A walk in the sun.

Sune is a chiefly dialectal variant of the word "soon"1. It can also be a female name in Afrikaans or an old Nordic male name2. The name is derived from an ancient Nordic word for "son"2. Sune may also be a surname of Spanish origin2.

Is this a 'Where's Ann?'

That time Jon Stewart tried to silence Seth McFarland.

Get in line, comic!

Whatever happened to David Mamet?

I wonder if our children (grandchildren?) will study that time in Hollywood when Republicans couldn't find work anywhere. They came out of the closet and headed straight to the unemployment line.

"Jon Stewart has a list, and he's checking it twice."

I probably shouldn't call him the anti-Santa.

Oops.

sune??

Sounds like something from Dungeons-n-Dragons??

I hope your clothes weren't ruined!!

It's nice to know I'm not the only one afflicted with typo-itis.

Before commenting, I spent a few minutes searching for some obscure meaning of sune just in case. Mostly, all that came forward were references to an MMOG that interests me not at all. Besides, one cannot take a walk in the sune, even in Forgotten Realms™️.

Sorry about the typo

You appear shorter than I had thought.

"Sorry about the typo"

No, no. Don't apologize. As I noted earlier, we mere mortals appreciate the gesture.

There's a splash of platinum blond amidst the goldenrod, center foreground.

Booksmart is a fantastic film. I am not the target market for that film, but I loved that movie despite myself. Olivia Wilde hit a home run on her first attempt.

I predict Meadhouse will love this movie. Best teen flick about girls I've seen since Clueless. Really captures the mindset of a generation. See it.

Saint Croix said...

best movie soundtrack I've heard in a long time.

Booksmart features a virgin lesbian and a virgin valedictorian and how they learn important lessons from the slacker kids. Don't look down on people, Hillary!

Brad Paisley re-worked the Wisconsin Department of Health Services tick advice into something, well ... more 'poetic':

'Cause I'd like to see you out in the moonlight
I'd like to kiss you way back in the sticks
I'd like to walk you through a field of wildflowers
And I'd like to check you for ticks

now that I've watched more of the frickin' clip

it's occurred to me that Stewart was the innocent guy and the Irish was the pro-union thug

oops

you're the anti-Santa, Seth!

ADD gets me in trouble but I don't want to fix my brain.

calm

calm

patience

watch the whole clip next time

(I've been driving people insane with the remote all my life)

quick judgment!

quicker!

P.C.U. remains one of the best (and most libertarian) college movies I've ever seen. Super relevant (and funny).

The lead actor (Jeremy Piven) kinda trashed the movie on the commentary track because he was terrified of the PC reaction he was getting from the liberal Hollywood mafia (my assumption)

It trashes the PC police and Republicans too. David Spade is very funny. It has us all pulling for young people who just want to party and have fun. Brilliant, see it. (And great funk soundtrack).

"But you hate punk!"

"Not punk! Funk!"

Saint Croix said...

Bow down to the union, Jon Stewart!

And don't call me up because that's scary as shit.

Saint Croix said...

Jon Stewart, artist who puts his art above politics.

apologies, brother

that time Stewart mocked the fuck out of his audience and blamed the Chinese dictators

suck it, Fauci!

Saint Croix said...

If Mel Brooks was writing this screenplay

there would be a massive Irish thug on the picket line

and he would cry

"oh shit! It's Jon Stewart! And he's mad! Hide!"

I have not been offering Joe Biden any of my attention before I read Ann’s take on his presser yesterday. After I read Ann’s I don't see a problem. Biden ought to do more news conferences and show this level of engagement and competence. It's fine. there was a part of me thinking this another Althouse contra indicator but since I hadn’t offered Biden any of my attention, who was I to judge…

So today I watch Biden’s Vietnam presser- should have stuck with my instincts…

Taking retirement literally?

Interestingly, Stewart's political rom-com, Irresistible, makes a good faith effort to attack his own side as much as the Republicans.

Not bad!

We could still use more jobs in Hollywood, though.

Get to work on that!

So many people are ecstatic about Biden being impeached because of McCarthy's statement, but no one seems to understand that Harris will then be President if they are successful.

I wonder what it's like to be loved by you
I wonder what it's like to be home
And I don't walk when there's a stone in my shoe
All I know, that in time I'll be fine
I wonder what it's like to fly so high
Or to breathe under the sea
I wonder if someday I'll be good with goodbyes
But I'll be okay if you come along with me

Such a long, long way to go
Where I'm going I don't know
I'm just following the road
For a walk in the sun
For a walk in the sun

LLR lonejustice goes on the record as opposed to any impeachment proceeding for Biden.

Unexpectedly.

Well, it certainly appears that Rich, LLR C**** and LLR lonejustice are of one mind on this issue...even as they celebrate corrupted lawfare against conservatives.

Probably to "help" "conserve conservatism"....(Wink wink)

The FDA has determined that phenylephrine is useless in reducing nasal decongestion. This ingredient is contained in Sudafed, Benadryl, Robitussin, and other popular over-the-counter decongestants.

These fake oral decongestants will soon be pulled off store shelves nationwide. Strangely, nasal sprays containing phenylephrine are unaffected by the ruling.

Phenylephrine first came to prominence in 2006 after another decongestant, pseudoephedrine, was taken off drugstore shelves because it’s an ingredient in the illegal stimulant methamphetamine.

Yes, you can buy decongestants with pseudoephedrine that actually work but they are behind the prescription counter and they cost much more because of administrative costs.

Sure. No one knows who the VP is and the order of succession.
Arrogant much?

If Biden committed impeachable offenses - and it appears he did - it shouldn't matter who's next up. Right is right. Wrong is wrong.
