If Hunter Biden were some rando named Hunter Smith, he'd be a methhead routinely boffing homeless skanks under some overpass. Without his daddy's name and money, Hunter is a wastoid.
He'd be a serial drug-abusing john who wouldn't have the money or connections to buy high-end child prostitutes, forcing him to settle for toothless addicts seeking gas money to get to the next truck stop. Judging by his texts and emails, he's got zero charisma, and will even screw family members because the whole Biden line is a degenerate freak show.

CAN'T Hunter just point out, that
a) he is a DEMOCRAT, and thus exempt from laws
b) he is a BIDEN, and thus ABSOLUTELY exempt, from ALL LAWS
c) his accusers have named Both dates, AND years for the crimes.. Which means they are inadmissible
For a crime to be proven,
a) the accused MUST BE a republican
b) the accussed must be supporting Trump
c) and THIS, is The IMPORTANT ONE.. There can be NO MENTION of a date, of GOD FORBID a year

He will be cleaned up, shaved, have a $100 haircut and a $4000 suit, and zero prostitutes or smoking crack pipes will be within his reach in the hearing room. He will adopt an attitude of "how can you think such things of me, the prodigal, returned son of Joe Biden: me, the bereft brother of Joe's other, dead, son; me, the wealthy international businessman with worldwide respect and contacts among all the elite of the elite?
And when every email and picture from his laptop is put up on a big screen for his explanation of his vile personal behavior and corrupt criminal practices, he won't remember anything, will say he doesn't do that nasty stuff any more, and he will say it is a mean thing to do to him in public. And that will be that.
Hold the hearings in camera, send criminal referral after criminal referral to the DOJ, and get something done other than kabuki political theatricals.
He will surely decline to appear since the DoJ will still have his back and ignore any contempt referrals made by the House.

Maybe Hunter Biden will not testify under oath before whichever House Committee calls him because the "whistleblowers" did not testify in open session under oath before Ways and Means and Jim Comer isn't smart enough to understand that his Oversight Committee just reread the FBI Form 1023 which was old news not germane except in a conspiratorial way.

I don't usually read gadfly's posts because they are almost always equally laughable. Amazing how it seems to be a monomaniacal quest for our dollar store LLR, not only to fill us in on details of the size and shape of Trump's penis, obviously to make sure it meets "presidential standards," but to defend the honor of the Biden clan at every turn.

Gahrie - I think a presidential pardon only applies to federal prosecution. Congressional investigations wouldn't fall under that.
If Hunter has a plea deal he can no longer incriminate himself regarding such charges, so no 5 th amendment right against it. I would like to hear Hunter say, yea, but I am guilty of many other things so I can’t testify anyway, because it will be used against me.
So the Democrats can put on a show, and tell them how proud they are of him for quitting his habits?? The plea deal only involves tax violations and his firearm violations. He can still be prosecuted for bribery and possession of classified material.
Megyn Kelley came back from vacation yesterday and she was on fire with Glenn Greenwald.
Lots of talk about Hunter. One of the things that pissed her off is that Hunter is still under investigation for some other stuff. This allows him to refuse to answer questions in Congress.
Megyn thinks this was left pending on purpose to keep him quiet. She thinks the DOJ is a bunch of sneaky fuckers trying to protect Brandon.
Kelley is, or was, a lawyer and seems better on legal stuff than a lot of other commentators. I'll tend to take her word on something like this.

There is a strong consensus among legal experts that a president cannot pardon someone for a state offense, as the Constitution notes “offenses against the United States.” In other words, state law enforcement authorities could review any criminal allegations, without presidential intervention, to determine if they rise to the level of a state offense.”
If so I guess scotus gets to decide, someday, what constitutes an offense against the US. I would think that the United States includes the states so a crime against a state would be a crime against the United States, but perhaps not. States were more important earlier in the nations history. As I recall New York said they would indict Trump for state crimes if he was pardoned, perhaps that is why the ABA wrote this blurb being against Trump, but it may apply to Hunter or Joe at some point.
I don’t see how a pardon could keep the Congress from investigating, censuring, or impeaching anyone.
I think Joe Biden is definitely capable of having him killed. I mean what's one more dead son? And Bill and Hillary and Obama have done it so maybe they can give him a hand.

I suspect John Roberts and 1 other "conservative" SC justice will, in a future proceeding, join with the lefties to prove you wrong.
Naturally it will be a Trump only specific ruling, applicable to no other President/ex-President.
If prosecution is foreclosed, Hunter has no grounds to invoke the Fifth. And if he does, the House should use its long-unused inherent power to jail him for contempt.
