Mike Lawson's Joe Demarco thrillers came out with a new one, apparently there are 17 of them though Amazon doesn't seem to organize them well and this is number 17, distinguished by being read willingly instead of just as a time passer, as if a lingering curiosity arose about them.

Once you finish 16 you start having to wait a year for another one.

Winning the Cold War may have been the biggest fiscal mistake the USA ever made. Since then, we have spent (are spending) trillions on wars of choice and proxy wars. At least for most of the Cold War, the US congressional-military-industrial establishment had some sense that we needed to keep our powder dry. Since 1989, the fall of the USSR unleashed the neo-con and neo-liberal globalist fantasies from all strategic and fiscal restraint. Public-held US debt is now projected to equal 116% of GDP in 10 years, a level not seen even after WWII.

This is one of those nights on Twitter that makes me want to delete the app just because it's so addictive.

Macron cancelled his trip to Kiev due to "security concerns" Raising many questions. When you think about it. what kinds of concerns could there be? The Ukrainians? Who else could it be?

https://www.challenges.fr/politique/emmanuel-macron-reporte-son-voyage-en-ukraine_883270

Then there is a snippet out on Twitter of what purports to be French TV quoting a French security source claiming that France intercepted messages regarding an attempt to assassinate Macron by Kiev, to be blamed on Russia because Ukraine needs to get the attention of the world back from Israel.

It seems far fetched, for sure, but if they plant a bomb and take out both Zelensky and Macron, and blame it on Russia, who would question it? Zelensky fired the nazi general and he has been putting pictures out of him posing with his Right Sector friends. I can see them wanting Zelensky gone, and Macron is just a pot sweetener to unite the world against Russia.

This is all just wild speculation, based on the bizarre fact that Macron was worried about his personal safety in Kiev.

"...the US IC asked the “Five Eyes” intelligence alliance to surveil Trump’s associates and share the intelligence they acquired with US agencies, say sources close to a House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HSPCI) investigation. The Five Eyes nations are the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

After Public and Racket had been told that President Barack Obama’s CIA Director, John Brennan, had identified 26 Trump associates for the Five Eyes to target, a source confirmed that the IC had “identified [them] as people to ‘bump,’ or make contact with or manipulate. They were targets of our own IC and law enforcement — targets for collection and misinformation.”

I'm listening to what's supposed to be local North Korean broadcast radio, which is repeated on shortwave 11680 kHz, I guess for homesick North Koreans. It's always been music and time signals on the hour so far. It faded in at 11pm eastern time. I've been sort of monitoring the frequency all day to see if it turned up.

Trump doesn't even understand that NATO does not bill members to support the treaty.

Three huge new LNG Ports have been completed to enable significant increases in LNG shipments just as fast as we can build new supertankers. This LNG will replace discontinued Gazprom-supplied natural gas. Qatar has also begun supplying LNG to Europe.

Of course, the nutsy thing is that Europe and the British Isles have significant quantities of frackable gas and oil that they refuse to access because they think that so-called pollution is worse than freezing to death.

So is Brennan going to be the old geezer sympathetic mindless idiot that the jury will love, or will the title fall on Obama.

This is quite the trick! Obama can’t surveil US citizens, so get the Brit’s and Aussies to do it, and then they will leak the goods to Obama. Deep deep evil lies here.

Menendez has not yet said if he'll seek reelection even as he has pleaded not guilty to federal charges that he took bribes in exchange for helping foreign countries. He's vowed to fight the charges, though many of his fellow Democrats have abandoned him and some have said he should resign.

BM is playing the delay game, just as Trump has done in court his entire life. But he cannot beat the charge that covers his failure to register as a foreign agent despite receiving gold from Egypt in exchange for exclusive rights to sell halal meat.

LOL, there is more on the scheme to assassinate Macron by the Ukrainians from more sources.

https://twitter.com/StubbornFacts/status/1757712075890045315

It seems that two of Macron's security advance team were shot to death in a car near Odessa, where they were working on a false flag provocation to blame on Russia in order to get the funding passed and get Kiev more weapons. There deaths were blamed o a Russian drone strike.

If they could convince the world that Russia killed Macron, they could draw NATO into the war, which they are currently losing badly. They could also counter the Putin interview by painting him as a bloodthirsty and murderous fiend.

