Trump doesn't require a pardon. Bird Brain is too bought and paid for to admit that.

Really? She doesn't realize or accept we are not moving on from Trump, at least in 2024.

Mr Wibble said...

Nothing about whether his prosecution is unjust, nothing about the abuse of the legal system, just the hope that he goes away and the GOP goes back to pretending that it's still 2004.

Michael Fitzgerald said...

Pardon him for what? Haley is another GOP establishment loser waving whichever white flag democrat party members hand her.

Mike (MJB Wolf) said...

What a stupid echo of leftists she can be. What’s “dividing our country” is the lack of representation in government of the people who prefer freedom over tyranny and Haley by her own words never supports freedom but often sides with tyranny. As this quote today clearly illustrates.

Big Mike said...

Not at all! What's in the best interests of our country it absolute exoneration.

She is an idiot. She makes Sarah Palin look like Bismarck. Sarah Palin was a successful governor whose words were twisted out of shape by the media, if the media gave her 1/10th of the respect and 1/50th of the benefit of the doubt that they are giving Haley, she would have been a two term president.

Haley is just there to assure that the Ukraine war continues to the "last Ukrainian," and with luck, maybe we can have war with Iran, too.

Aggie said...

Is it really Trump doing all this dividing? My goodness, the power that man has.....

Of course, Niki would never dream of trying to taint her competitor.

MSNBC - LOL.

NBC can F off.

Wince said...

Looks like the left-leaning media's attempt to elevate Haley in recent weeks in order to collaterally attack Trump really seems to have hurt only Nikki Bird Brain.

Joe Smith said...

Wait, so it's Trump who is dividing the country?

Not "Ultra Maga' Biden, who rails against half of the nation nearly every day.

Who uses the power of the government to pick winners and losers and pits the races and sexes against one another like Obama did before him?

I'm glad I now know that it's Trump's fault...

rcocean said...

She's so Goddamn lame. Haley represents everything wrong with the Republican Party establishment. The Democrats are outrageously trying to destroy and jail an ex-POTUS on bogus charges. They're trying to keep him off the ballot. They're trying to interfer with the election and get Biden 4 more years through lawfare.

The DOJ has behaved like Biden's mafia "Mouthpiece" and not a non-partisan Department of Justice.

And what is Haley (and GOPe's response)? Its not to attack Biden. Its not to get outraged over this insane break from tradition and norms, its to accept it! And mew about "Moving on" and "Well that's tough from Trump - maybe we should pardon him". Well Biden wont pardon him. So, who is Haley talking about?

Haley, like all of GOPe, wont fight the Democrats. She has no loyalty to the GOP voters. She only has loyalty to the Big Donors and the Uniparty. If I want a Democrat, I'll vote for a Democrat. Not some Democrat lite, who poses as the fake opposition.

We need an oppositon party. Someone who will fight the Democrats and the Left. And that aint Haley or Christie. Maybe DeSantis will fight if someone could get him a pep pill.

Precedent?

"Proclamation 4311 was a presidential proclamation issued by President of the United States Gerald Ford on September 8, 1974, granting a full and unconditional pardon to Richard Nixon, his predecessor, for any crimes that he might have committed against the United States as president. In particular, the pardon covered Nixon's actions during the Watergate scandal. In a televised broadcast to the nation, Ford, who had succeeded to the presidency upon Nixon's resignation, explained that he felt the pardon was in the best interests of the country and that the Nixon family's situation was "a tragedy in which we all have played a part. It could go on and on and on, or someone must write the end to it. I have concluded that only I can do that, and if I can, I must."

n.n said...

There is nothing to pardon. J6 was a Whitmer conspiracy to undermine the Republic, progressive denial of civil rights, celebration of murder, and JournoListic cover-up of the bodies.

MadTownGuy said...

I should add that if a president from either party would issue a pardon, it would automatically torpedo any chance of reelection, based on Gerald Ford's experience. OTOH, it might leave the door open for another Trump run...

MSNBC - LOL.

Benefit of the doubt goes to Haley.

Sebastian said...

"Haley, like all of GOPe, wont fight the Democrats."

Right. And that's how you get more Trump. Which I regret, since I prefer not to have a clownish losing loser head the GOP ticket, but not enough to give witless fools and prog enablers like Haley any support. Do those people have any idea how much they are despised by us deplorables?

narciso said...

oh dear, she put her stilettos in her mouth again, yes she was allowed to rise because she is so insubstantial,

pardoned for what, for free speech and assembly, for documents he had the exclusive right to hold, what other clap trap, the silly woman who was avenattis client,

Mountain Maven said...

Pardon him if he's convicted. All the charges are bogus except the process crime of obstruction. As the Democrats said, time to "move on."

Yancey Ward said...

She just ended the less than 1% chance she had of getting the nomination.

Quaestor said...

Haley might as well resign from the Republican party and go home. Her political career is over. The mushy middle has no significant support in either camp.

