brightline want so build a 218-mi bullet train from Cucamonga, California to Lost Wages, I mean Las Vegas, along the I-15 right of way. The Biden Crime Family regime is ponying up $3.5B to support it.

That train line has to climb Cajon Pass to reach the high desert. That's a climb to 3,777-ft MSL. Snoqualmie Pass is 3,000-ft and Stevens Pass is 4,000-ft. The BNSF RR dug a 7+ mile tunnel under Stevens Pass to avoid climbing all the way to the pass. That tunnel limits the number of trains a day to about 20 because of diesel fumes.

My prediction of total cost of the line will be $0.5B/mile, or $109B total system cost.

Most people don't know what great archer Biden is. Here's an excerpt from his interview with Hur, ref. pg. 46; PRESIDENT BIDEN: You know, I went to Mongolia and, and great
pictures.
And so they walked over and they had a target with
bales of hay a hundred yards away, and these guerillas were,
you know, taking shots. And I think -- I don't know if it
was to embarrass me or to make a point, but I get handed the
bow and arrow. I'm not a bad archer. But (indiscernible
00:57:12.9) where I can pull it back, so I -- and pure luck,
I hit the goddamn target.
(Laughter)

Pg. 47 - PRESIDENT BIDEN: No, I really did. Bales of hay
that were, like, 20 bales of hay with a big target in the
middle of the bale of hay. And so I didn't mean anything by
it. I turned to the prime minister and handed it to him and
the poor son-of-a-bitch couldn't pull it back. I was, I was
like, oh, God.
(Laughter)

What a he-man.:)

@Jupiter: The habit of referring to Presidents, and their administrations, by three initials, appears to have begun with FDR.

This apparently happened because FDR followed Teddy Roosevelt a generation prior -- they had to distinguish between them. The 20th Century news media were fully in bed with government and put out patriotic propaganda that wasn't recognized as such until much later. The media created the FDR brand in hiding his polio (and elitism) and created JFK's brand by hiding his numerous affairs and polio, but their branding efforts broke down with LBJ. They wanted his social welfare Great Society, but hated his Vietnam actions (and likely hated his backroom bullying and anti-Black racism). Then, they tried to forget LBJ by blaming Nixon for overlapping responsibilities.

The media lost most of its patriotism with Vietnam, but maintained strong branding power until recently. They lost all pretense of objectivity and balance between the GW Bush ("warmonger and Cheney puppet") and Obama ("do no wrong saint") administrations. Then they became open political advocates against Trump, and this resulted in your hostile FJB paragraph. Sadly, much of the FJB content could be applied to earlier USA politicians such as JFK and LBJ. Politics attracts a certain type of person...

Legacy media (aka "mainstream media") messaging was mostly accepted by conservatives until Trump. Now, old media just speaks into echo chambers and screams their disgust for the other guy. We live in interesting times.

Verbatim from journalist Jazz Shaw:

“It’s been almost a month since Boeing whistleblower John Barnett was found dead in a car outside of his hotel in Charlotte, South Carolina. He died of a single gunshot wound to the head and was found with a pistol in his hand. Authorities tentatively attributed the death to suicide. But friends and family members, along with some investigators are raising doubts about that explanation. Barnett had been in the midst of testifying as part of a lawsuit against Boeing over safety shortcomings at their production facilities. A close friend recounted a disturbing conversation earlier this year when he said that he could potentially wind up dead because of his whistleblowing activities and that if anything happened to him it would not be suicide.”

You went to that well a few times too often, Democrat dumbshits.

Hundreds of truckers wait in long lines at Georgia USPS distribution center

"Truckers are reporting long lines and hours of waiting at a Georgia USPS distribution center.

For weeks now, major delays have been reported at the United State Postal Service (USPS) Atlanta Regional Processing and Distribution Center located in Palmetto, Georgia.

On March 14, Atlanta News First reported lines of trucks backed up a quarter of a mile at the Palmetto USPS center, with some truckers telling the outlet that they waited six or even eight hours to enter the facility.

[snip]

The USPS responded to complaints of problems at the facility, but did not provide an explanation for the delays: “While a vast majority of mail in the Atlanta area is being delivered in a timely manner, local management has been made aware of the concerns of some local customers regarding their mail delivery and are working quickly to resolve any issues.

Amtrak already uses existing tracks up through the pass. We've ridden it both ways and there are no tunnels; but between two passenger runs and all the freight traffic, they would have to add another track at the very least, and the expense/logistics of building it would likely exceed the 3.5 B, not including any featherbedding.

Amusing bit of news for 'tim in vermont':

A man is suing the Russian Foreign Ministry for calling him a Ukrainian neo-Nazi. Does he object to being called a neo-Nazi? Not at all. He admits that, and is proud of it. The slanderous falsehood was calling him Ukrainian. He's a patriotic Russian neo-Nazi (link).

And speaking of patriotic Russian neo-Nazis, in not-at-all amusing news from the region, today is the two-year anniversary of the bombing of the Mariupol Drama Theatre. Somewhere between 300 and 600 women and children were killed. No one will ever know because the Russians bulldozed the site afterwards, and hauled away the debris, to make it impossible to collect DNA evidence. There were two chalked signs outside saying "CHILDREN". Last year a Russian journalist got six years in prison for publishing information about the bombing. But don't you dare compare Putin's Russians to Nazis!
