Compare my extensive analysis of the project on my first year anniversary — here — with many photos and the identification of 10 different sunrise types.
This year, I'm observing the anniversary a day late, but let me show you some of what are to me the most beautiful sunrises of this past year:

I'm torn between 2 and 5.
You have a good eye, ma'am. Thanks for posting these!
7th sunrise, most beautiful of the beautifuls.
Here are some of my favorites for this year.
Posted only a few days ago, helped me to find them quickly.
You know what would also help? If blogger had a bookmark button.
They are beautiful, and I hope your project has brought you joy.
Beautiful pictures. Thank you.
Interesting construction: "Forgot to notice..."
Are you using "notice" in the more common way- incidentally took note of (and then mentioned in a post)?
Or "notice" in the legal way- made others provably aware of?
IANAL, but you are.
You could do a Madisonhenge, sunrise at a particular landmark, twice a year.
The photo from December 1, 2022 is the most distinctive.
(The 6th photo.)
Sixty-five million years ago the dinosaurs may have witnessed such sunrises, and then everything went to hell.
Nevertheless, very nice photos, Ms. Althouse. Thanks for sharing them!
Vintage sunrises. So lovely. I remember each one, as if it was tomorrow.
It's an increasingly distinctive trademark for your brand. And I've said before, but it's worth repeating, that your open forum "sunrise cafes" are the best and most interesting discussion threads on any blog on the Internet. Greatest variety and intellectually stimulating discussions/shared insights anywhere.
Such beauty!
Ooh! You picked some of my favorites. The top one is one I missed--it is extraordinary (IMHO).
Very nice selection of photos. Thanks for sharing.
Bravura performance! Thanks extra much.
Which is why I look forward to seeing them every day. There must have been some "meh!" ones in there somewhere, but I cannot remember any. As long as you enjoy doing them, I'll enjoy viewing them. Thank you.
Great work!

Just make sure you thoroughly research the landmark's past.
Madison has a racist rock problem.
Watch everyday for the sunrise pictures. You get incredible shots.
Happy Anniversary on your project. It is a great project. Make sunrises great again!
Those are wonderful photos. thanks for reposting.
did you hear? New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham declared that there is NO SUCH THING, as an Absolute Constitutional Right, and that SHE could suspend ANY and ALL civil liberties;
just by saying that there is an "emergency"
Well..
Albuquerque D.A. Will Not Enforce NM Governor’s Concealed Carry Ban
The Associated Press noted that D.A. Bregman stood against the ban on Saturday, explaining that he will not enforce it: ““As an officer of the court, I cannot and will not enforce something that is clearly unconstitutional.”
And the AP observed Albuquerque police chief Harold Medina responded to the governor’s order by making clear he will not enforce it.
I'm assuming, that the Gov will now suspend the 13th amendment, and make both Bregman and Medina her personal slaves.. Since it's an "emergency"
All spectacular, but I absolutely love the distinctive one....# 6!!!
Love them all!
Excellent choices! All fantastic in different ways. Thanks for sharing.
3789 is my favorite, but they're all stunning.
Excellent work.
They're all 10s. Thank you.
I had a friend who took the pic from the same position each day for a year, and superimposed all of the pics. It was kind of a neat image as the Sun moved through its annual peregrinations. OK, I guess it was his spot that was moving about, not the Sun
One of my favorite daily blog postings - many thanks for keeping this as a regular feature!
Have you considered watching sports instead?
Magnificent. Thank you!
Lately (6 months?) I've been much more impressed by your photos. Did something change?
By the way, the canonical expression is "I forgot to remember..."
“Fourth anniversary” not “four year anniversary” dang it!
Here in South Central PA there are no large bodies of water to show off the sun just after rising. I've taken to finding scenery where morning or afternoon sunlight illuminates buildings, fields and landforms. I still miss Lake Mendota sunups, but barns in particular are very photogenic and I can't wait for fall colors.
