Jodie Foster knew what it was like to be 14 and to hate your body and wish you could trade it in for somebody else's.

Those were simpler times. The year: 1976.

I'm seeing this right now because it was a clue in a game I'm already spoiling badly enough by showing you this video, but it's a game in a publication I read every day.

All that's complex today is the rule of stupidity. They cancel you.

I had a crush on Jodie Foster since The Courtship of Eddie's Father.

Ackroyd was so great doing those bits. Damn...miss those days.

Interesting how nervous she is in that clip. She was already a seasoned actor, but also a teenage girl on (almost) live TV talking about being an insecure teenage girl. And clearly insecure about it.

Ah Jodie! Why I could assassinate a president for her!

Every 14 year old girl hates her body at one time or another.

of course, Most of those young teens will, in a few years, become beautiful young women.
The people that are encouraging them to self mutilate are the Others; the people that stayed ugly.
Because the others STAYED ugly, they HATE the beautiful people; and thus; encourage as many as possible to destroy their bodies. The Others aren't doing this to Help; they're doing this to Hurt.

$49.95 was real money in those days.

You need a new poll.

SNL ...

A) Isn't funny anymore.
B) Was never very funny.

I lean towards B).

She's on live, which can be disconcerting. Also think about how that show operates, with skits getting thrown together or changed at the last minute. She might have been seeing her dialogue on the cue cards for the first time.

Belushi and Chase get the attention, but Aykroyd really was the workhorse of that crew, wasn't he?

I always thought Ackroyd was going to be the real star to come out of SNL. I was wrong. I kept watching his movies thinking that he'd pull off a great one. He never really did, but I sometimes argue that his supporting role in Grosse Pointe Blank shows that the talent was there, in my opinion it was his one great role. As it turns out, Bill Murray was the real star to come out of SNL

Sensory dysphoria per chance cognitive dissonance forced by a socially liberal society for-profit and other "benefits".

Dan Akroyd was overshadowed by Belushi in Blues Brothers, and was replaceable in Ghost Busters.
But he kept coming up with ideas. Sure, 80% of them were bad, but those two movies shine.

Ackroyd was terrific in "Driving Miss Daisy" and should have won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar.

With regard to the Professor's comments, I believer every generation in history think it is living through the most "complex" times. Yet, the Ten Commandments, the Declaration and the Constitution are there to guide us -- if we would only go back to following them!

SNL was fantastic when they had the original cast, i.e., before the Denny Dillon era. When they replaced the originals, I watched twice, was disgusted by the ineptitude and almost never watched the show again.

Ackroyd was simply terrific on that show.

I'm sick of people who hate their bodies doing anything publicly.

Just go away.
