So, apparently, "Juneteenth" is now a FEDERAL holiday?
Because it was the day that Union Troops got to Galveston or such, and told the slaves there, that they were free?

So, Serious Question..
My Great Great Grandfather, Oscar Clapper, was in the 38th Iowa Volunteer Infantry Regiment. On December 12, 1864; there was so little left of their regiment, that the survivors were incorporated into the 34th Iowa Volunteer Infantry Regiment..Which, in June of 1865 was down in south Texas by Houston and (you guessed it!) Galveston.
By that time, Oscar was in a hospital in south Texas with dysentery or malaria or something.

So, my Serious Question IS. Where The FUCK Are MY Reparations?!?!?!?
Juneteenth wouldn't have happened without the Iowa Volunteers that MADE IT Happen.. And MY Great Great Grandfather was one of those

I was noticing some of the new MLB smart television app features like watching the home or away team video feed while listening to the home or away radio feed. And here I thought pausing live action was as good as it was going to get.

Coincidentally, you might say, Fox's Bret Baier spent most of his showtime yesterday ruthlessly grilling Don Trump about the ex-president's indictments for hoarding classified documents. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, he put his recently purchased mansion in Palm Beach (located near Mar-a-Lago) back on the market.

Oh well, there are other cable channels looking for good news anchors.

Many ethnic groups have come to the Americas to escape oppression at home and seek better lives here. This in spite of hardships endured upon arrival (Irish, Poles, Italians, Japanese, Chinese, Mexicans, Vietnamese and others).

If Africans had easier access, would they have also come voluntarily in large numbers? How many of African ancestry have found the US truly so oppressive and inhospitable that they have returned to the 'old country'?

Sadly, racism is an industry in this country. A rather well-paying one.

“Brit Hume: Trump defense of taking documents ‘incoherent’”

After watching segments of the Bret Baier interview with Trump, Trump’s best defense should be insanity or dementia. That must have been very hard for his family to watch, it would break my heart. If one listened to Trump’s discombobulated responses to Baier’s questions, it’s evident that he’s in way too deep and no amount of lying or confused explanations will help him. He looks like a sad little boy who is desperate to get his hand out of the cookie jar when he’s caught in the act of stealing what’s not his. It’s sad seeing a former POTUS brought down so low…by his own efforts. I would be in favor of finding him innocent based on insanity/ dementia and deporting him. No need to imprison him for the rest of his life, that would be too cruel for this little pathetic man.

There is a live feed of the repair of the I-95 bridge in PA. It’s been fun to watch. They fill the gap under the N and S bridges with some special glass aggregate so they can lay pavement for temporary use while they close a portion at a time to re-build the permanent bridges lane by lane. They will re-build permanent bridges starting from the outer lanes. Temp lanes will be ready pretty soon - something like 10 days, I think.

Remember when Joe Biden's crackhead son, who was working as an unregistered foreign agent, had access to all of those classified documents in dad's garage? Remember when he wrote those letters to his paying clients laying out deep analyses of the political situations in various foreign countries, almost as if he had access to US State Department thinking on the subject?

What a funny coincidence. Life sure is strange in its twists and turns, who would have thought that a crackhead could spend his days doing diligent research for his clients, all the while forgoing the contents of those cardboard boxes in the garage next to the Corvette that he has been shown in pictures driving. His "honor as a Biden," What a son.

Remember when Hunter had those keys made for Chinese Nationals to get into the office of the Penn-Biden Center where thousands more of those documents were stored? I am sure that the honor system was enough to protect the contents of those classified documents from prying eyes.

All the while, Joe Biden had no power to declassify. Talk about threading a needle.

I am fascinated by the story of the submarine that was diving on the wreck of the Titanic. I hope it and its five passengers are returned safely to the surface, but to me there’s something ghoulish about wreck diving on that particular wreck. We found it. It’s been studied with ROVs. Is there still something to learn? Besides the reality that going that deep in person is still dangerous?

I am going to repeat a point made over at Pajamas Media. We are at the stage with Joe Biden's open corruption like we were when everybody knew that Harvey Weinstein was a filthy animal, jokes were even made about it in public, but still everybody was pretending that the open secret was still some kind of secret that would never see justice.