There is also, take it or leave it, a "leaked" conversation, supposedly leaked by the recently fired general who was overseeing the whole war effort to sabotage the operation, which he viewed as even more reckless than usual. There is no doubt that a power struggle in Kiev continues.

https://twitter.com/GeromanAT/status/1757709225373938151

If it's some kine of operation by the Russians to make the Ukrainians look bad, it's pretty thorough.

Regarding CIA (and FBI) monkey business against Trump, go back to the 1960s and review the Kennedy and MLK Jr. stuff. See discussion of magic bullets and rifles with the wrong barrels for the bullets fired. See the USA's regime change efforts all across Latin America. There are no new allegations here, but the allegations do seem more credible as patriotism and national unity declines.

Spies speak out both sides of their mouths as a course of business, as friends become enemies (e.g., Venezuela, Afghanistan, China was our 'friend' when it fought the USSR) and enemies become friends (e.g., UK, Germany, Japan, etc.). The totalitarian-minded deep state of J. Edgar Hoover took over DC with J. Edgar Hoover and that culture never left DC.

Another green policy backfire:

California's plastic bag tax has increased the weight plastic bags thrown away by almost 30%.

Since bag taxes were enacted, plastic bags have been made thicker to qualify as being "reusable."

But consumers discard them anyway.

So Californians are being taxed to create more plastic waste.

Santos was so crazy that having any sane person to replace him is a vast improvement. So every time sanity wins, it is really a win for all of us. We don’t need all of that chaos and drama anyway. Democrats keep winning despite the 'Biden is too old' brigade predictions. As I’ve mentioned before—Biden is terrible at everything, except for the part that he keeps winning.

This has always been clear.

The rule says no spying on US citizens on US soil. But there is no law on asking Israel, or the UK or Italy, to spy on us citizens.
The whole event to get Popadopolus to London to present a paper at a conference was all spy craft. He was wined and dined and a female operative was employed but failed to lure him in
While in Israel, a CIA operative impersonating someone seeking his services gave him $10,000 cash retainer. George smelling a rat, handed the money off to his Attorney in Israel. Wise, because when he landed in DC the FBI was their to detain and search him for the cash.
Also the phony FISA warrant gave the govt the power to spy on the target, AND two hops. So who ever the target contacts, PLUS who ever those people contact. Almost positive that got them directly to Trump and all his advisors.
Lastly, A FISA renewal, requires the FBI to swear, the renewal is needed because it is still producing actionable intel.

The corruption is jaw dropping.

House Intel chair calls on Biden to declassify details on ‘serious national security threat’

"House Intelligence Chair Mike Turner (R-Ohio) made a cryptic call for President Biden to declassify information about a “serious national security threat” to allow for public discussions about how the U.S. should respond.

The ranking member on the panel, Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.), however, cautioned the matter was not one of great urgency and that “people should not panic.”

“Today, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence has made available to all Members of Congress information concerning a serious national security threat,” Turner said in the statement.

“I am requesting that President Biden declassify all information relating to this threat so that Congress, the Administration, and our allies can openly discuss the actions necessary to respond to this threat.”

Late Tuesday, Turner sent a “Dear Colleague” letter noting the committee voted to make information about “an urgent matter with regard to a destabilizing foreign military capability that should be known by all Congressional Policy Makers.”

Lawmakers are invited to the committee’s sensitive compartmented information facility space to review the information over the rest of the week, according to the letter obtained by The Hill.

Turner, who often sends statements in conjunction with Himes, did not do so Wednesday.

Himes held back criticism of Turner but said, “Thanks, Mike,” when a reporter noted the panic being caused by the statement.

“Look, Mike is right to highlight this issue. But it’s so sensitive that [we’re] right now not publicly discussing. And I don’t want people thinking that, you know, Martians are landing or that your Wednesday is going to be ruined. But it’s something that the Congress the administration does need to address in the medium to long run,” Himes said.

During a White House briefing Wednesday, national security adviser Jake Sullivan said he was “surprised” Turner sought to go public with the information while the White House was organizing a briefing.

“I reached out earlier this week to the Gang of Eight to offer myself up for a personal briefing for the Gang of Eight and scheduled a briefing for the four House members for tomorrow,” Sullivan said.

“All I can tell you is I’m focused on going to see him, sit with him as well as the other House members of the Gang of Eight,” he added.

“This administration has gone further and in more creative, more strategic ways dealt with the declassification of intelligence in the interest of the United States than any administration in history.”

The offices of Senate Intelligence Chair Mark Warner (D-Va.) and ranking member Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
