I only found it because, coincidently, someone posted a pic of the actress I had in mind, but could not remember her name, to r/doppleganger . What are the chances of something like that happening?
Thanks!! Living by the Pine Barrens in NJ, we don't get a lot of color down here. Luckily, my neighbor planted a sugar maple in his yard years ago, (from his wives family homestead in Cooperstown, NY!!) so that gives me my Autumn colors. Being from New England, it is WEIRD.

Back when there were real people reading weather bureau radio reports, the local guy always called it "foilage."
Dang, lady. I'm so jealous.
I still hear "foliage" now and then. Fall foliage.
Someone needs to figure out how to foil fallage.
Surreal contrast in that first one.
Late to an open thread party: I found a doppelganger for one of Greta's protesting friends. Actress Jean Louisa Kelly in "Uncle Buck" (1989)

Coincidence?
There was a clump of foliage that looked like legit pure cadmium yellow on the west bank of the pond at sunrise this morning.
Market Basket empleados were placing huge end caps of stuffing, canned pumpkin and cranberries today.
I'm calling Peak Color today, in part because of the blue skies. Drove westbound past the Arb on the beltline. Spectacular color.
Red sun lights up the fall!
Burnt offerings to seasonal progression.

Wow. 3 gorgeous photos. Thanks!
OK, he wrote "foilage."
Can you develop dyslexia with age?
I love the last one!

A holocaust of red and gold, Mallarme wrote of autumn
The second one gives me the sense that the leaves are moving toward me.
Back in the 80s and 90s I used to go up to Door County several times a year.
They called it the "leaf turnin'" in the Fall. It was always spectacular.
Here in Arizona we get excited about cooler weather, but there is little leaf turnin'.