Trump was indicted on 37 counts for retaining classified documents. Yet the photos released by the DOJ show stacks and stacks of boxes in various locations at Mar-a-Lago. For the uninitiated, each box can hold between 2500 and 5000 documents, depending on whether it's a file box or a copy paper box. Right.

So when is someone going to raid that highly insecure former furniture store when Obama is warehousing the documents be took with him when he left the White House?

Tim. I'm getting a lot of ," I can't hear you! LAlalalalala. Trump!" From the left. Many are convinced like Gadfly that 'Republicans'(it doesn't matter what your political leanings, if you don't agree with the left on everything, you're a republican.) are making it up. Leftism is a mental disorder.

A friend’s husband is getting an operation this week. Our good drs here can explain further, if they so choose. He has an overgrowth of cells in a testie- the operation is to unravel and scrape clean the offending cells. It’s enlarged (to the size of a softball!!!)

I questioned the wife: why not just have that one testie removed? She answered: my husband wanted that done, but 3separate drs agreed- it would be unethical to do so. It may have to be done, if the original procedure isn’t successful.

Can you believe that?
Unethical???
The husband said: you would cut them both of if I said I was a woman… idk what they answered to that.

Only in the name of “gender affirmation”.

Be best.

I’m still waiting for Inga and Gadfly to produce the pee tapes. Not the one of both of them, but the one they claimed would show Trump was a blackmailed pawn of Putin. Until then, I rate their latest “walls are closing in” claims equal to their previous lies. It’s been over 5 years now, couldn’t you have deepfaked the tapes?

Glenn Reynolds made a very interesting point about "version" reading. We used to read the full story on each new version of Windows, for example, whereas now we wait till we need the information on a single aspect and then we look it up in Google or in some AI chat place. That is true for for me, at any rate. I learned CPM, DOS, Windows for DOS, Windows NT and Windows (versions) as well as Office versions, CPU and GPU versions, iphones versions, graphics standards, digital camera versions. But no more. I seem to have decided that there's core knowledge which I've acquired and I don't need to keep reading the same slightly changed book or manual over and over. Though to be honest the pile of "slight changes" I'm ignoring is getting pretty large- like a hoarder house? I hope not but how do I know what I don't know?
And the same is happening with regular knowledge. Put aside current insanities. Communism has changed as it becomes history. Country and rock music has changed. What's the difference between a person who went through the sequence when it was a sequence - Frank Sinatra, the Weavers, The Beatles, Bob Dylan acoustic, Bob Dylan electric, Johnny Cash and June Carter weaving in and out, The Band, Carole King - and a person who hears them now on Spotify on demand all at once?

Bringing a comment forward from the earlier “C.S. Lewis novel” posting, pseudonymous substacker N.S. Lyons writes of the superior applicability of both C.S. Lewis' Space Trilogy (specifically, That Hideous Strength) together with J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings for insights into what Lyons calls “our emerging 21st century dystopia than any other” available up-frontedly dystopian treatments such as 1984 or Brave New World. beet greens are SO MUCH better than mustard greens (which Are pretty good).
gilbar's secret recipe

fry up some pork chops in your cast iron skillet with olive oil, butter and bacon grease.
While they're cooking cut up some beet greens (gilbar then throws Away the roots 'cause he don't like em)
When the chops are done, put the beet greens into the skillet with the leftover oils and burnt bit.
Stirfry
then add A Little water (like a tbsp) and cover..
This steams them And More Importantly, Cleans your skillet
enjoy!

The bodies of the dead are buried in the ground in cemeteries and Civil War battle sites. The bodied of the dead on the Titanic are either still unburied and lying about the wreck or they were eaten by the fishies. There's no rest for the Titanic dead, but there is for the those in the cemeteries and Civil War battle fields.

From The Orange County Register article "Are there still human remains in Titanic wreckage?":

People have been diving to the Titanic’s wreck for 35 years. No one has found human remains, according to the company that owns the salvage rights.

THIS will never be reported by the lying corrupt mainstream media, but it's as bad as most of us think it is, and thinking we can vote our way out of it, is a joke at this point.

Got 10 grand you can buy a senator I’ll give you 500k right now It doesn’t matter who wins they’re in my pocket.
