Osaka is hands-down the best city is Japan for gustative tourism. Let haters hate, it's true. I would encourage the adventurous to try basashi and fugu fin sake (an Osaka specialty), not necessarily at the same time, but what the hell.
Osaka is my favorite. It bums me out I haven't been back in so long.

The Japanese truly love to drink.
Ask me how I know : )
"And God said to Adam, here is a beer, it's all the proof you need that I love you."
Hope he gets around the country. Nice people. Safe. Great food, culture, architecture. Minorities discouraged.

Amen.
A case of beer, a jug of wine, and thou beside me singing in the wilderness.
Memories.
