She wouldn't have to do squat to win, nor to preside. Barack would be the defacto prez of course, maybe with even a high official appointment (Sec State or some such). All she would have to do would be to go to work every day - well, wait, no, that tradition has been discarded by Biden, hasn't it - and to smile at poobahs and carry on insipid conversations with them.

This is the stuff of nightmares. It is merely a matter of her whim. If Mooch wants the nomination, it is hers for the asking. When she gets it Democrats will vote in huge numbers and hero-worshiping women and independents will pour out of the woodwork to vote for her. And she will be elected in a landslide and will have long down-ballot coattails. The Republicans will be wiped out. And of course the last gasp hope for the salvation of America will be extinguished as well.

I think the notion she "wants to run" is BS. She might want to be President by appointment, but if she wanted to run, she should have started months ago. Not only to raise money and truly gain interest, but because the mechanics of running in the primary has already started and nearing an end. She can certainly push to replace Biden at the National Convention without running between now and then. I hope she does this just for the chaos and popcorn benefits.
