"'It was chaotic,' he said. The senators were in 'shock,' he said, and some were crying."

From "FBI agent investigating Oath Keepers guarded crying senators on Jan. 6" (WaPo).
At 7:30 p.m., [FBI special agent Michael Palian] and about 70 other FBI agents walked the senators back to the Capitol building and into the Senate chamber.
“It looked like a bomb had gone off in there,” Palian testified. Tear gas and pepper spray were in the air; windows and doors were broken.
Were Senators crying in sorrow or because of the tear gas?

Well, they weren't crying for the woman murdered by the Capitol police.

Oh, for God's sake. At long last, have they left no sense of decency?

They were crying over the plight of the incels that were attacking the capital

I wonder why it's called tear gas?

Sounds a lot like what happened in multiple American cities in the summer of 2020. And what did the Congress do about that summer of riot? Oh, pretty much nothing.

Then, on January 6th 2021, the Powers-That-Be discovered that the Right could also call up rent-a-mobs for revolutionary street justice, too. No more Boy Scout Jamboree-like Tea Party rallies on the Mall! And not only that, but the Right-wing mob could invade a federal building with its own police force in bluest of blue Washington, DC. They weren't armed, but no one doubted they could have been had they wanted to be.

Congress gets all NIMBY when it comes to riots that affect them.

…or was it because they’re just a bunch of PC cry babies?

I assumed they were crying because they were scared. I never would have considered that they were crying because of the threat to our democracy. I forgot what tear gas feels like, but remember it feels much worse if you rub your eyes.

Maybe it was something Olivia Wilde said?

Yes, isn't it interesting that not one Republican senator was brave enough to talk to "the mob". They just ran away and cried. IRC, mittens blubbered that the capital hill police "saved my life" while Miss Lindsey sreeched at the police to "use your guns. That's what they're there for".

Funny, how Pelosi has refused to release footage of the J6 riot. There's huge amounts of security camera film coverage. Every nook and crany of the building is being photographed.
But its kept sealed from the public. Very hush, hush. Top secret. Must be used at trials.

LOL!

No one has ever explained the events of J6. Why was the capital building left almost unguarded? Why did the DC Mayor and Pelosi turn down the DoD offer of NG troops? Who phoned in a bomb threat? Why has the FBI never discover the suspects who "Planted bombs" next to the DNC and RNC HQs? Why is every request to revel FBI assets turned down in the name of "national security"?

Why was there such an OVERREACTION? Four protesters were killed. All unarmed. Why were police so vague about the 'Injuries' reported? You can get a total number, but no reports on hospitalizations. Curious, no? But then it took months for them to tell the truth about the policeman who died or finally admit there was no "fire xtingusher" used as a weapon.

The wussy factor is strong among these old mostly white folks.

But having gone through annual military drills standing in a tear gas chamber several times, some tears will fall and some noses will run.

Now if you really wanted to know if they were in fact terrified you might check their underwear laundry bill.

Speaking from personal experience? You must be an incel, the way you chat nonsense.

Saw a Cambridge cop testify at a trial for antiwar protestors at Harvard back in the day. It was the beginning of my true education :) Reminds me of that.

The broken glass was probably the result of launching tear gas canisters. Perhaps the FBI should investigate the Capitol Police for their violent response along with the unjustified death resulting from the actions of the Capitol Police. George Floyd died from from the drugs in his system along with a bad heart yet the cop in question was tried and convicted of murder. The woman who was killed by the Capitol Police was shot in the head and wasn't resisting arrest or committing a violent crime at the moment she was shot. However let's not get real facts overcome the Democrat narrative.

FBI whistle blowers have pulled the curtain back on what is going on inside the FBI. Re-tagging investigations to puff up numbers to support the lie the FBI is leading, about the dangers of white extremism. Much like the Duke volleyball player and juicy smallest, the need for racists acts far exceed the supply, so they just pad the paperwork.

That's the long away around to the simple fact, nobody believes a thing the FBI is saying. Its taken a decade, but finally the rank and file are starting to tell the world exactly what the FBI has become. The Democrat Party's Secret Police.

They were crying because they’d just witnessed dozens of Capitol police beaten to death with fire extinguishers.

If they weren't making noise, then I guess wailing or howling is out of the mix. Weeping isn't much different from crying, but sobbing? Sobbing would perhaps be a bit more than the effects of tear gas or pepper spray. I don't believe they were in shock.

Our Senators cry when they're told holiday vacation break has been postponed two days. Puleeze. Ship them all to Chicago on a weekend night, drop them anywhere in the city, and tell them to make it to the site of Obama's Library in 12 hours. You'll see some cryin' then.

I'll add: Why was Ashley Babbit's killer protected for so long? Was he preened, praised and stroked for cold-blooded killing in the name of the Fed like Lon Horiuchi was?

They're crying because they realize their "Reichstag Fire" moment wasn't working and now they'd have to form a committee where the set up would become even more obvious.
People that believe there was an insurrection on Jan.6th, well, voted for Biden.

Adam Kinzinger is STILL crying, but that's only because he knows he was too slow off the mark to beat out Liz "Abraham Lincoln" Cheney (D-DC/Pelosi/Northern Va) for all the coveted "Republican"-in-name-only/#HateAllRepublicans slots.

This Question, is COMPLETELY OUT OF LINE!!
You are Required, BY LAW; to Accept, As GOSPEL, WHATEVER the DNC TELLS YOU!
You are NOT Allowed to THINK.. EVER!!!

When the seniority system was working properly, the older senators would tell the younger ones, "There, there, Big Senators don't cry."

Security denied. People peacefully assembled. An invitation extended, then summarily withdrawn. An unarmed woman murdered in a prone position. Another woman knocked down, assaulted, aborted. A probable Whitmer-event with "benefits".

Lucky for the Senators, Pirin tablets were available.

Armand:
What are you giving them drugs for? What the hell are Pirin tablets?

Agador:
It's aspirin with the "A" and the "S" scraped off.

Armand:
My God, what a brilliant idea!

Agador:
I know.

The Republicans were crying in sorrow. The Democrats were too busy planning how to exploit the event to cry.

Would it have been more appropriate for the "insurrectionists" to have declared the building a Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, or CHAZ, similar to the prior Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, CHAZ, in Seattle? Perhaps then the pro-Trump crowd would have seen the Mayor of DC declare January 6 the first day in a "Winter of Wonder" like the Seattle Mayor's declaration of a "Summer of Love" for CHAZ occupiers.

How long did the Seattle CHAZ last, over 3 weeks, right?

Seems like there could be some ambiguity in how that 'FBI agent investigating the Oath Keepers' was present. Was there some mass exodus from the Hoover building or was he there for another reason?
