These are all headlines on the front page of the Washington Post website right now. Did I put them in the right order?

"Craving brains and hangry: Zombie behavior demystified by scientists."

"The sun was ‘smiling’ in a NASA photo. It might be a warning for Earth."

"Don’t blame ‘both sides.’ The right is driving political violence."

"Assault of Paul Pelosi was attack on democracy. The risks keep growing."

Are there any potential events that would persuade the WP that it is fundamentally wrong? No.

Don't blame both sides as Steve Scalise was shot by a Bernie Bro, Rand Paul was attacked by a neighbor AND Antifa goons in DC, Trumps inaugeration there were Limos burning in the streets, BLM/ ANTIFA looting and riots cost over 1 billion dollars, Sarah Huckabee chased out of a Restaurant because Maxine Waters told her followers to chase Republicans out and tell them they aren't welcome. AND Nancy Pelosi's husband was attacked by a looney lefty, (funny how all that Republican crap was put on the internet the day before and taken down the day after) Or you can close your eyes and go back to sleep and think it is all Republicans committing all the violence meanwhile, be careful when you go to a liberal city if you don't want to get shot or pushed into the subway.

If you're trying to put them in order of grounding in reality, from most to least, then I'd say you got it about right.

So I guess this means strict hammer control legislation isn’t on the horizon.

Rand Paul, the House Republican Softball team, Rusbio's campaign volunteer, and everyone who was assaulted, murdered, or had their property destroyed in the George Floyd / Antifa riots of the last 2+ years would like to have a word with you.

Life is too short to read their trash. Anyone got a summary of the "right wing political violence" that's conquering America?

"Assault of Paul Pelosi was attack on democracy. The risks keep growing."
No, the assault on Rubio's campaign volunteer, saying the "Republicans aren't allowed here", was an attack on democracy.

That attack is aided and abetted by the WaPo, which is ruling to give it any serious coverage.

They used to just seem like political hacks. More and more they now seem like delusional clots trying to replicate themselves.

David Frum has a column out today with the same theme as Max Boot's. Has anyone seen the two of them in the same room at the same time?

Max Boot's dad is more interesting than Max. Dad is a reactionary monarchist would-be Oswald Spengler who thinks the West has been in decline since the Enlightenment. The family left the USSR for the US, and then dad left the family for the high life in England and then France. Fatherlessness could explain Max's many travails.

This is what the fall of an illegitimate Regime looks like.

Now that people to the right of Mao are able to use Twitter it will take minutes for the lies and the bullshit propaganda to be outed instead of days.

Everyone already sees what is going on here and everyone knows that the WAPO is lying about Pelosi's little tryst before they even post their crap.

Narr said...

Kunstler's take on what he calls Pelosi's cockamamie story is well worth the minutes.

NPR's latest lead: attempted murder and assault charges "expected."

I reckon that since the story won't disappear the D's will have to double down on their imaginary political violence line.

To Paraphrase King Arthur. On second thought, let's not go to the Washington Post. 'Tis a silly place.

"Assault of Paul Pelosi was attack on democracy."

Yeah, because when I'm in the mood to attack democracy, I always do it in my tidy whities.

Based on the WaPoo's constituency, I'd say they have it perfectly.

I am not what Bezos was/ is thinking about his purchase of this rag. Bringing down America cannot ultimately help his Amazon Golden Goose. Crashing the economy sinks all, or at least, most boats. And with the lefties manning the conn, there is nowhere to go but down. They are off to great start.

I’m old enough to remember when The Enquirer tabloid had little to no competition.

The left regularly throws away money to achieve a political end. Michael Medved wrote a book about how Hollywood does this, inserting gratuitous obscenity and graphic sex and violence that gets their films rated R instead of PG-13, costing them ticket revenues, but demeaning the culture, which is their goal.

CNN destroyed their business model to push Democrat propaganda and became a big money loser. These are all tax-deductible political contributions.

They are paid by the same small group of people to do the same thing.

They get their orders from the same people.

They are just tools that don't really do anything on their own.

Nancy begins to look like Ahab, channeling all her frustrations and disappointments into the hunt for the elusive orange sperm whale.

How is an attack on a man that on the surface seems an encounter, maybe of a sexual nature or maybe no, but it seems odd that there were two men in underwear, how is that an attack on democracy? Because he is married to the Shrieker-of-the-House? Ridiculous supposition and you would would have to be thinking with the dirt under your fingernail to get to that conclusion.

Lem Ozuna beat me to it. Three of these headlines could have come from the National Enquirer or the Weekly Sorld News. The fourth is a bald-faced lie.

@Althouse, do you appreciate how many IQ points you sacrificed just reading the headlines? And then you tripled that loss cutting and pasting them.

Journ-O-lism is full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
Journ-O-lism is a vast wasteland.
Journ-O-lism covers stories like Paul P with a pillow, until the story stops moving.
But the facts are stubborn and want to get out because (1) nobody trusts the Big Media and especially the organ of state the WaPoo; and (2) this story finally sheds some light on the suppressed story of Paul's "drunk and drugged DUI" that was handled by the CHP exactly the same way the SFPD is "handling" this story, like a '50s era studio chief trying to keep its aging starlet out of the tabloids.

Too late motherfuckers. This story will find its legs and still be running full speed eight days from now when Nancy loses her cushy gavel. Wonder if the intruder had a giant oversized gavel like Nancy carried through the throngs of Tea Partiers in 2010 trying to provoke a response that democrat operatives with bylines could exploit. Alas they had to resort to inventing a fake racial epithet since no one would attack the witch.

But boy does Paulie cut loose when the ice-cream-loving gander is away. No wonder she bought a house for herself in FLA, it's as far from the Castro District as she can get.

A list. I'm working on a list myself of individuals ranked on the intersection of their hammer adjacency and their significance to Boomers such as me in our ongoing quest to destroy humanity.

What I got so far:

1. Maxwell
2. Thor, God of Thunder
3. (with a Bullet) David DePape
4. M.C.
5. Fred Williamson
6. Jesus
7. Mary
8. Paul
9. Peter
10. Some Skandi named Dag

Apologies if I missed any favorites but it's a work in progress.

I never knew Maxine Waters was considered right-wing, for she must be, if indeed it's the Right that is provoking violence.

Odd how “attack on democracy” or the death of democracy has become a catch phrase found in every lefty news paper. Not sure who buys into that scare tactic. Suburban women? Hyperbole has its uses. To a point.

BUMBLE BEE said...

Dennis Prager opened today's show by examining the dem's pounding the phrase "democracy hangs in the balance". The word "democracy" does not appear in the U.S. Constitution or the Declaration of Independence or the Pledge of Allegiance. "To the REPUBLIC for which it stands." America was founded as a republic. Who is zoomin who?
Juan Williams' piece is in The Hill. Juan is bottoming out, perhaps cluster headaches?

of COURSE she Is! Just Ask our Expert, Robert Cook..
Not only are ALL Democrats Far right-wing (according to Robert), but
so was Che
so was Castro
so was Khrushchev
so was Stalin

If you'll just check with Robert, you'll find out; that MOST (ALL?) people are Far right-wing

Bezos buys WaPo, completes its transition to dedicated propaganda outlet for the Iron Rice Bowl crowd. (More like the Golden Rice Bowl crowd, considering government employment is now much more lucrative than that in the private sector. Your tax dollars at work!)

Musk buys Twitter and the Golden Rice Bowl crowd demonizes him for promising to let the peasants speak their minds.

I'm catching a scent in the air that was probably familiar during the French Revolution.
