It isn't so much they're going after Adams (he'll never serve a day in jail), it's the making up shit and relying on a competitor's opposition research to try to influence an election, and when that failed, continuing to break laws in order to ensure that a duly-elected president isn't able to govern unmolested.

My kids were exceptional, of course, but no more so than their miscreant little friends. My son's graduating class of about 50, produced gifted leaders in business, technology, education and government. If their school had a 13th grade, classes would have convened in Westwood, CA.

I just got off the phone with a relative of Gregory Yetman, the target of an FBI manhunt following an armed raid related to charges for January 6. Will have much more on what happened shortly.

I am SICK of hearing the ways in which this regime is destroying the lives of decent Americans who love this country so the pettiest man ever to be president, Joe Biden, can retaliate against his detractors.

I am sick of hearing the pain in people's voices when their loved one is described as a "terrorist," especially people who have served this country and never been in trouble with the law.

I am sick of seeing reporters and commentators cheer this--adding to the suffering of people they don't know or like because they supported Donald Trump.

I am sick of watching the lowlifes at DOJ and FBI brag about these cases day after day on social media.

I am sick of watching cruel judges working with sadistic line prosecutors rip apart families simply because they can.

I am sick of the silence of Republicans especially those running for president who boast about taking on the tough fights while doing nothing.

I am sick of the empty promises by Congressional Republicans who refuse to do whatever necessary to end this. Instead, 70 House members voted to build Chris Wray a shiny new headquarters he will probably name after Robert Mueller.

And I am sick of my fellow countrymen who not only endorse this but want more of it.

The quality of military overseas schools is mostly due to the quality of the students' parents. At least one parent with the discipline and drive to succeed as a military servicemember. At least one parent who knows the value of sacrifice and delayed gratification.
I suspect that the teachers are also from a different cohort than the typical unionized stateside leftist product of LGBTQ State University.

My former spouse and I went our own ways while I was based in Japan. Most kids HATE to change schools so they elected to remain with me (and their high school chums). Happy as I was about that, I was terrified about being a single dad.

Luckily, I did a sensible thing by learning everything I could about their school, it's teachers and coaches and even their friends.

My kids' math teacher, track coach and motivator/mentor has been my best friend and much-loved member of our family for 42 years.

He's still in the classroom at that school and now has thousands of former students who stay in touch and remember the good things he brought into their lives. I think it says something about a teacher when the most sought-after class in school is advanced calculus.

John was exceptional but he wasn't alone. The people who made that school work were as admirable, interesting and enjoyable as any group I've known.

It's also worth noting is that an overseas military base is a very special environment. Teachers, students and parents all live in the same 'neighborhood'. They shop in the same stores, eat in the same restaurants, socialize in the same establishments and share the same inconveniences and stresses.

OTOH, one of my best friends became a teacher and married another teacher (who had been a Marine). They taught and principaled (it's a word now) in one of Tennessee's poorest counties for about fifteen years, and he got an Ed.D., which he parlayed into a DoD teaching post (middle school mostly) at the school for mostly HQ pukelets.

She got on a few years later and they were there for 10 years. Made boatloads more money doing that than if they had stayed home, and can pretend that he's not still a redneck doofus like the rest of us.

Their son, just a few months younger than ours, only had the benefit of those schools for his last few years, but they helped him a lot. He's not half the redneck doofus his father is.; 11/11/23, 1:36 PM