MSNBC might pay her a small salary as one of their captive conservatives, suitably gelded and de-clawed, performing on cue for tidbits. Nod, Nikki! Nod while Maddow pontificates. That's right... Now, grin... Good, Nikki. Here's your sardine.

Biden has a Hunter problem when it comes to the oardon power. Bet if we had elected that Yorktown Heights last time she'd be pardoning her predecessor. Or that Austrian guy. Or the Kenyan. Wasn't allowed to vote for any of them, however.

Trump’s not the one who will need a pardon.

This is why the argument from the DeSantis folks that, "DeSantis is Trump's best chance to avoid jail" falls flat; there's no way DeSantis would offer up a pardon and risk reelection.

Mr Wibble said...

Maybe DeSantis will fight if someone could get him a pep pill.

If you went back in time to 2006, got a convention full of College Republicans drunk, and asked them to describe their ideal candidate, you'd get someone like DeSantis. He's like Cruz in that his entire adult life reads like someone who has spent it preparing to run for President. Unfortunately, being the platonic ideal of the establishment GOP candidate means that I doubt he has the fire in his belly for anything.

How is any of this going to make the voters think better of Biden-Harris? Will this persuade all those millions of Trump supporters otherwise?

1. The documents case is solid.

2. Ford pardoned Nixon without any conviction.

3. If Haley did get elected the first person looking for a pardon would be the fat tub of goo. He would want to stop racking up legal fees ASAP.

It is remarkable what a buffoon she is.

i get Nikki commercials, every time i open you tube (which is many times a day)
Things i've noticed:
a) she is ALWAYS criticizing republicans
b) she's NEVER criticized a democrat
c) she'd NEVER said anything good about ANY republican (INCLUDING herself)

she's Pretty OBVIOUSLY Not running for the republican nomination; she's Only running against republicans

That’s a Trumpian thing to say for Haley. Begging the question, why buy the substitute when we can have the original?

stlcdr said...

Haley did a decent job when governor of SC. She did a decent job as a diplomat.

She doesn't have the chops for the presidency. Diplomats need not apply. She's trying to play both sides, but extremely weak. As noted above, she doesn't understand what's going on with trump. It's not about trump. It's about the government tyranny that is growing.

Christopher B said...

Given this, I stand by my analysis that her "state's rights caused the Civil War" statement is 100% a case of her repeating things she's been told will sound good to certain groups, not any deep thought on various subjects.

Joe Smith said...

'This is why the argument from the DeSantis folks that, "DeSantis is Trump's best chance to avoid jail" falls flat; there's no way DeSantis would offer up a pardon and risk reelection.'

If DeSantis gets elected in the first place, it will only be because of Trump voters.

Pardoning Trump will only solidify their support.

Ampersand said...

I don't understand how Trump's likely innocence, or not, precludes a pardon. Surprisingly, I agree with the idea, as it would focus the nation on the relevant question: who is our best option for President when we vote in November 2024?

mikee said...

Trump could die tomorrow and be buried the same day, and the problem the Dems face won't go away. The small numbers that make up the progressive left are reviled by just under half the voters of the country, and tolerated in ignorance by about 10-20% of the undecided voters, and has the useful idiot support of most of their own voters who are brainwashed that Rethuglicans
sit upon thrones made of grandma skulls while eating live babies.

The Dems are reviled, and will be reviled by more and more people, as their policies are enacted and the results produce lower standards of living and inflation and high taxes and government overreach into everyone's lives. Trump was just a symptom of that revulsion against the Dems. Sure, Trump can be forgotten, but the revulsion remains, and the Dems had best do something about it before much longer.

The Cracker Emcee Refulgent said...

It is fascinating to watch these Republicans break themselves on the Reef Of Trump. This and the relentless Donk hysterics just reinforce the idea that it really isn’t about Trump at all. It’s about the rising, inexorable contempt for the Establishment.

Which is funny, because, for most of my life when I used to hear that contempt expressed, I dismissed it as the ravings of the stoner/Leftist/Bircher/slacker/Libertarian expressing it. I get it now, though.

The reason our politics can’t successfully address our ills is that too many people are only partially right.

How do you do a bad job as UN Ambassador? You just make speeches that were written by someone else. And try not say anything too stupid. SHe only did it for 2 years.

Our current UN Ambassador is Linda Thomas-Greenfield. Been on the job for almost 3 years. Ever heard of her? She's doing a "decent job" though.

THe one who replaced Haley? Kelly Craft. Ever heard of her? She did a decent job too. For 2 years.

Samantha Power was UN Ambassador for 4 years under Obama. I dunno what she's doing now, but I know its not running for POTUS.

Meanwhile, an interesting amicus brief has been filed in DC Ct of Appeals on Trump's appeal from denial of immunity, Cites Scalia 1989 USSC opinion rejecting interlocutory by defendant appeal for that kind of denial of immunity (i.e., when must be inferred, not set out expressly in the law). But DOJ did not make the argument. Trump reply due Wednesday.

A pardon is not necessary. You (and your Democrat and GOPe buddies) can stop talking about Trump anytime you want. Or can you?
